I have 240 layers which are the frames for an animation. The animation is of a rendered CAD model on a white background. I want to change the background color to a specific RGB color (or transparent) to match the website bg.
Is there a way I can replace one color with another on multiple (or all) layers in one operation? I'm using Photoshop CC.
I have to deal with multiple layer documents for producing underwater mosaics. Very often, the images vary in colors a bit. For large mosaics, I run the images thru a batch job before I use them. For smaller mosaics (e.g. just 10 to 20 images), this is a bit of overkill, in case I have to tweak just 5 or 10 or so.
In this case, I prefer picking one of the 20 layers as my "reference" and manually match the colors of those layers, that need the match, one by one.
My question now: Is there a way, that I could select, lets say 10 layers that need the match and apply the Match Color to all of them in one go?
I have a colored object, and I have a specific swatch of color that I need to change the current color of the object to. The problem I'm having is that the specific color that I'm trying to apply to the object doesn't look integrated with the object itself, it just looks like I've applied a color film over it. It's milky-looking and there's not enough contrast. I've tried adjusting levels, using different blending modes, using the Match Color command ..I can't seem to keep the integrity of the color I'm applying to the object, while still keeping the integrity of the details of the object itself. How should I tackle this using multiple layers and blending modes, and so the new color looks integrated and believable?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created a grid of around 80 individual text layers (each layer is a single letter) and first, I want to animate their opacity as a group, then INDIVIDUALLY animate their opacity (again) and color. How do I do this?
Also, while I'm asking, I have two simpler questions:
- is there a way to animate the color of multiple layers at once so I don't have to click on each individual layer and do it manually?
- how do I achieve a "swipe" opacity effect? If this is not clear I can explain but I won't bother for now.
What I'd like to do is adjust the color and brightness/contrast of many layers of an animation. Now, for a still image with many layers I know you can generally add a partially transparent layer over the whole thing, however, since it's an animated .gif I have to do the same thing to each individual layer. I could probably go through and do it by hand and just get it over with. But, I'm curious if there's a feature for this, or is there a plugin that can repeat actions for multiple layers?

So now my "17_COOL_MEPA_SUP" layer and all of his futures (including color,line thickness and so on) need to be changed to "10_C_HVAC_S" with other futures (different color,different thickness). I know that I can rename group of layers by using script file ,but can I totally replace group of layers with another group?

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I'm trying to create a fairly simple script that will measure the size of art on the artboard for making printing plates. That part I have working. But once I have made one file, I have to delete the measurements layer manually (which is where the script puts them) so that I can make the next one. I need the script to check and see if there is a layer called "measurements" delete it and then create a new one called "measurements" in which to put the dimensions of the (new) artwork. This way I can keep making files and "saving as" with a new name.

Ususally I just make my own textures, but I wanted to edit an existing texture this time. The texture is for armor called Red Dragon Armor, it has red scales on it.
I want to replace these red scales (without taking away the details such as the streaking and the scratches) with gold. I tried using "Color select" then "colorify" but it didn't come out quite right.
What is the usual method for changing the color of a section of an image if there are details and you don't want to use the "bucket fill" option?
For this school project I need to make a design for a big wall in an accountancy/economy theme. My idea is to desaturate a bunch of pictures related to the theme, and make the middle or lower grey tones green.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have scanned our baseball teams calendar schedule which has the days colored-coded; red for home games and white for away games. Also, they certain special home dates colored in a light blue. I want to replace all the light blue days with the same red that is already in use on the rest of the schedule.
I can find no way to use the red as the sample color, or transpose the RGB values shown into corresponding Hue, Saturation and Lightness values used in the Replace Color tool.
I do this every year and in the past I kept a old copy of Paintshop for this single task, but have finally deleted it and want to figure out how to do this simple task using my Photoshop 7.0.

The new material will be both a different color and a different texture so just changing the color with an adjustment layer will not work, but may be part of the process. I need this to look very realistic; complete with shadows and highlights.
Is there a way to take a sample from the material I want to use and apply it quickly? I have been using photoshop for a while now and can't think of a way to do this. I am thinking this may be a job for a different program, but if I can do it in photoshop that would be wonderful.

suppose a particular design has 4 colors in RGB mode. A,B,C and D
A: 2-72-127
B: 1-49-87
C: 187-153-238
D: 8-55-255
And lets assume that I have another set of colors I want to change to: E, F, G and H
E: 0-130-175
F: 95-38-5
G: 140-100-0
H: 130-120-120

