VideoStudio :: X5 Ultimate Screen Recorder System Audio Not Found?

I'm running VSP X5 Ultimate with SP1 on a Toshiba i7, 8GB RAM and plenty of HD free space. When using the Screen Capture function and, in Settings, switching to system audio, I get a message that no system audio is detected and that I should enable this on my computer. I'm assuming that "system audio" is the feed to the speakers (both of which are working perfectly) and I've been over everything in both Control Panel>Sound and Control Panel>Realtek (not much there) and can find nothing which would "enable system audio". I've never been able to record with the system audio. I searched the VSP forum with multiple iterations of the problem with no luck.
How can I get system audio working in the screen capture?

I am an experienced user of X4 who needs to upgrade due to needing screen capture features. X5 download trial Install went fine, X5 works well on everything so far except the feature I need. I have disabled UAC, Run all programs as an admin. My system, while old, is capable enough. I use Win 7 64.
When using screen capture it will not capture system audio. I tested the mic and audio while in screen capture "settings" and while the mic works and records, X5 throws a "system audio not found" prompt when clicking on the system audio check. Again, microphone works fine.
Outside of X5, I checked and tested sys audio and it is working. In fact I tried a screen capture with Fraps and it records game audio and voice fine. In fact, while using the screen capture setting I can hear both the mic and voice perfectly.

In Video Studio 5 Ultimate, I am trying to use Screen Capture on an application that plays music and has a window with an animation showing the chord progression as it plays. When I try to capture it using Voice as the Audio Settings, it works but the sound is low quality. I assume the reason is that it is recording the microphone listening to the speakers. If I use System Audio as the Audio Settings, then there is no sound in the captured video. I have verified this using Windows Media Player on the clip as well as in Video Studio 5. The sound _is_ coming out of the speakers, and the video part is OK. There _is_ a stereo sound track in the .wmv file that is created, but it is silent.
I get the same result trying to capture Windows Media Player playing a video clip that has sound. It captures the window and the video successfully, but there is no sound. On the other hand, I am able to capture the sound using other programs, such as Freecorder. Thus there is likely nothing wrong with my setup or drivers (and it can be done).
This is on Windows 7, 64-bit. I do not get any message saying System Audio is not available, as I have seen in other posts.

I make gaming Youtube videos, and recently bought a new computer and needed a new recording software. So I started looking into Video Studio. I am currently using the trial, but will really soon get the full version. So I was gonna record and noticed you can change what audio will be recorded. Cool! So I enabled both of them, but it doesn't work. If I enable System Audio, microphone audio will be disabled, and vice-versa.
Is there any way I can record my game AND my voice without recording the my voice afterwards (I wanna record it live)? I quickly tried to record two video at the same time, each recording having a different audio, but it just recorded one. I don't wanna have to buy $37 Fraps or some other "just-for-recording" software.

In any case, when I try to enable System Audio in the screen capture setup, I get an error message saying that it can't find any system audio.
System audio is working fine on my system, and neither Camtasia, CamStudio nor two other screen capture applications that I use have any problem with this whatsoever.

Recently I purchased, got the path to download, and my serial number of VS Pro X4-ultimate.
Before that I had been experiencing with a trial VS Pro X4, and got enthused to upgrade to Ultimate
The download was OK, but during my attempts to install, I got the following message in a pop-up window with the title:
Corel Video Studio Pro X4 Ultimate

NEW: Instead of the error mentioned above, sometimes I receive the following error message: La ruta de archivo de idioma no se pudo encontrar, el programa de instalación no puede continuar Translattion: The path to the language file cannot be found, installation program cannot continue
Just for testing purposes, I tried to install the program on an older notebook with XP Pro service pack 2, and there No Problem, everything went OK, the program installed.
This was to test, I will only use (and hope to do so) the program on my main PC, and delete it from the notebook.
Additional question: Can it be that my windows XP pro, SP 3 installation is corrupt or partially failing for installing this program?
I am using Windows XP Pro - with ServicePack 3, Spanish.

I have been playing around with the screen capture fature of X5 Pro Ultimate and I am having problems.
When I set the capture to custom and then drag the frame/window or whatever you call it around the section I want to capture it always captures too high and then cuts off bottom. If I capture in full screen is there a crop feature?
The things I want to capture have a window within the full page and I am trying to capture just the window, ie. a Youtube or any other web based video. the dragghing custom isn't working and I see not crop option.

When a separate-system sound is used, how can it audio be synchronized with audio that is recorded on-camera? Is there a tutorial, procedure or technique to easily synchronize audio tracks from audio recorder into a video that already has audio?

Now starting to use X5 and found that the "Screen Capture", which is so handy, has audio problem when I capture a person speaking, such as an instructional video. It says it won't record audio if you have Windows XP. So I improvised by using my mic, holding it close to my speaker. Only, the recorded speaking is out of sync with the captured persons lips moving. Regarding this, may I recommend and hope that Corel will do what Pinnacle has done long ago for syncing sound with video... when it's not in sync as in Screen Capture. True, In Corel's Pro X5 I can split audio from video, which sends it to the narration track, which is NOT always available. But in Pinnacle, in their video track on the timeline, I was able to lock the "audio wave form" in the video track, as well as lock and unlock the video track separately. So I was able to unlock the audio in the video track and move only the audio, left or right, until it synced with the video. It made things so much more easy then trying this when the video audio is in the narration track.

My version is VideoStudio X6. Since the update to Windows 8.1 I have been having this error message every time I tried to record the screen. The message shows "An error occurred on your audio device." and it can't record. The drives're up-to-date, I've checked on the devices they all work fine. I need to record system sounds, however I tried to switch to another device but the error kept appearing. I also wondered if there's an error why would the app not showing the detail of the error but just describe it as "an error" because it's so vague it can be anything.

