View 9 RepliesOnly after this occurred a second time did I realize there was an issue with the rendering.
I rendered frames 600-1500 on the machine with max 2014. The renderer indicated that all frames were rendered in the usual way. However, upon playback (avi), the animation lasted 18 seconds rather than the expected 30, with the last 12 seconds (about 360 frames) missing.
This happened for the first time a couple of days ago using the same project file. In both cases, the avi file size was 1,044, 391 KB. It is not unusual for other project avi files to greatly exceed this. I have looked in the project file for some parameter that set an avi file size limit without success.

i have looked everywhere for torublshooting for this. but they are all for 3d max 2009. I have the 2012 version and the render status bar is gone missing. I cannot find the INI file.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have created a short 4 second comp and it all plays back fine until I actually try to render it. I've tried rendering the layer on it's own in a seperate comp and it disappears then as well and just becomes a white screen, but the original one when put into a comp works fine. I've spent hours editing it and putting it in place so i really don't want to start again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor no apparent reason the Render Button at the bottom of the view frame has disappeared. With RayTrace I just get a black screen. It was all working fine then suddenly the problem occurred.
There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the PC - I can render in MAX Design as normal.
I was having three 3D layers moving ontop of a background. Everything was working fine, although very slow on 8GB macbook pro late 2011. Everything was fine while testing it in the "motion window". Then i started rendering it and the output video file is missing two of the three layers? What is wrong? Additionally, if I now go back to the "motion window", i have the same problem: While playing the file, two layers are missing.

Description:
1. The model is completed.
2. Renderer is assigned to 'mental ray'.
3. When in the material editor, when i click on "Arch and Design", the drop down template is MISSING.
Installation was perfectly fine.
I want tp write my first programm with autolisp. I use Autocad 2012(rus). When I run my script I see that some of points are missed in the autocad. Maybe I do something wrong?

how to edit a solid with opening a hole only one face and deleting an another face..
I added a drawing file which has a coloured face solid,I put a circle on blue face and making a hole on this face,and I want to delete red face without exploding solid,after all this I want to mesh this solid with maximum 25 units.
There is any option to merge bottom face of pad eye and pipe curved face... Something like
1. Extrude face to a surface or
2. like notch option available in frame generator ?
N:B - pad eye is made by extrusion and pipe made by frame generator.
All I need to do is merge a circular face to a flat face, so both faces become one continuous face. Is this possible at all?
I have a attached a screenshot to show what I mean. Face 1 needs to be merged with face 2. This is so if I constrain anything to that face it will constrain to the entire face and not either the circular face OR the flat face.
when I anchor the layer face over the background face the floating selection disappears which means I cannot work on the layer face and therfore am unable to erase the layer face into the background face,this is on gimp 2.6

The blue one is a correct tangent normal map created from a sphere in max 2011, the colored one is the the one created inside max 2012 from the same objects and settings, and the last is another sample of normals generated in max 2012.

Is it possible to render an object to fit exactly into the render window. i.e If I have a plane object segmented into 512 * 512 segments and I randomly colour each polygon. If I render at 512*512 pixels, I would like to fit the plane exactly so that the rendered image shows 1 pixel per polygon.
Whilst you can select region to render its not that exact and is based on the visual window. can it be utilized with render blowup.

I know this is strange method, but I want to know if this exist.
I need to make a picture of a person's face blend seamlessly into the sky. The below shows you what I mean. At the moment the Kenyan Warrior's face has harsh edges and doesn't look properly blended in. My very limited Photoshop ability had me placing an inner glow and bevel and gloss to get something close to what I want, however I suspect the real tool I need for this is completely unknown to me!
