View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I open a part (or iam), the ground plane and ambient shadows are active. If I turn them off (on View tab, appearance panel) and exit the part, then reopen it again, the ground plane and ambient shadows are active again.
How do I save these appearance settings? Do I have to turn these off EVERYTIME I open a part?
I didnt see anything in the app options for this.
I have a hatch pattern in one of my objects. I want to apply exactly the same hatch pattern to other objects but I don't remember the settings for original hatch.
There is a command in ACAD to apply properties of one object to others (brush icon in toolbar). I tries to use this command but it seams that it doesn't work for hatch.
What is easiest way to apply a hatch pattern from an object to the other one?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy firm has tasked, yours truly, with transferring the CAD Detail Library to our new Revit Standards. I started out by converting our CAD details to Revit and saving them in one file in individual Detail Views. The next step is to convert the line weights to the new company standard styles and widths. I thought it would be as simple as selecting an old detail line type then “Selecting All Instances in Entire Project” and converting all of those line styles to the new standard in one fell swoop (rinsing and repeating until all the old line styles were up to date). However, Revit doesn’t allow you to “Select All Instances” of Detail Lines (oops). We have about 500 standard details that need to be converted.

Is it possible to modify a sketch symbol that has existing prompted text while keeping the existing prompted text? For example, I have a sketch symbol that is placed on every detail on the drawing. We could have 8 details on a drawing.
This sketch symbol uses prompted text to fill in the relevant information for each detail. Is there a way to change the sketch symbol globally and then copy the sketch symbol in to each drawing without losing the prompted text? Currently I have to modify the sketch symbol within each drawing. To keep the prompted text.
Is there any easy way to globally edit lineweights of certain components? Several of the components look fantastic at one scale and terrible at another. Some we just need to lighten but I cannot find where to edit them. I can always (of course) edit the block once it is inserted or edit layers in each drawing but would prefer a more permanent solution.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOutlines don't scale globally with objects. I have a crest with a bunch of elements in it. Some have outlines and some don't. It's 3 inches. I would like to enlarge it to 10 or whatever. If I select the crest and enlarge it, the outlines don't scale. The only option I've ever known of was to take them all individually and check off the scale outline on each object. It's a real workflow killer.
I spent the day reacquainting myself with CorelDraw. This and other similar show stoppers remind me of how difficult it is to make the switch from Illustrator back to CorelDraw. So how are people dealing with this? Are you simply taking however much time it takes to change each individual element to scale with object or is there a preference somewhere that I'm missing? This is a big stumbling block for me. There are a lot of major features I know I'd be leaving behind but there are others that I'd have access to. It's the little things like this that allow me to fly rather than crawl.
How can I reduce the audio volume for all the clips in the project? The original sound from the video clips is just ambient noise. I want to reduce it all by the same amount throughout the project, so that the music I put on the music track will be easier to hear, with the ambient noise being only a soft background. I can't find any control that lets me change the volume for all clips at once, and the documentation isn't very clear.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHow can I globally change the CELTSCALE of all objects in my drawing? Using PROPERTIES, I can change one element at a time, but when I choose multiple objects in the drawing at the same time, PROPERTIES does not allow me to change their CELTSCALE to (say) "1". Also, this doesn't appear to be possible using the CHANGE (Properties option) command either. The latter only allows the LTSCALE to be changed (not CELTSCALE).

View 6 Replies View RelatedIn Inventor 2012 user has ability to change the material properties globally.
All parts using certain material will follow the changes made to properties and written to single library. It is clear and predictable.
In Inventor 2013 material properties belong to individual file.
When changes were done to appearance properties of a single part there could be situation when the same material parts in the assembly could have different appearance.
Here is the fact I do not understand and it is contradict to actual reality since the same material with the same standard must look absolutelly the same when switched to Master view.
Seems like to make parts look the same or to change the appearance I should click on each single file and make the same changes to each file.
I do not intend to change the appereance properties in single file on purpose to make problems to myself but I am sure I will take somebody else part and it will be changed due unnecessary reflection or other too much realistic things added in 2013. So finally I will get some sort of parrot collored assembly without clear and most importand easy way to make an order.
So I wish I could equalize all same material parts in apearance view. I do not count the way of clicking each file.

I changed my background color to near black globally and since the default font is also black, all of my captions need to change to white. I'd also like them a little larger. It seems the only way of doing this is by selecting each caption individually, then changing its preset. That's ok for a few photos, but not very appealing for 100.
