VideoStudio :: QuickTime Movies (MOV) White Picture With Audio
Jun 29, 2011When I use Quick time movies, my movies (.MOV) are white, I have audio but all I get is a white picture.

View 11 RepliesIn CS5 I would always save my in-progress .gifs as Quicktime Movies. Since upgrading, I have not been able to open any of these QuickTime files, and I also cannot open .mp4 files that I created in Photoshop CS6. I don't have any plugins installed, if I should.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter I transfer iPhone 4 videos (Quicktkime .MOV) to my computer, I can load them into the Corel Library without a problem, but if I try to play one of the clips, I get fine audio but with a black picture. If I drag one of the videos into the project and then play the project, I get video, but it is choppy. These .MOV videos play fine in other programs that I play them on.
View 5 Replies View RelatedEvery Quicktime I import and cache into my project won't play audio, even though the audio tracks show up in the timeline with waveforms and the seqeunce specs match that of the source audio. Apparently Flame users are having similar problems. I'm having to strip out the audio into AIF for separate import and re-sync.
Oddly enough, I can hear the audio prior to import when playing the preview clip in Media Hub.
I recently purchased the VX3/PSX3 bundle. So far we love the flexibility and ease of creating a project. We do a lot of transferring, such as 8mm and VHS for family and friends. Our most recent project included five 20 minute reels of 8mm film. The finished project with menus and credits was just about 1 hour 58 minutes with a size of 6.6GB.
We have a a Blu-Ray burner as well as a DL DVD burner so that size should be fine since we were going to just make a DL DVD. I then went to the SHARE tab and selected the "Create a movie" link. I chose the mpg option just out of familiarity. All went well until I noticed that it broke my project into 2 seperate movies (movie.mpg and movie001.mpg). The first was a bit larger than the second, but almost equal in time. I thought maybe I did something wrong and reran it. The second try yielded basically the same result...two movie files, but this time the second was only 9 minutes long while the first was 1 hour 48 mins. I do not want the extra links on the DVD Menu. The cousin that this is going to is NOT very electronics savvy and the extra buttons on the menu may cause a complete mental breakdown. How I can keep this 6.6GB project as one complete file for DVD authoring? I can forward along file info if need be when I get home.
I want to try a newer version of VS with a Canopus capture device. I want to convert some old VHS movies to DVD. Can this be accomplished with any of the newer VS versions, 11 up to 15? Also, will they work with Vista 32 bit?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased VideoStudio Pro X4. I have been making movies just fine, but now I am wanting to try some new things such as effects. Here are some things I would like to try, but I am not sure if VideoStudio has this capability:
1. Add explosions to movies.
2. Also other effects like lightning coming from fingertips.
3. I have seen in other video clips where people have added a mouth to various inanimate objects such as a wall or fruit or whatever. The object would remain still while the mouth spoke. I am not sure if this is clear or not.
I noticed that some have used Adobe After Effects. Is this what is needed? It seems kind of expensive.
I have a created a video using my Sony XE105 handycam in HD and edited it successfully using X2.
I can then export it to WMV format and view the file in superb quality in windows media player. However, when I try to export into FLV format, I get the message about converting and it sits at 0%. I have left it for over a half hour without any movement before deeming it as having "hung" and trying again.
I'd really like to export movies in FLV format rather than WMV?
I have done all the updates etc that Corel has suggested and I still cannot make a 3D movie. I do all the steps to make it and when I play it back the audio is there but there is either a white or black screen.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have VisualStudio Pro X5.I would like to create a DVD that will have 3 movies (Titles). I would like to a have Play All button on the menu page so that when selected the 3 movies will play in sequence without returning to the menu after playing a movie. In addition I would also be able to select each each movie individually from the menu. Control would return to the menu after playing the movie.

Background: Took a bunch of ancient 8mm movies to a store and had them put on a CD. They came back in sets of .bup, .ifo, and .vob files. VideoStudio Pro X6 inducted them as .mpg files. VS was recently bought in a box; allowed update after installation. How to check the version.