I just wondered if there's a way to get Video Studio 11.5 to capture video from your PC screen?
I ask because I've been trying to find a free program to do this (not having any money for stuff like Camtasia) when I remembered that I had Ulead Video Studio 11.5 - and I hoped that could do this instead.
Can it? If it can, can it also record audio at the same time? (I have a headset with Microphone)

I'm having major problem with trying to record a screen capture. It's my first time trying corel videostudio. When I click record screen capture region the program minimizes but nothing else pops up and there is no frame on my monitor region. I've tried every compatibility mode, and it does the exact same thing. no recorder bar pops up.

I often get the following message: 'Font not found on the system; missing font has been substituted' when I open a file. This is a particular problem for symbol font as, e.g., a beta would be substituted by a b. I thought that fonts or subsets of fonts were automatically embedded when the file is saved (this is what seems to happen in CS5 and CS6 when you save in ai format).

I have completed a slide show and added 3 songs. The songs are showing up on the audio bar at the bottom, but when I do full-screen preview there is no audio. My speakers are working fine, i'm able to play songs from other programs. I am working in PS Elements 9 on Windows 7.
And another question, if i want to burn the slide show onto a DVD - what type should I buy?

I have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.

If there are any 3D plugins that will work on Pro x6 Ultimate . I've had a look at the VIDEO COPILOT | Element 3D - 3D Object based Particle Plug-in. It lists a lot of programs it will work with but not Corel.

I recently purchased the x5 ultimate pro edition, but a few years ago i had an older version but i noticed something....
the older version used to have close to 40 transitions, but the new one even with the extra download pack still only 3 transitions.. did something not get installed?

I'm having a real problem with VS X4 pro crashing!Ive just started a project I have a video in the toptrack..I've used a instant project the one selected in yellow all seems fine! I move the text from the instant project & select a Title text effect
Preview it all is well! Now change the text from LOREM to Dublin IPSUM to 2012..Change other text & 9 time out of 10 VS4 crashes when i preview the Project.If i don't use the Title text effect it seems fine!I just reinstalled my OS (windows 7 64bit) it will be somthing Ive missed but ???
How long Corel take to send out disc? Im waiting for a VS5 Pro ultimate? i bought VS4 a couple of weeks before they released VS5 & Corel done a deal!

Since downloading the new version I have ran across a display issue. When editing, all of the popup display boxes are too large and extend under my taskbar. I have tried everything such as changing the monitor's screen resolution to nearing every setting. And I have searched and attempted to come up with a fix from with in the preferences, UI layout, etc.

I have prepared a folder using AVCHD for BLU RAY Disc( that is I am not trying to burn Blue Ray from timeline). When I go in share-create disc-pick blue-ray, the program aborts with message 'Program will abort Contact technical support'. No details on error
The file size is less than 6 GB
I am using WIN 8 have 16 GB of ram, Have Blue Ray burner and Quad Core CPU. I have checked and Burner's firmware is up to date Same for Videostudio 15. It has all the updates and patches installed.

I've tried installing the purchased downloaded version of the software to two different Windows 7 64 machines and installation just stops on the first screen. "Next" never becomes active. Corel told me to delete my temp files and I've done that, to no avail. I had the same thing happen with the trial version and just figured that they would have fixed the for sale version.
Is there a cleaning or prep patch for this one?

I am running Vid Studio Pro X4 and am 3 months into a year long project. I was interested in upgrading to Vid Studio X6 Ultimate but wanted to know if X6 will be able to read and properly load the .vsp file for this project which already has many clips, transitions, effects, and audio. Or, should I just stay with X4 until December when my project is finished and then upgrade starting next year's project fresh.

I've been a Corel Video Studio user for almost 10 years and never ran into this issue. When creating a disc (DVD or Blu Ray), I get an error message while the program is "converting the menues" for burning to blank disc. The message reads "convert step got some problems (257.0.0)". Figuring that something got corrupted, I closed the program and rebooted the computer. I then again set up the menues I wanted to use only to get the same error message. I then decided to burn a previous project that I knew to be successful and it burned properly. I then decided to create a new project using the same video files and menus that previously failed. That too proved to be unsuccessful. I went to Corel's website but there was no info available covering my error message.

A project I'm working on needs Speech Bubbles with text in them. I Couldn't find this option anywhere.So I started creating the bubbles in PSP x4 and overlaying them in.This works but its a pain when you need 100 of them.Is there an easier way builtin to VideoStudio X4 Ultimate that I can use.

I just grabbed the upgrade to Ultimate (already had VSX4) because the product page said "Advanced video stabilization and image enhancement - Fix even the shakiest video with proDAD Mercalli SE—rock-steady video stabilization, rolling-shutter correction and zoom/pan optimization. You can also adjust color, white balance, tone, exposure and more with multicore processor-accelerated color correction, Advanced DeNoise, Auto Exposure and Lensflare filters." and I need some of these features.
Now that I installed it, I need to find where they hide everything.
I found the Mercalli filter for the "shake, rattle and roll" stuff but I haven't found the "Auto Exposure" stuff and I need to turn down the exposure of this video I am working on (lots of light flares). From the above description/paragraph, I would have though the exposure stuff was under Mercalli, but I haven't found it.

how proDad wasn't visible. Looking through the X5 install folders, I see a bunch of New Blue filters not visible either. The attached image shows the filters in the vft_plug folder, that aren't available within the program.
