I have been trying to make an animation with a logo, I have to use pro cutter in order to accomplish this task. My problem is one I use a box mesh as a cutter, then cut it, I delete the box meshes, but pro cutter has duplicated them and merged them to my mesh. So I can't delete the extra boxes without deleting my mesh.

from what I understand, mesh cleanup fixes problems with bad geometry. but is there a function by which I can delete all edgeloops in a mesh that don't contribute to the shape? so Maya turns the mesh into as low rez as possible while retaining the shape....
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with a blueprint for a house. the plan was sent to me dwg. We use pdf factory to print the plans. This leaves a black spot where ever the dwg has mask on the dimensions. Which happens to be throughout the plan and it will only let me take it off one text box at a time. There is way too many dimensions in the plan for this to be practical. how to remove this mask from all? I am using autocad lt and pdf factory to print.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA simple editable mesh object, a piece of terrain, which has standard texture on it an no modifiers, just some UV's on channel 1.
Whenever I add "edit poly" modifier or convert it to editable poly, additional geometry will be created. Statistics show that only vertex count of the selected object goes up about 6x but no additional faces are generated. This not the case when check on a sub-object level, there are lot of additional faces created. I've never seen this happen, jumping between edit poly and edit mesh has been easy without any errors like this.
I've tried the same model with 2013 as well - same results. Also tried collapsing the object, removing uv-mapping, different materials, attaching the mesh to empty box, etc, garbage collection, exporting it to obj and importing - even then same thing happens.
How do I delete images from elements 12 with out deleting them from my folders?

I have an object that fades to nothing after it's use is done, at frame 3000 say, and I was wondering if there was a way to just delete the mesh after that. Normally I would use vol select and a deletemesh modifier, but those seem to mess with the Pathdeform WSM a fair amount. This is really more for the sake of optimization, since that's around a million polygons that are still there, and making my poly count look silly high. Currently using the visibility track to make it vanish.

Now when I try to delete the fillet (to replace it with chamfer) Inventor gives me a box: "delete features" and the middle box can be selected which says "dependent sketches and features". If I check the box and hit ok, some of the unreleated holes and chamfers gets deleted and the fillet I wanted to delete doesn't get deleted. If I uncheck the box, different chamfers and threads dissappear, fillet I wanted to delete stays in place again and yellow box appears on the corner of the part. So what should I do to just delete the fillet and keep everything else?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have several lisp routines I have been using since Acad 2002 (with occasional minor revisions) for my title blocks that open up a dialog boxes. None of the lisps I have that should open up a dialog box are working in a fresh 2012 install.
The lisps work in 2010 but not in 2012. I searched through the boards and found some info but it hasn't worked (made sure ATTREQ & ATTDIA set to 1).
Here is one the lisps in question:

I have tried changing the attdia value to 1 in the lisp but the result is the same. The command fails at the same spot:

If I use -insert I can get the blocks to run by typing all the information at the command line but I want my dialog boxes back!
I am unable to resize text boxes and shapes.
I have tried to reset my bounding box and also hidden and unhidden edges. It won't let me resize anything. Where there used to be an resize cursor, there is just a default cursor.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLightrooms crashed, which is a common occurrance. But, this last time was different. After I restarted it my catalog was not linked and all my settings were gone. I tried opening the catalog through the file menu, but absolutely nothing happens. I tried going to the folder and clicking on it but this only opens lightroom with no catalog. After having scanned this forum I found that I need to delete the .lock file, but after doing that the same things happen. how to open my catalog? Will reinstalling Lightroom work?

Here's the situation. I have a block that will be inserted showing a piece of angle iron that is used for a stiffener. We have various sizes that will need to be used. Instead of typing in the angle size each time it's inserted can I have a list of all the angle sizes and then a pick box or radial dial or something to be selected and that is what is put in the block?
I'm encountering disable of Delete key. Normally i use "Delete" key to erase object after it is selected. Since yesterday i can't use that key anymore. How to check the setting. I'm sure its not keybord's issue coz i can still use the key in other program(Excel & Word).

I found instructions that said to select the keyword. But I have no way to select the keyword. At least I haven't found the way. In the Library, where the keywords are, I found no way to select them. Clicking on them does no good. I found I could uncheck keywords from the Keyword List, but that requires a lot of scrolling. There must be a faster way.

I also have noticed that menu under right click does not have the same options as before ie. block edit is not there and so on. I have opened differend dwg ones that I wasn't working on when it crushed and the same thing happed.
I opened my drawings with 2012LT and everything works fine.
I`m working on this architecture project and copied some clean lines to the file from a landscape design project.
Somehow these text styles showed up to my file (more than 50 text styles from xrefs, because of their strange names, even though I don`t have any attachment). And it says that I cannot delete them cause I`m using it.
I`ve tried out everything I could imagine and read about it. It doesn`t work. Now this simple .dwg file is very heavy and with a lot of unwanted text styles. Even if I try to copy just the lines to start over another file, all the text styles go together.

TXTMRG (not sure how to use it)

Attached is one of the files that this happened to. As I`m working with a few attachments this happened to all of it. My default text style are "B3_1.5", "B3_2.0" and "B3_3.0". All the other are unwanted text styles.
We are using AutoCAD 2013 and our client is using Mechanical Desktop 2009 ,problem we are facing is that we are unable to see the object which they see in the same drawing by giving visible command. These unwanted objects remains even after purging the drawing and we are unable to delete at our end as we cannot see them because there is no such command like visible in AutoCAD.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThere's a layer in the drawing we received from the surveyor that doesn't match the client's standards. When I try to merge it with another layer or delete the layer, the command stops as soon as I pick a line on the layer. There are no objects visible on the layer so it may part of a style. I don't think it's part of a block as the surveyor used the client's blocks.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded AutoCAD 2012 on my imac running on my Parallels system, meaning I have the Windows version or AutoCAD 2012 running on parallels. (Because there are too many problems with AutoCAD for mac).
There is one problem however, I cannot delete by using 'backspace' on my mac keyboard. I always have to right click the selected object and go to erase. Does there exist a keyboard shortcut for erase?
I have my pictures on an external HD, formatted to Windows (XP). On my WIN7 computer, I've imported the pictures from the ext HD, into LR5. But I can't delete a bad picture, only remove from catalog. When I try to delete, I get this message : "the file could not be moved to resycle bin". If I go to the folder in Windows I have no problem deleting the file.I Should mention, that a Macbook Air have been reading files from this ext HDD.
