There used to be an option called 'Switch to horizontal ribbon' in the right click menu when having the entire ribbon as a floating window. Looks like they removed it, so now I'm stuck with a vertical floating ribbon (?).
View 4 RepliesMy floating toolbars have the icons across in a horizontal straight line, but every time I open PSPX4 they are stacked 2 rows or more. I have to readjust them every time. It remembers where I had them placed but doesn't remember they are horizontal and opens them with the icons vertical.This is with SP1 installed. I don't know if it did that before SP1. Don't have this problem with X3.

Clicking that plane in the widget, or slecting the rectangle and hitting 2, results in the rectangle oriented towards the right vanishing point (or 2:00). I need it to point the other way, toward the left vanishing point (to 10:00).
Is there some way to force an object to do that?
Is there a way to orientate the ribbon horizontally so that I can have it along the top of my second monitor? It seems that while undocked it only goes vertically.

View 7 Replies View RelatedBeen using VidoeStudio Pro X5 for couple years and just picked up a used PC. It had XP and could capture with installed VS X5 with no issues. Today i upgraded to Windows 7, reinstalled VS X5 and cant get past the "Unable to switch Capture" error. I can capture using my Canon Vixia HV40 and Sony FX1000 via Firewire with no problems using HDV Split, Roxio Creator and Cyberlink Powerdirector, so problem must be somewhere with VS X5.I can "control" the camera (stop, play, rewind,etc) through VS X5, but the Capture and Option buttons are grayed out and no image in preview window.
I have tried googling and downloaded a few codecs and drivers but no joy. Naturally I have rebooted and tried fresh install as well
I'm trying to convert VHS to DVD. I have VS4Pro and a Hauppauge Collosus capture card and I get the error "unable to switch to cpature mode" when I'm in the capture tab and click capture video. VS4Pro recognizes the card but pops up the error "unable to switch to capture mode". In device manager, the drivers for the card appear to be installed/operating correctly.

I want to work with more then one picture at the same time and I want to be able to open more pictures during my work. With version X3 I could switch between Manager and Edit to open more pictures. Now the program closes all opened pictures if I switch from "Edit" to "Manage". Is that as it should work now?
How can I open the browser inside the Edit area? I could not find a function or Icon to do that. I just found the possibility to use the function 'Dual Monitor'.
If I select the function 'Dual-Monitor' the program changes my selected setting (Thumbnail Mode) to Preview Mode and I cannot change it anymore. Is that as it should be or is it a bug? I want to work with Thumbnail mode and not with Preview Mode.
I have Dual-Monitor switched o and restart the program. Now the two tasks are not opened on my two screens. I currently see the Edit screen and cannot switch to the Manager. Even with the task manager I cannot switch to the Manager of PSP. When I closed the program after switching on Dual-Monitor I had both tasks on different screens and so I would have expected to get it with the next start of the program.
If I open more then one picture I get a task in the taskbar for each opened picture. That seem to be very strange for me. I do not have more then one task of the program. I have several opened pictures in own windows (not tabbed) in one program.
I made a simple block for a utility pole in plan view. It consisted of a donut with one string of mtext beside it. I had created it so that the text would orientate itself to be horizontal in each viewport regardless of the ucs angle. I later added a line for a guy wire and made the block dynamic with visibility states. Now I am unable to have the text orientate to a horizontal position in the viewports.

I am trying to customize Autocad 2012 ribbon tab. I can't seem to find how to mimic the small arrow that appears in several of the standard menus. For example, in the 3D Solids - Home Tab, the second panel from the left is "3D Solids Home - Mesh" It has a small arrow in the corner that opens up a preferences dialogue box.
How can I add that arrow to a custom panel with that little arrow so that I can add my command to it?

I saw some source that hinted you could use panel1Panel.AddSlideout() but in the search I do not see any Ribbon API that allows for any slideout functionality?Do you *have* to use the CUI API for this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Illustrator CS6 - Cloud - there's an annoying box floating above my canvas in the upper left hand corner. It is a transparent fill with a black stroke and a dark outer glow.
I've tried turning off every palette and window view, yet it still appears "above" the canvas window. It goes away when the application loses focus but then returns after the application is brought to the foreground. This has to be a bug?

My locked viewport floats horizontally, all of the time. It does it on all my drawings. Is there a fix for this phenomenon? Is AutoCAD planning on fixing this?

I can't believe how hard it is to change modes in the histogram.I have to undock it, change it to expanded view, change the mode, change it back to compact view and redock it. I have a dwg that when dimensioned (or when inserting new text) the dimensions are off the 0 axis on the z. The only reason I think that, is it looks blurry till I flatten it(checked the properties before flattening and it says 0). What I don't understand is why its still happening after the whole drawing has been flattened.

When I am working with various pictures in PS, I have like 10 open and every time I go out of photoshop and come back, they have all closed down to the docking window. I have to re-open them again from there, I want to STOP THEM from closing when I go to desktop or somewhere else. I want them to stay afloat. I know I can click Ctrl + mouse and "restore all windows" but that is also a nuisance because it resized my PS window and I have to push up teh layers palette again.

But the only way I can figure out how to do it is to add one call out to each layer, so I end up with 10 layers, one for each call out. Is there anyway to add all of these on to one layer while retaining the ability to move them around separately?
i have photoshop CS6 in a mac os x operative system and when i drag one image from the tabs to make it as a floating window in order to keep that image as a reference for the painting that i am working on, that floating window disappears behind my PS CS6 window like if it was part of another program when i click out of it, why is this happening.

I have Pro X4 ultimate. Sommes filters transition 3 D like cube floating don't work. I have reinstall many time but the result is the same. The others filters are OK.
Before I had Pro X3 et Pro X4 and it was OK.
