Photoshop :: Replacing Object Color With Specific Swatch Of Color

Jun 10, 2013

I have a colored object, and I have a specific swatch of color that I need to change the current color of the object to. The problem I'm having is that the specific color that I'm trying to apply to the object doesn't look integrated with the object itself, it just looks like I've applied a color film over it. It's milky-looking and there's not enough contrast. I've tried adjusting levels, using different blending modes, using the Match Color command ..I can't seem to keep the integrity of the color I'm applying to the object, while still keeping the integrity of the details of the object itself. How should I tackle this using multiple layers and blending modes, and so the new color looks integrated and believable?

Photoshop :: How To Make Meadow Take On Color Tones Of Color From Swatch Panel

Jan 2, 2013

To create a special effect (but not TOO garish!) I'd like to change this brownish meadow so that it looks much more like one of the swatches from my color swatches panel.

Do I need to create a new adjustment layer, or are there other approaches?  Below is a screen shot.

When I create a shape with a Pantone Color and then decrease the opacity in the color swatch palette, then go to my swatches palette and select "Select All Unused Colors"  it highlights the pantone color being used in the file.  In previous version, it never did this.   This is for CS6.  Any know fix for this?

CorelDRAW X5 :: Color Incrementing (Object Specific)

Nov 22, 2012

Any alternative way to increment an objects specific R, G or B color value? What I am trying to accomplish is to take a group of objects and increment the red, green or blue value by 5 without effecting the other values.

This has to be an increment on all existing values of each individual object. So if 3 objects have 3 different RGB's but I want to increase the RED on all of them by 5.

EXAMPLE
Object 1 : R-35 G-35 B-35
Changed to R-40 G-35 B-35

Object 2 : R-55 G-100 B-150
Changed to R-60 G-100 B-150

ETC....

I know this sounds specific but I am trying to create an RGB table the easiest way possible. In this example I`m referring to RGB but it could be for CMYK as well.

Illustrator :: How To Color Part Of Object In Specific Form

Mar 3, 2014

I am trying to color a part of an object in specific form. (see the picture below) So, I have a restangular and a circle in different color. What I am trying to achieve is only the part of the circle that is over the restangular to be visible (example with photoshop- restangular on layer 1, circle on another layer above it, alt+click to create a clipping mask and it will produce the effect im looking for). However, when creating clipping mask here (from object-clipping mask-make) it seems that either the circle or the restangular will disappear. Are there other ways to achieve this, or I'm looking into the wrong one?

GIMP :: Replacing Color When Color Isn't Solid?

Jan 10, 2012

I am a texture designer as a hobby for an online game called Eternal Lands.

Ususally I just make my own textures, but I wanted to edit an existing texture this time. The texture is for armor called Red Dragon Armor, it has red scales on it.

I want to replace these red scales (without taking away the details such as the streaking and the scratches) with gold. I tried using "Color select" then "colorify" but it didn't come out quite right.

What is the usual method for changing the color of a section of an image if there are details and you don't want to use the "bucket fill" option?

GIMP :: Convert One Color To A Specific Color

Sep 22, 2012

I have a layer that is all white with text and some shapes (with heavy anti-aliasing, so the alpha channel variations of white, too) and I am trying to convert it to a specific other color (just a cream color that I have the HTML code for).

So, when a layer is all one color (not counting variation in alpha values), is there a technique to change that to a specific other color, rather than just toggling the "Color Balance" to get an approximation?

This is exactly what I'm looking for ... a precise method to mix pigments. Thanks a million for any help. My goal was to sample a color and come up with a general recipe for a color mixture using traditional artist pigments. This is what I've done so far...1. Create a swatch set that represents my paint palette2. Sample the color I want to separate3. Fill a 10 pixel by 10 pixel doc with the sample color4. Convert to Index Color using my paint palette5. Each pixel represents 1% of a paint color It's very tedious but it's all I can come up with

Photoshop :: Create Swatch Set And Color Only One Logo

Oct 23, 2012

How do I create the swatch set and I can't get the logo layers colored in?

Choose the Magic Wand tool , making sure "contiguous" is checked in the Options bar. Select the rectangle under "Monochromatic (Single Hue)". Press Alt+Backspace (Windows) or Option+Delete (Mac OS) to fill the selection with the foreground color.Â

#Open the Color Picker and select two values of your base color. Apply your color selections to the "Values" swatches.

Next, select two intensities, and apply to the "Intensities" swatches.

Now that you've got your color palette, combine the colors into a swatch set. Use the Rectangular Marquee tool to draw stripes and fill with the colors you've selected above. This is a space to experiment with how the colors look next to each other.

Ready for the fun part? Make a selection around the client logo using the Rectangular Marquee tool. The logo has been separated into layers to make color application easy. First, apply color to the "bg" layer. Sample a color swatch using the Eyedropper tool , then press Alt/Option-Backspace to fill with color.

Keeping the selection active, click the "top curves" layer. Sample a color with the Eyedropper tool, then press Alt / Option-Backspace. Move on to the "middle curves" layer. Select a color, and fill.

Next up, "bottom curves":

Photoshop :: Replacing Colors With Sample Color

I can find no way to use the red as the sample color, or transpose the RGB values shown into corresponding Hue, Saturation and Lightness values used in the Replace Color tool.

I do this every year and in the past I kept a old copy of Paintshop for this single task, but have finally deleted it and want to figure out how to do this simple task using my Photoshop 7.0.

Is there a way to take a sample from the material I want to use and apply it quickly? I have been using photoshop for a while now and can't think of a way to do this. I am thinking this may be a job for a different program, but if I can do it in photoshop that would be wonderful.

GIMP :: Select Specific Color From Image And Change Similar Color Within That Image To Different One