How to Apply adjustment layers to multiple layers that have different blending modes and keep the colors the same as the adjustment done?
I work in Animation painting Backgrounds. My files are sometimes upwards to 200+ layers.I will use adjustment layers to quickly balance colours and constrast on top of those many many layers.
The only way that I know of how to apply adjustment layers it to every single layer ( by applying I mean I need to get rid of the adjustment layers because we cant use them in production but i need the new colours be applied to all layers underneath ) in a psd is to manually do it By duplicating the adjusment layer 200+ times and then merging each layer to one of those adjustment layers so that that layer can take the adjustment layers effect permanently.
The issue is that Within Those 200 layers I have some layers set to Multiply or OVERLAY. IT obviously wont apply the adjustment layer properly to those layers because those layer blend mode affect the layers under them. The colour wont be the same anymore in the spots that had the multiply blended mode.

I have 2 adjustment layers up top. I need to get rid of them by applying them to each layer! I cannot merge any of the layers. We need all those layers for production.I can apply the adjustment layers manually and this works GREAT for all Layers set to normal. THey take on the colour change just FINE.
However, The issue is that layer 6 and layer 4 are both set to mutiply and this screws up the colour once i apply the adjustment layers to each layer manually...
How can i apply my adjustment layers to a file like this with some layers being set to multiply while keeping the layers exactly the same configuration and The new colour taking effect exactly how i looks before i apply the adjustment layers? Now the simple solution is to merge the multiply layers to the layer that it affects HOWEVER I NEED those multiply layers to be separate!
I have a low-res bitmap. It has a dark grey background with a plain white icon. The transitional pixels are various shades of grey.
I want to make the dark grey into a bright blue, leave the white white, and have the transitional pixels changed to maintain their respective "in between" values.
I do have Photoshop CS2 but I though Xara was more likely to be able to do this.
Imagine a layer containing 10 squares, each square is isolated (none are touching). I need a quick way to put each of those squares on its own layer. Is there something already built in, or any plugin or action?

So I wanna break some stuff down in multiple AI files, but I don't wanna go and select every layer and delete it. That would take too much time. Is there a way to select the multiple objects in Illustrator and delete that but also its layer its in?
I'm using Adobe Photoshop 9.0 cs2 and I need help with a large color replacement project. I'm an amature video game designer making a level for the classic P.C. game Doom 2 and I'm creating a new weapon and monster for the level I'm creating. For the monster I plan to alter the colors of the frames of the original monster and change the dimensions of key features.
use an indexed color mode that were extracted into individual .png files.
Today I made the big mistake of changing the frames over to RGB mode so I can use the color replacement tools available in that mode. I should have done one frame first then convert it back to indexed color mode because the frames look terrible when converted back from RGB mode. What it is doing is using all the colors of the RGB color spectrum to replace various colors. Unfortunately what this means is that its using colors that are not in the color palette I loaded in the original pic and when I convert it back it looks terrible. There are enough colors in the doom color palette to produce the look I'm after but the automated conversion process from RGB to indexed colors does not pic the best matches in most cases. By doing this I am taking an image consisting of about 150 different shades of color down to about 75 different shades of color. I cant find any color replacement tools for indexed colored images and its going to take me forever to do all frames pixel by pixel so I need one of two things to be able to accomplish what I need. Either a better way of converting these images back, or some tool I can actually use in indexed color mode. If there is a way to select a pixel and change all other pixels of that exact color to a new color then I can just do it pixel by pixel that way. I need something here or I'm going to lose hours of work. If there is a way to load my color table into RGB mode to limit what colors it uses that might work too.
I would just leave the pics in RGB mode if the game im editing for could use that format but unfortunatly anything I convert to RGB will have to be converted back to 256 colors for it to work in the game.
I found an old thread from 2011 about the same problem and the mod reported it to the devs, but as far as I know no solution has ever been offered.(maybe in cs6? we are still using cs5)For one or two layers it's no problem to do it manually, but with say 40 layers with corresponding linked layers we need a better solution.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get a white layer with see through writing which reveals the background image underneath. (Almost like I have put a stencil over a photograph). I have discovered this is called a clipping mask.
However, I am having difficulty using a clipping mask over multiple text layers. It seems to only do it to one layer directly beneath. I do not want to merge the text layers as I want to mess about with the design a fair bit.
I want to drag multiple adjustment layers, typically four with default masks but no masking has been applied, from one document to another. I have read several articles about this, but no method works reliably for me. I running CS6.

Can this be done with both layers at the same time using "paste into"? I have tried using groups and also tried linking with "paste into" with no luck. Once pasted I also want to be able to manipulate both layers at the same time. I have searched all over and haven't found an answer. I am using CS4.
