I often use a photoshop template to create work and was wondering id there was a way to select all items that use a particular swatch color and change them to another swatch color? Right now, I have to find each instance I use that particular color and change them one by one to the new color and was trying to find a better way to do this.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a colored object, and I have a specific swatch of color that I need to change the current color of the object to. The problem I'm having is that the specific color that I'm trying to apply to the object doesn't look integrated with the object itself, it just looks like I've applied a color film over it. It's milky-looking and there's not enough contrast. I've tried adjusting levels, using different blending modes, using the Match Color command ..I can't seem to keep the integrity of the color I'm applying to the object, while still keeping the integrity of the details of the object itself. How should I tackle this using multiple layers and blending modes, and so the new color looks integrated and believable?

How can I globally change the CELTSCALE of all objects in my drawing? Using PROPERTIES, I can change one element at a time, but when I choose multiple objects in the drawing at the same time, PROPERTIES does not allow me to change their CELTSCALE to (say) "1". Also, this doesn't appear to be possible using the CHANGE (Properties option) command either. The latter only allows the LTSCALE to be changed (not CELTSCALE).

Choose the Magic Wand tool , making sure "contiguous" is checked in the Options bar. Select the rectangle under "Monochromatic (Single Hue)". Press Alt+Backspace (Windows) or Option+Delete (Mac OS) to fill the selection with the foreground color.Â
#Open the Color Picker and select two values of your base color. Apply your color selections to the "Values" swatches.
Next, select two intensities, and apply to the "Intensities" swatches.
Now that you've got your color palette, combine the colors into a swatch set. Use the Rectangular Marquee tool to draw stripes and fill with the colors you've selected above. This is a space to experiment with how the colors look next to each other.
Ready for the fun part? Make a selection around the client logo using the Rectangular Marquee tool. The logo has been separated into layers to make color application easy. First, apply color to the "bg" layer. Sample a color swatch using the Eyedropper tool , then press Alt/Option-Backspace to fill with color.
Keeping the selection active, click the "top curves" layer. Sample a color with the Eyedropper tool, then press Alt / Option-Backspace. Move on to the "middle curves" layer. Select a color, and fill.

I read in this magazine a week ago about making a swatch from an image. I forgot how it was done.
for example, you find an image online and like the color scheme. You can do create a new swatch that has all the colors in that image only.
I've just created a map with various county boundaries. I now need to fill in the counties with various shades of gray, with no two neighboring counties sharing the same shade. I've been going about it in a sort of trial and error fashion, but I can't ever seem to get it right. Is there a way that Photoshop could possibly fill it in for me? Sort of an auto-swatch application thing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe've purchased an eps file that claims that you can change the global swatch settings, but when I double click the swatch and change the color - it doesn't change anything. If I cursor over the entire art and double click the swatch to make the change, it changes the entire art to a single color. This art has hundreds of sections within it - with lots of various gradients in it. If I choose a single layer to change the colors in the gradient - I can't get the gradient colors to show up, nor can I even get it to change over to the standard black and white gradient. So, I don't know what to do here. Am I doing something wrong here in making the global swatch change? If I didn't know better, I'd say that the art has been completely divided.

Also 3ds max comes with the tutorial files ready , so i tried to open the ready scene and in it , the plane is with assigned material on it,but the .avi file can not be seen, even when u render the scene.)

Creating a Swatch from the gradient is not a solution for me, as I use the same base color in different gradients.
we have a website concept in Illustrator CS3, with named swatches for all colors. I'm wondering if there is an easy or 'semi-automated' way to generate a chart of the swatches we are using, showing there hex values?

I know I could draw out a bunch of boxes, fill them with the swatch colors, and manually look up and type in the hex values for each. But this would take a LONG time, as there are a number of color variations.
