I need to use a font that's not one of the currently loaded fonts that VS x3 recognizes. I don't know if the available fonts come with VS x3 or if they are part of Windows, but either way, I need to use a font called "Helvetica Neue LT STD 77." Assuming I acquire the font data, how do I get VS x3 to recognize it?

I have a scenario where i have to load the font(ttf files) into the memory and apply it to all the selected textframe in the active document. So for loading the font i am using 'AddFontResourceEx()' api.
The problem is this, when i used this api it will not load the font at the same time, it will take some time to load the font. But the plugin will try to apply that font to the text frame. Sometimes font will apply somtimes not.Also is there any api through which we can refresh font list?
A consultant sent us their titleblock along with the true type font. I copied the font and pasted it into my AutoCad 2010 fonts folder. I noticed that the title block text style is "standard." When I try to set the font in standard to the true type font, the font does not appear in the list.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and Creative Suite CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS 15.1.0. I'm using Suitcase Fusion 4 ver. 15.0.5 (latest version). I'm having a problem with 2 of my fonts loading correctly in illustrator's Character pallet. They display like a missing fonts in the character pallet as shown in my screen shot with "less than" characters around them: < Carta >, , < ITC Zapf Dingbats > These fonts and files do not give me warnings for missing fonts. The files print and rip correctly. The font displays correctly in illustrator when I use them in a layout (as shown on pic). They also display correctly and are fine in all other applications: Quark, InDesign, Photoshop etc. My fonts are setup correctly, pared down system fonts, other user folders emtpy etc. I have font nuked with Suitcase, Font Nuke and did a safe start up to clear font caches. several times. I've also removed these fonts from suitcase and loaded them in my system folder to see if that fixed it. These fonts are used 1,000's of pages/files so replacing them with another verion isn't really an option.

My setup dialog is very unusual and appearing like a scrollable window (please see attached picture). When I check on the license agreement, the "next" button wont get active. View 4 Replies View Relatedproblem with loading large numbers of images, not large images, but a lot of images in VS11. I am loading a lot of images to make my annual slide show for the HS band and I am running into a problem where the images start loading quickly (1 second each) and after about 150-200 images you start to load slower and slower as much as 70 seconds on image #300). I don't remember having this issue with VS9, which is what I used last year.
I tried loading the same thing in VS10 and it is much better on the load. There is a recognizable slow down, but nothing like VS11. Before you ask, I would be fine with doing the slide show in VS10, but running in Vista VS10 crashes on me too much to get it done.
I did a clean install of VS Ultimate 6 after completely removing VS Ultimate 5 from my system. Boy, do I wish I had not done that!
After installing VS 6 and all of its extras, it starts up fine. But when I load project (VSP) files I had created using VS 5, it starts populating the timeline with clips and then hangs hard. It never comes back … i have let it start loading before bed, and the hourglass is still spinning when I wake up the next morning. Have to forcibly close it.
Not all VSP files will hang VS 6. Just the most important two projects. Periodically, as I'm developing my project (and a separate parallel project), I will create my own work back up by doing a File Save As with a new number at the end of the file name. I am presently working on Act I v14. I have verified that v1 thru v3 work fine, but v4 thru v14 all hang VS 6, as well as Act II v1 thru v8 (which is all of them). These two projects represent hundreds of hours over the last 10 months. If I have to start over, I will kill myself or start drinking again or something.
I would remove it and reinstall VS Ultimate 5, but I am unable to locate installation disk #1. I have my serial number stored away in a CodeWallet database, but the disk is mislaid somewhere in this debris field that is laughingly called my home computer room. So, how I could download, VS Ultimate 5 disc #1,

