May 27, 2013Using VS X5 - Just making up a menu for my dvd im burning. Haven made a menu since using ..VS11+ I think it was.
All seems very very familar...similar etc and not asking it to do anything out of the ordinary which 11+ couldnt cope with ( just nowadays using all this AVCHD malaky etc )
Question -Main menu of my dvd - Why am I getting on my main menu page the begininings of my movie!!! I have my main menu setup ( bringing in a pre-made 30second clip on which I will put 'Press Play to watch movie' and/or 'chapter select'. ) When i preview my main menu page...I see the 30second clip i wanted but as it runs so too does my actual movie - at the same time.
I cant seem to find a button to ..basically..tell it not to play the movie as soon as you load the dvd but instead to wait until the 30 second main menu runs and automatically reruns etc until YOU decide to press the 'Play movie' button.

Jun 15, 2013When selecting a sub menu from within a main drop down menu the arrow points to the right but the actual sub menu pops up on the left in most cases. I have only noticed this recently and wonder if I have inadvertently messed up a setting as in the past I cant recall this being so but I don't use the editor a lot so may be mistaken.

I moved those files to a different location and I’d like to see where I can tell PS about this change. It would also be nice to add more convenient ‘Favorites’ and remove those I have no need for.

in Elements - Grids, I can only adjust the minor gridlines using "Set by intensity", or the major gridlines (0,0) using "set by color". There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust both elements independantly unless I'm missing something.

Oct 7, 2013how to customise your context menu to make it like some past versions of PSP, The person asking was using PSP X5 so I reset X5 to the default by holding down the shift key as I double clicked the X5 desktop icon. The X5 default layers context menu shows this:

In addition a sub context layer is present when we look at the New Mask Layer -
To start customising first Save your current workspace - File > Workspace > Save
then do View > Customise
In the Customise dialog box select Menu and under 'Select context menu' choose Layer Palette
The current Layer Context menu shows up in a new window. The Customise and Layer Palette context window can be dragged into new positions.
Any of the commands can be dragged over onto that Layer Palette context window and positioned where you want. Any of the commands already there can be dragged around to change their order or even removed by dragging out of the the Layer Palette context window. This can be a slow process to drag commands separately amd make a sub menu, so for these complex menu items there is a faster way.
Click the Layers menu item on the Menu bar , and holding the control key down drag the New Mask Layer down and into a position in the Layer Palette context menu and release. Here you can see the New Mask Layer and its sub menu have been placed in one action.
And after Closing the Customise Dialog box I can now see that the New Mask Layer context menu is working well

I'm experiencing a problem on BOTH systems where the main menu is missing a row of pixels (see image below). Both systems are running Windows XP Pro SP3. I have Open GL disabled on both systems. The weird thing is the missing row of pixels comes and goes while I'm using the application. Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

Â If I pin a document (so that it presumably stays there no matter what) and then open other drawings, the pinned drawing gets pushed down the list just like any other. Â Eventually, it gets pushed off the list just like all the others. Â

When I work the photo (JPG, TIFF or PSD) to where it is what I want, the preview is darker in the print preview. Probably one f/stop in photo terms. And, THIS is how it actually prints.

What is causing that? And, is there a fix?

None of the "show paper color," etc. are checked, so that is not causing the difference.

VideoStudio :: X5 - DVD Will Not Play Past Title Menu
Jun 6, 2012I have finished authoring my first DVD with VSX5. The VIDEO_TS folder and contents have been produced successfully. However the burned folder is a disaster and will not play past the title menu. I have used Nero for the burn.
It is not a media problem because I have used the same media brand on hundreds of project and hardly ever had problems.
I have also tried to play the project from the VIDEO_TS folder via the IFO file. I can get past the title menu to the chapters menu but again highlighting a chapter will not change the thumbnail in the Smart Menu window but the Play button works.
I authored the same movie in Pinnacle Studio 12.1 and had no problems.

May 4, 2013I am using VideoStudio Pro Ultimate 6 and it offers me certain Menu Packs and Title Packs, but when I try to install I get the message "Installed Version of the application could not be determined. Setup will terminate". All of the single Title packs install without a hitch, but several of the packages will not. At a lost of how to troubleshoot this and wonder have others here experienced anything similar or same. I was thinking because I upgraded from Version 4 ultimate and never got 5 because I got Mercalli and ProDad with the Ultimate upgrade in Version 4, that maybe it is looking for version 5. Other than that supposition, I am at a lost.

Photoshop :: CS4 Menu And Title Bars Missing
Apr 9, 2009I have just upgraded to CS4 and am attempting to get acquainted with the new workspace options. Is there a way to maximize a floating window in Standard Screen Mode without losing the menu and title bars? I figured out how to drag images to CS4 and have them open as floating windows instead of tabs. However, when I maximize one of the images/floating windows, the menu and title bars are left out and are not visible. I would like to set the menu and title bars so that all images appear beneath them whether they or maximized or minimized.

Oct 14, 2013I just purchased, downloaded and installed PSE 12. I am running Windows 7. Everything seems to be working fine. My question is this: Why are the titles in tlhe menu bar (task bar?) at the top so small? When you actually pull down the menu it is fine but the titles (file, edit, image, filters etc) are extremely small and very hard to see. Also the path selection tool is just a dot (actually two tiny dots) and not the normal cursor arrow.

When I play them on my DVD player, they do not go to the Menu (Title Page), instead both just start to play the movie. I can only get to the Menu page by pressing 'Menu' on my remote.
