Is it possible to change the default settings of Xara Designer Pro for Units so that whenever a new file is started, it automatically uses the Default Units / Page - Pixels?
Or do I have to change it manually each time?
I know how to go in to my settings and change the default page settings on a new design, but I want my settings to ALWAYS come up with the settings I change them to. How do I set these so that every time I start Xara I don't have to go change the settings AGAIN?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a project where I will have to do a lot of various scaling using Bilinear resampling. Is there a way to make this the default scaling method in PS CS6 (Mac OS).
I keep on forgetting to switch the scaling method, and thus often have to scale the image twice.
Everythime when starting a new project I first go to 'Options' > 'Units' > 'Page units' and set it from 'Inch' to 'Pixels' is there a way to set this as default ?
Note: I'm currently using the old free version Xtreme 5 Silver because lost the paid version after a system format and register code that didn't work anymore, perhaps of newer version there an easy setting for that, on this one I haven't found it yet.
The current default 'stroke' setting on my PS is 3 pixels/Red...how do I change it?
The stroke setting to which I refer is when I double click a layer and want to surround it with a stroke line of color. I have searched everywhere and can't find where to change the default setting.
I am doing image tracing - and when placing it into a recorded action, it only does the default tracing settings. Is there a way to adjust these?

There are other default settings I'd like to change as well, but my question is how do I change those settings to default so that when I open Xara, I don't have to go reset them? This is a PITA! Some of the changes I have to do EVERY TIME:
* Changing the home grid from 10mm to 1000mm;
* Activate angle snapping;
* Zoom out, because I model stuff bigger than 1000mm. Max thinks that I'm going to work with something with 10mm;
* To configure the Render Setup, by changing it to my personal preset;
* Pressing "J" and "F4" in the perspective view.
Another great thing would be having a default scene to work with. Like a bended white plane and pre-configured lights.
I am having trouble in changing the color of the bullets without changing the text color. Problem is I cannot select/highlight just the bullet so any new color selected applies to the whole line including bullet and text. I am using DP v 7.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI need to compress about 1,000 jpg images and I'm using the "save for web" feature in Photoshop 7 but I'm running into problems because my file names are very long and its cutting them off. I found the workaround by editing the output settings and unchecking the "Mac OS" box under "Filename Compatibility".
However, the problem is that the default settings do not stay like this once I hit OK and I end up having to uncheck the Mac OS box for each and every file. Is there a way to permanently change the default settings so I can do batch processing for all my images?

If you go to "Blending Options" in PS and click on "Outer Glow/Inner Glow/Drop Shadow/....etc" You will see that these options have already some colors as default, means Drop shadow has black color as default and inner glow and outer glow has yellow as default.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat I am trying to do is to have a flat vector brush in black that I can change to whatever colour I want later just be selecting the colour from the colour bar while I am working.
So. When I edit the brush I go to the fill Properties tab and select 'Local colours replace - all brush colours' and save. The trouble is that it does not seem to save this setting. When I edit the brush again it reverts to 'local colours replace - named colours' I get the same problem if I 'save as new'.

It won't let me just type in pixels, it just reverts back to inches and won't change the shape. I have done this before but I cannot remember how. An example of what I am trying to say is in the Drawing1 that opens when you start CAD, it does not have a layer called TOPO. I want to have it so that everytime I have a new drawing1 open, it automatically has the TOPO layer in it. I know that you can do this by changing the file it references in the C drive, but I forgot how I did it.
If you can reset the default No of Rows and Columns that are generated.
