View 1 RepliesI have a problem with the cursor in 3DS max 2014. I am using windows 8 and when i hover over the empty spaces in the menus on the right, the cursor flickers between the arrow an the hand.

The tool bar changes to the correct function .i.e. zoom, or crop, or whatever I choose. But it won't do anything but pan...
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy does dragging on a Touch Screen change the cursor into a Hand Tool? This did not happen in CS 5.5 and I could edit on my touch screen monitor. With Photoshop CS 6, as soon as I start to drag, the cursor changes to a hand cursor. I have look at all of the system options and nothing seems to affect it so I have to assume it is something wrong with Photoshop CS 6.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to change the radius using (Right Arrow) but now it's only letting me choose to 1 radius and nothing in between.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI use the Live Paint option and the Live Paint bucket often. It is really convenient to change the swatch I am using by using the left-right arrow keys to change my swatch chosen in the Swatch Palette. But in CS6, if I am doing so, and the next swatch chosen is a percentage tint of another color (for example, I have a swatch Blue, and a swatch Blue 85%, which is the Blue Swatch tinited to 85% in the color palette and then made into a saved swatch), the "select" box around the swatch disappears, and I can no longer change the swatch choice without re-clicking on it.
I can change easily between swatches that are not percentages of the original, with no problem. CS5 and all earlier versions that had this feature had no problem whatsoever.
I'm working along in PS CC (and this happened in CS6) and all is going fine. Then for some unknown reason the cursor changes to a hand and none of the tools will work. The only way to reset PS, is to restart the computer. Just restarting PS won't work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe cursor displays the Hand on any image I open, regardless of what tool is selected. I can select other tools, change the pallette and the cursor is normal but I go back over to the image and it goes to the hand and I can't do anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWorking away in ps cs5 and click on the direct selection tool and all I get is the hand (move) tool and what ever tool I click on I just get the hand tool! This happened in indesign too.
It goes back to normal if I reboot and just found that when i opened illustrator while having this prob in ps and then went back to photoshop the problem rectified.
my cursor always remains in the "hand" - mode, so I can't use any tools anymore.

I'm seeing two hands, two magnifying glasses, two selection tool arrows, etc.
How do I get rid of the doppleganger? It doesn't affect performance,
I have a second laptop with a different bluetooth mouse and have shut that off (machine and mouse) thinking it was picking up an extra signal, but it doesn't make a difference.
My cursor has decided to display in an impossibly light blue. I want my black cursor back. What do I do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen painting with the paintbrush the cursor flickers between the round brush size cursor to an arrowhead. The paintbrush continues painting as it should, but the cursor flickers constantly between the 2. This is a visual annoyance but doesn't seem to affect performance.
I'm on Photoshop CS6 (latest updates) on 2008 Mac Pro 3,1 with OS X 10.6.8.
i don't have a normal cursor, which in my case is an arrow. instead i have what looks like three tiny hands in a row. this makes it very difficult to be accurate when cropping, or tilting. i uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail. i'm using cs4 extended
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Bamboo Pen tablet to use with GIMP and have been installing under Windows (XP).
The tablet installs fine, is recognised by GIMP and I can draw with the stylus. Excellent. The only problem is that the cursor/arrow is missing which means that I can draw things but I only know where the stylus is when I start to write/draw.
I am hoping that this is a simple settings issue but how to make the cursor/arrow visible?
When I'm working in an image, and in other places, the cursor is a horizontal series of symbols rather than the pointer arrow I'm used to in PSE 6, 10 and 11. The left side of the symbols is where the cursor is at.
I don't know what this is about, and don't care. I want the pointer arrow I'm used to. I've looked in Preferences but see nothing that applies. How do I replace these hard to use and irritating horizontal symbols with the pointer arrow?
When I try to click and drag any tool the curser turns into a hand in photoshop cs6.
View 9 Replies View RelatedFor cropping part of an image, the cursor virtually snaps to positions according to what the programmer sees in the image. Maybe not always, but that is the way it seems to me in many cases. Even when it does not do so, I find it impossible to move the cursor in very tiny increments by using my mouse. If I were to greatly enlarge the image on the screen to get finer control, then only part of the image would fit on the screen. I want a technique for controlling the selection with as much fine precision as is available when resizing, for example. We can specify hundredths of a millimeter when resizing; very finely precise indeed.
Is there a technique that I can use to have very fine and precise control of a crop, preferably by specifying a movement left-right-up-down using decimal fractions of a unit of distance? The same question applies to using the selection tool.
Why can't I see the cursor when I need to change a word or sentence?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to change the cursor while a script is running? I have several scripts which work on large numbers of objects, and it would be very useful to have the cursor change to the spinning color wheel or hourglass while the script is looping away.
I understand that Adobe's JavaScript Toolkit would let you build a progress-bar dialog, but the delays are rarely long enough to justify such a thing. All the same, a change of cursor would reassure users (and not just me!) that things were indeed happening.
I am a beginner and I think some thing is turned off but the do not know what, because you need this spacial cursor on screen to change values in the channel box but my own is not showing up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not new to lightroom. In every photo I go in to edit with the tools (any of them/all of them) my cursor only appears as the tool along the edge of my workspace. Once I move the cursor into about a half inch (on the computer screen) into the workspace my cursor becomes an arrow again, not allowing me to edit except for on the edges. I mean, I can drag the portion of the picture into the area in the workspace that allows my cursor to function as a tool, but this is not easy nor is it preferable in any way.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHow do you change the characteristic of the cursor from Hand (Move Tool) back to just being a pointer? This condition only exists in the Develope Module when my cursor is placed over the top of the photo. When I move it off the photo it returns to a pointer. In the Library Module it is always a pointer like I like it to be.

The Arrow head size didn't change corresponding to the scale, i included the pic below, the top picture, the arrow head was set at .18" but was really small when i plot out, so i wanted to make it bigger, when i changed to .50" or .75" or even 1" the arrow head became even smaller than .18". Only when .18" than the arrow side is legible

I'm using AI CC now, but I noticed this problem in earlier versions of AI: If I want to place a one-word label on an illustration I move the type insertion cursor to a speific point on the screen image and click, but then the flashing insertion point, where the label will actually start, pops up elsewhere, usually a line or two above where the cursor was, and a pica or two to the left, forcing me to type the label, then move it into position rather than simply typing it in the right place and moving on. The problem is merely annoying, but I'd like to fix it. It's probably a matter of ignorance-I simply haven't read the right documentation, but I don't know what to call the problem. Where can I find out how to change the position of the cursor relative to the insertion point?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently downloaded the Adobe Photoshop CS3 Trial, and I've been using it for a couple days now. I was using it today, and I don't know what I did, but my cursor is a 'Hand', but it seems I cannot do anything, or change to a different tool, such as a brush. I'll click the brush tool, but the cursor will remain the 'Hand', and same with all the other tools. I also opened another version of Photoshop that I own (Adobe photoshop 5.0), and the cursor there is also a 'Hand', and it's the same problem as in CS3.