In the past I created a movie and put it onto a DVD. It was created with another software program called NCH VideoPad, if I recall. It worked fine. I loved the DVD's special effects and various other screen choices from its main menu. It has numerous effects on the initial title screen, and included 3 links at the bottom which allowed users to select different scenes, and more.
Is there someway that VS X5 PRO can do the same thing, but within the video, and not by creating a DVD? I know that description is rather vague, but since I can't show you the DVD movie, I don't know how else to say it.
I wish there was some way to have VS import the DVD movie I created, so that I could use it and modify it.
I have been using VS11But, I have just bought a new camera, a Panasonic HC V500. A small section of the info on the camera are the following lines:- 2D-to-3D Conversion. The camera processing engine automatically converts your 2D footage to 3D without the need for the optional 3D lens, to then be able to view on your 3D TV for an enhanced viewing experience.
Progressive Video Format for Smooth Action. The Full HD format employed in this model uses 1080/50p (AVCHD Progressive compliant) imaging. The Progressive format carries roughly double the image information of a 1080i interlace signal, minimising flickering and after-images.
As I edit and convert all my video footage into movies, will the latest VS programme retain the 3D conversion ability/facility, if so, what is the latest (or best) VS edition to purchase.
So to share an iphone 4s video, what are the best output settings, to retain the .mov settings, so that there is the least amount of re-encoding, which presumably will be the fastest?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm editing my home dvds that i have imported to my hard drive, now using VideoStudio x4 to crop them into the right clips and adding text,
So far ive managed after some reading to set the in and out points, drag it to the time line, then add text... I had a bit of trouble finding out how to save it, but i think im right in clicking "3 share" and then "create video file" to save the clip ?
Once ive done this what is the best format to save the clip as? baring in mind once i have all my clips cropped with text at the beginning, im hoping to burn them all to a DVD, and add menus... Is the menus also something that can be done on Video studio?
Some of the movies I've been creating play OK in Windows Media Player but when you try and skip to a later part of the movie by holding and moving the toggle bar there is a 'Windows Media Player has a problem playing the movie' error. All the videos are the correct length and file size. Is there a problem with the files and would it affect how they play on Vimeo? Do I need to do them again? What can I do differently?
I have been creating movies with the following properties:
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1280 x 720, 25 fps
Frame-based
H.264 Main Profile Video: 5000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps
The source files are:
PAL (25 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 16:9, 25 fps
Lower Field First
Matrox DV/DVCAM -- type 2
PCM, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
I'm using Video Studio Pro X5 trial version.
I have captured some screenshots for use in a video. In VideoStudio, when the video is paused, the text looks crisp and is easily read. When the video is playing, the text becomes blurry and very hard to read. I have taken the snapshots using the PrintScreen key and pasted the image into Excel where I trimmed them and then used an Add-in called GraphicsExporter to save the images. I have tried saving them as gif, jpg, png, and tiff images and the results are the same. I pull the image into VideoStudio and have it on screen while I narrate. Everything looks great when the image is in the viewing window but when I hit the play button it becomes blurry and some images are unreadable.
Is there something obvious that I am doing wrong? Maybe not using standard cropping margins or some other mechanical practice that I can change?
I got a new laptop and loaded VS x4 on it. I have a complex edit that I started on my big desktop, where everything worked fine. I have a mix of AVCHD and MOV (1080i QuickTime) files, and they work together with no problem on the desktop computer.
However, the new laptop simply can't "see" the QuickTime files. I can't load them into the Library, so I can't re-link them in my project. I updated my version of VS x4 to SP2 on this computer, and still no go with the MOV files. How do I get VS to recognize the MOV files?
Edit: I can play the MOV files on the computer and I loaded the latest version of QuickTime. But VideoStudio still doesn't recognize QuickTime (MOV) files. MOV is not a selection in the drop-down list when I choose formats of videos to load into the Library.
Having issues with my VSX5. I keep getting a message error that says to install quick Time before it will load my .mov files.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried to compile videos in Quick time format at 800 x 600, 65% quality, using MPEG4 compression and each time it compiles at a much lower resolution than it should be, I used the Indeo compression for AVI and THAT compiles to my liking at 800 x 600, 65% quality, DivX is only free for 15 days, Xvid and Windows Encoder makes no difference (that can be noticed), Quicktime, DirectX and Windows Media Player is up to date.