I bought a full copy of Videostudio Pro X4 about a month ago after experimenting with the trial version for a good while, and it was all running smoothly until I was adding some rain effects to a rather large movie, and it said something along the lines of not enough space to load something, and then all the FX thumbnails disappeared. When i closed the program and tried to reopen it, it said "Error loading from stream" followed by a "Videostudio Pro has encountered an unspecific error and needs to close, please contact Corel Support and include a copy of the Dump file.". And now every time I try to load the program it gives me this error, and thats without loading the actual project that the file had the initial error on. All the files within the folder were captured via VS either as Video or as Stop-Motion so are under the default settings as I havent changed them or converted them atall.
I cant find anything on the knowledge base about this, and neither on these forums. I'm unsure how I send the Dump File, which I have found to Corel? I'm abit confused from the warranty support bit of the page where it says about having a one-off chance to contact them? So obviously I dont want to mess up my one chance so thought I'd check here what to do next!
A re-install of the program seems the logical next step but will I lose my project?
For the last few weeks I have been using the trial version of Pro X4, which I would gladly purchase if not for two recurring problems: (1) The program often shuts down when I am adding subtitles. (2) Sometimes I get the blue screen of death after loading video from my camera.
The subtitle problem is one I have experienced with the old Ulead Video Studio. I have a brand new hard drive with lots of available memory, and I do not have similar problems when using Windows MovieMaker (which I hate to do because VideoStudio is better).
The second problem is more disturbing, because the computer itself shuts down. Again, I have experimented, using Windows MovieMaker to load video, and there is no problem. The crash seems to take place after the video has been loaded, when VideoStudio begins displaying thumbnails of the clips (I load using the "split by scene" feature).
When this happens, I have been getting the "No storage to load BB" message, about which there is a thread somewhere, without a real answer for what "BB" stands for. I have read through this thread, and the suggestion seems to be this has something to do with file size.
Sometimes after I click "okay," my computer monitor goes blue with some an error message that I cannot fully read because it extends off the edges of the screen: something about dumping memory. Some numbers countdown at the bottom of the screen, something about memory dump, but it all disappears before I can read through and make sense of anythingl.
After rebooting, I might also get a message about the file (singular, not plural) being corrupted and therefore not properly saved, but all the clips are there when I look for them.
My hard drive is not short of memory (3/4 empty of 465 GB capacity). I also tried saving directly to my external hard drive (which has 1.5 TB free out of 2 TB capacity). Same problem.
my animation takes around two seconds to load within my browser. Is there a way to display a loading symbol such as spinning circle, that will show the animation is loading, then disappear once it is ready to display?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working on a site which is almost 95% complete. The loading time for the site is approx 7-10 seconds which seems to be slow. I have placed a preloader but that doesn't seem to be coming up while the site is loading.
Is there anyway to speed up the loading time. Like some code that will tell it load specific number of frames first and then load the rest in the background?
I have compressed the images that are being used but cannot compress further as they may lose the quality.I've got the preloader working and now it seems to be showing up while the site is loading. Is there any way to speed up the loading time.
I tried Nexus font (finally) and don't see why people have mentioned it. I don't like it and uninstalled it quickly.Which font manager do you think is better than Font Nav?
View 13 Replies View Relatedon the overview download page on VS pro x3, i see there are a few title packages (and fonts + and styles) i can download , but when I click "now download" it goes back to the normal screen where i can edit videos. other title and fonts i can use after downloading some dont. maybe there in some sort of cache or so because i think to remember that i used to download it once but tried to install a few at the same time and this don't function. and the next start of VS pro x3 a screen pops up with some things(i think the titles) and i don't know what i have clicked.
as there any way to use this title package/font package/style package?
Having learned the drill with VS Pro X3, I went right to the "Do More" tab to download Extra Templates, Font Packs, and Title Packs after completing my new VS Pro X4 installation. Almost all of the "Free" packs downloaded and installed as expected without incident. (The word INSTALLED now appears under each successfully installed pack in the list of downloaded elements which originally showed a button reading DOWNLOAD NOW.)
However, for some unexplained reason, when I click my mouse on the DOWNLOAD NOW button for Font Pack 2, I see a very brief busy icon, followed by no noticeable response from the server. No error message is given.
I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then relaunching the app before attempting to download Font Pack 2. I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then rebooting my PC before relaunching the app and attempting to download Font Pack 2. Neither tactic succeeded.
Noticed that after creating a DVD menu via Videostudio (x6 installed), that when the Main Menu appears on your TV (or preview box in the DVD maker) that the wording you have created has a slight judder as it settles into its place? The same happens when you select to play or leave that menu page, that it always has a slight judder moving off again.
I tried turning off motion menu, but the font seems to always judder slightly out of position on arrival or exit.
I'm using "multiple titles" to add text on my slideshow. The font size is 34 but when i play the video the text is much bigger. The text size is changing depending on the length of the text i'm using... How to keep the text size 34 ? When using "single title" option i can't change the position manualy where to put the title so i think i need too use the "multiple titles" for sure.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently had to reinstall Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 because of some missing/damaged files (long story). Anyway, I downloaded Title Pack 6 so I had some more, well, titles. Afterwards, when I tried to use the new titles, after moving them to the timeline and double clicking to edit the text the problem starts...
1) There is no text box to edit text or the text box is REALLY tiny (so tiny I cant resize it) and tucked away in the top-left corner of the preview box.
2) The font defaults to a ridiculously high setting (~150-200).
3) When I try to type something in, nothing happens.
4) When I click off the text box I get an error message saying "Font Apply Error!".
VSX5 .I click on the text, the size handles show, I right click the text to raise the font attributes box, I change the colour in the box + click OK. What exactly do I have to do next because the text colour has not changed and I cant find out how to do this…
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've created a test video with titles, fade ins, fade outs, etc - and everything looks great in the preview, but I noticed after actually creating the video (H.264 640x480, 4:3), the title fonts get resized (they look compressed/horizontally squished).
Is there any way to freeze or preserve the exact font size(s)/aspect ratio of the title text so that it looks the same regardless of format I save out to later? I've poked around to see if there was a right mouse menu option to "lock aspect ratio" (or set "Auto Resize Title = Off") but to no avail.
If not, would a workaround be to save the text in a jpeg and fade that in/out? ...or will that get resized, as well?
I've a problem with "DWGtoPDF"-Plotter of Acad2013. I give the textstyle "arial" in Acad and plot it to PDF. In the PDF-Sheet i see the Fontname "ArialMT" in the document-options. I want to give the PDF's away and fear, that he gets an error while opening.

Anytime I use it, it converts to this font and each time I need to change a font weight, I must do it manually. As you can imagine, I use our company font all day so this slows me down quite a bit. Have you heard of this? It seems like some sort of font virus. I've researched removing it, yet can't seem to find the original font file to get rid of, which is even weirder."
We tried moving the font family to the trash, emptying the trash, rebooting the machine, and re-adding the font family and it still is happening.
I had posted in another thread about wanting to clean up a signature and make it look more font like. I tried that and it seemed to be pretty difficult due to the amount of random in a hand written signature.
