Photoshop :: Realistic 3D Rendering Converted To Less Realistic Image?
Oct 11, 2013Was wondering if there are some ways in converting a highly realistic rendering of an object generated in a 3D program into a more illustrative, simplified, alittle less realistic version in Photoshop?
The object has plenty of silver reflections, HDRI environment map reflections, precise shadows and highlights, etc. I just want to make it look more generic and not as polished I guess.

Are there filters or plugins that will do this in a plug in play method or is it more prodedural and manual?

VideoStudio :: Pro X4 - Overlay Function Not Present
Apr 23, 2012I have a trial version of VideoStudio Pro X4.The overlay tab is not present at the top of the interface. Is this feature left off of the trial version? The video I have in the overlay track is blank and cannot be seen over the main track. Am I doing something wrong or is the feature not part of the program? I need to be sure there is a chroma key feature that works well before buying the program.

Nov 25, 2013I am new to Civil 3d, and have just completed the first pass on a design that includes several corridors. Â I am confused on the best way to prepare actual drawings.
I initially thought that plan production would be useful, however it seems that these are fixed. Â It seems odd that draft drawings cannot be present for review and editing. Is this correct or am I missing something?Â
It also seems like a huge task to generate the styles required to present the corridor in an appropriate format for a drawing, let alone several drawings that may have different requirements - in particular for a new comer who would not have set up the range of styles.
Therefore I consider two approaches are feasable - XREF the corridor or Extract Polylines.
I now think the best way to prepare drawings is to export polylines of the key components of the corridor and prepare drawings using this. Â This would be combined with the alignment, pipe and surface data, that can be used in the drawings via Data Short Cuts.
Lightroom :: Export JPEG Of Metadata Is Not Present

I have saved the metadata with CTRL + S and I selected ALL in the list "Metadata" module export.
VideoStudio :: X4 Audio Present But Not Played Back After Capturing VHS?
Jul 9, 2012I've tried everything I can think of to get the audio to playback after capturing from a VHS tape, but can't figure it out. I can hear the audio output from my sound card during capture, but playback has no audio. I noticed in the Video Properties box of the Options menu in Capture that the "audio source" says "pass through to sound card", but the "audio source" box is grayed out and can't be changed. I am using an S-Video cable for the video from the VCR, and L/R audio to a stereo plug into my Line In on the motherboard. I can hear the audio during capture, but not playback. BTW, the only means I have at this point is to use Pinnacle Studio to capture, then export as an mpg. file to import into VideoStudio. Pinnacle gives me a choice in audio inputs. Why is VSX4 not allowing that?

I have create the PSD file using the trail version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 (downloaded from adobe.com). That trail has expired so i have just purhased Photosop CS 6 (from adobe.com). Before installing the version i purhased, i uninstalled the trail version.

I dont understand this. It the same computer and the font is a system font that comes with the OS (Windows). I cannot create any new text layers.

Just like it happens in case of reflection, when we are creating a copy of selected art object, the reflected copy doesn't present on the 'Layer' panel but it is visible on the document and user is not able to select the reflected one, while he can only select the original art.

Oct 31, 2012I've attached an example of a workflow we use to make different instances of products.part1 gets assembled in assembly1 which then gets derived in part2 to receive a bend.We use assembly1 in one place and part2 in another.(this is a simplified example, made with IV2013 SP1.1)
In part1, if you add the thread feature, the "bend part" feature in part2 fails after updating.This also happens if you try to add a "bend part" to part1 AFTER the thread feature, if the bend is present beforehand it does work.
Having the bend before the thread feature in part1 doesn't work with our workflow, because we need the assembly1 to be straight.In short, the thread feature is causing problems with "bend part".
I can't say if this problem was present in previous versions or even in the previous service pack since we don't use this workflow that often, especially with threaded parts, but i hope this can get fixed with a hotfix.

Jan 23, 2013Problem: When I create a new viewport, another viewport's paperspace blanks out or disappears. When I copy a viewport over, the new VP doesn't show anything and you can't maximize/"enter" its paperspace; it's like a simple rectangle, but the properties box says it is indeed a viewport.
Ex. Viewport 1 shows the top view of an object, Viewport 2 shows the right side view... as soon as I add Viewport 3, the top view in VP 1 blacks out. I attempt to ReDraw, Regenerate, etc, but it doesn't re-appear. I've run Plot Preview to see if maybe it's just a fluke with the graphics card on my screen, but alas, even in plot preview the viewport is blanked out.
It almost seems like there is a limited number of viewports I can use.
Solution: Run the MaxActVP command and set the value to a number greater than the number of VPs you actually need. This particular file had that value set at 2; hence, why a new, third VP blanked out the first one.

Feb 15, 2013At my company we use part numbers as file names for everything. for example, part number 09090P00100000, will be saved as 09090P00100000.ipt and will have a drawing saved as 09090P00100000.idw.
Within the drawing template file, i want to set up an ilogic rule that will check that the part present in the drawing corresponds to the file name of the drawing. This rule will run after saving and will just display a warning if the file names do not correspond.
I just need some code that will get the file name of the part displayed in the drawing. Note that we use iparts so the code must get the member file name and not the factory file name.

Dec 6, 2013Is there a way to search the database/tables/whatever to determine if new layers are present in a drawing?
I want to run a script to reconcile new layers in the sheet drawings after having cleaned the xref drawings, and the script bombs if there are no new layers present in the parent drawing.
If I could determine what triggers the layereval/layernotify sequence (tblsearch?) I could include an if or while lisp routine that would invoke the layer command and then reconcile the new layers.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Editing In Viewport That Is Over A Viewport?
Jul 12, 2012I have a drawing with a viewport that fits to the page. And I created another smaller viewport over top that just shows the legend. Now when I try to double click inside the smaller viewport it always goes into the larger one. I have tried bringing the smaller one to the front but that didn't work. I know that I can clip the larger viewport around the smaller one or bring the legend right into paperspace or slid the smaller one off to the side work in it and slide it back. This is more out of curiosity of how to get into the smaller viewport.