I'll try compiling it using a compressor other than MPEG-4, but I'm not too hopeful of improvement, why it can compile AVI, but not Quicktime, I tried batch converting AVI to Quicktime, it still doesn't work.
How to render HD 1920 x 1080 video clips into the .mov, 1080p format required by my stock agency. I've gone into Share>Create Video File>Custom>Quicktime Movie Files>Options>General... but I am unable to find a 1920 x 1080 option. 800x600 is the highest setting with the default being 720x480. I'm using VS Pro X4 and also tried X2.
Original clip info for one camera: Type H.264, 24 bits, 1920x1080p, 16:9, 59.94fps Vari. bit rate 26,000
Any recommendation for a quicktime .mov compression setting that results in good quality and a manageable file size?

I'm doing a video and the client requested the final product as a quicktime file. I've had good results with creating .wmv files but haven't had much luck with .mp4 or .mov files. Using the "custom" option under "create video file" I select "Quicktime Movie Files" as the type. Every compression option I choose comes out crappy and a very small file size. When I select "no compression" the video looks great, but it's almost 2 gigs (the video is only about a minute long). The client will be uploading this video to a product page on Amazon and I think they have a maximum file size, probably around 500 MB.
I hope to convince the client to just accept a .wmv or maybe even a .flv file instead since I think Amazon accepts both of those. But in an effort to give them what they want, I hope to deliver in a .mov format.
I have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.
I use Corel PaintShop X3 for my photo’s so logic says if I want to edit videos I need VideoStudio X4!
I have HD video taken on a Canon G12 camera which is a MOV file. When played on my Windows computer it opens in QuickTime.
My question is will Videostudio X4 upload the MOV files OK for editing and can I convert to play on QuickTime or Windows WMP?
I never had a problem exporting my projects as Quicktime MOV files until a few months ago. Now it seems when I create a QT file they come out blurry/ fuzzy/unusable. I have uninstalled/reinstalled VSPX3 and QT (and have tried to do it on several computers) but nothing has worked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay so I'm trying to take the white background off of a picture using the select a color on white, but it takes out a lot or the fur and eyes(it's a picture of a cartoon cat) How can I remove the areas of can from the selection without removing the pieces of cat too.
It's creative commons, so I guess I can post screen shots...
The cat is from [URL]...
A general idea of the selected area
What happens when I take out the selected area
So how can I take the pieces of the cat out of the selected area so when I try to delete the background I don't get an invisible cat?
I have a photo in large size and high resolution. However after I apply the Picture-In-Picture effect in Video Studio ProX5, it became very blurry. Already check all the Attribute settings and there is nothing wrong with the setting.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI used to use MediaStudio Pro to create picture in picture especially where the picture starts small and grows to cover the entire background video clip.
I looked for and found a video filter which I thought would allow me to do the same. However after viewing the 'help' for the filter and trying just about everything I could think of I cannot achieve what I want to do if start with a video clip and then have another video clip appear (very small) in one area of the background video and then slowly grow larger to eventually cover the background video clip.
I can make the picture in picture appear and grow larger but it covers the entire background video clip with black effectively covering it no matter what size my picture in picture is. I looked for a chroma key to cover the black out but could not find it.
I often encounter the low motion frequency when playing back "Picture in Picture" scene (which I mean the pictures aren't moving smoothly whenever using that feature) after I render my video into various formats, such as WMV HD PAL. Is there any way to increase its smoothness?
Am using VS Pro X5, Service pack 1
I made several good videos with a JPEG or PSD photo as the media and an audio file as the audio. This worked fine but recently all I get on the video is the audio without the picture. I have tried it on two different downloads of CS6 on different computers and it no longer works.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the FX picture-in-picture effect, but can't make it work. I see the inserted picture but not the background, the background is black!
I must say that the instructions are not very clear. It says: "Place the Picture-In-Picture effect on the clip that should be inserted in the background and place the background track behind it." ?
How do I place the background behind the clip afterwards? That's not possible.
