When I import images (using Xara Designer Pro v7.1) I do I the images to arrive at their actual image size (in pixels)?
e.g. I just created an image which is 788x 953, however when I import it (using File ==> Import etc...) it arrives at 500x376!

the default setting is 1920 - far too low for me
ok it can be supressed on a session basis, but the number of clicks to acheive anything keeps creeping up and I'd rather not see it at all - AFAIK there is no way to suppress it permanently, but the default setting can be increased in the registry
I have my setting at 8000
the registry key is 'ImportSize' in Options > Filters [ verified in designer pro X]
changing registry settings is only for those who know what they are doing and who backup first
I have created a webpage using Xara Designer Pro 6 and am trying to import my rotating GIF image. (I have created this image using Xara 3D). When I import this image everything else on the page dissapears. How can I import this correctly?

I am trying to visualize a print candidate (without printing) in real size (e.g. print jpeg to file). For that I think need to define the ppi for my screen, which is nowhere to be seen.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI use Xara sometimes to resize images/photos. Quite often I use the clip view function to crop the image to the precise size I need.
I just recently found that when I export my clipped views, always as pngs, they have a very small 1 to 2 pixel edge around them. I can keep clipping but it continues to stay there. I exported with alpha and without to see if it made a difference but it doesn't.
I am now having to use my raster program to resize but had liked using Xara for it. The raster program works fine and I suppose every program has its uses so I just won't use Xara for photo clipping and exporting anymore. I just think that there shouldn't be an issue since Xara seems to want to handle photos more.
The attached images show extreme closeup of a blue image on a black background (the black background is used for checking this very problem).
I have point (DBPoint) and I want to draw some text in this point by DrawOverrule.It works fine:

But how to draw text in two lines?I can't use MText because it's overruled code (or no?).So it's required to caclulate real font size and move second line to font vert-size.

Is it possible to import real time gps coordinates from Leica CS10 to Autocad? Is it a function in Autocad or will i need a third part software to accomplish that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is a huge problem for me, and it's getting incredibly annoying.
This issue is when I import an image (drag and drop, or other ways as well) into Photoshop and the image appears in a really small size. I need to be extremely percise in all of my projects by the pixel, I can't have it going a single pixel larger or smaller. But when I drag it in, it shows up much smaller and I have to drag the boundries to make it larger. I basically just want to drag a 64x96 image in, and have it actually show up as 64x96, not incredibly smaller.
I don't know the size of a portion on the canvas, because I can't just guess, so it's impossible to actually stretch it to its original size and actually be accurate.
Import .svg file into gimp.. Image size 1024x1024 and smaller produces aliasing.

I create a text box and paste in the info into it. Now I want to resize the box to fit the space available but the handles end up changing the font size. I need the software to change the auto line feeds as the box's size is changed.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to import graphics into XDP X that are the following dimensions (in pixels):
1130.6x592.8
1132.6x445
535.6x317.4
536.2x317.4
When I try to import these graphics (created with XDP X and saved as PNGs), the dimensions of the imports shrink by a lot (example: the graphic with the dimensions of 1132.6x445 shrinks to 500x196). I also have Lock Aspect Ratio turned off. Why is this happening and is there any way to fix this? I'm trying to piece these graphics together and I don't want to mess with the dimensions, if possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUp until this morning I have been able to successfully import .eps files into Xara Pro Designer 6.
This morning, try as I might I am unable to open a new .eps file which has been sent to me.
All 'old' .eps files already on the system can be opened correctly. The artist sending me the files is not doing anything different at their end. I'm not doing anything different at my end.
To add to the confusion ... an .eps sent yesterday opened correctly. Today it does not and displays "Access violation exception at 0.09681E2C". I did 'tidy up' my folders so it's possible I may have messed up the directory for this one.
I've been trying for a white to import an .eps file into Designer Pro 6. It's from .ai CS4. I can import the native .ai file, but not the .eps.All I seem to end up with is a blank page.

Same thing when I try to open.These very same files can be imported (placed) into Indesign. I have checked layers and there is only one (the visible current one which shows a pdf in the layer properties. It just is not visible though.

i have been using xara as my main graphics tool for years, and i enjoy it. however, the person who's cutter i use only knows coreldraw as that is what is preferred with the Roland gx-24 vinyl cutters. i dont want to have to learn coreldraw.
i have loaded my designs as gifs, jpegs and bmps into corel, but even after using the 'trace' feature on corel, all the lines are not perfect like they are in xara. the cutter cuts the lines in a jagged way, and the curves are not smooth. save my xara designs as .cmx or .svg. i did that and tried importing into corel and i got an 'I/O Error', so that didnt work.
the only way i can get the straight cut lines is if i load my fonts into corel, and re-create my design in corel, which i just dont have the time for.
I have a problem delivering a vehicle wrap I designed with XDP 7. The thing is 215" long x 72" height and includes some bitmaps, so it is not 100% vectorial. Now, how do I export that for the printer? They say they need the file 100% scale @ 300 DPI, when some other online dudes say they can do with ~150DPI, to scale the image 1/4, etc.
When I try to export full size, XDP doesnt let me put anything beyond 70 DPI or so, even if I type 300 in the box, it gets rid of the last zero. So....how do I do it????
i am playing with the trial version of DP7 - i have been using Xara for years and i always change the button size to small to get the most out of my screen real estate... since i am working on a laptop, this is actually pretty critical.

Is there a way to set what the default page size when you start XP&GD 2013? It always starts with a page size of A4 which I never use. I have a custom template that I would like to set as the default page size.
