View 2 RepliesWits end with VS X3 and X4.
I shoot with a Zi8 in 720p mode. I import the file (MOV) and work on it in VSP X4 - no problem. I see the preview window in full widescreen (no black bars). I have tried every possible option to get an FLV file out of X4 without the black bars and it's no use.
Here is a screen shot of my X4 preview, side-by-side with what I see on the web. [URL]
I also get the black bars when I view the FLV file on my desktop using Wimpy FLV player: [URL]
Using VideoStudio X3. I import a MPEG2 file with res 720x480. Problem is the actual size of the video is 640x480 and the rest is two black bars on the sides. This is the way the source produces the files and I have no control over that. I want to export the project in 640x480, but no matter what I do I end up with keeping the black bars and distorting the image. Tried using the crop effect with no success.
The only workaround I have found is using another program - Magix or Pinnacle - to import the file and save it. In the preview window both Pinnacle and Magix display just the actual video (640x480), although the source file is 720x480. Corel for some reason keeps the black bars.
So how do I do the same using VideoStudio? I hate using 2 separate programs, my PC is too slow anyway and importing and converting long video files takes about a day.
File name appears at bottom of video ?
I new to VS X5 Pro. I have a very basic question, I'm sure.... Is it possible to not have the computer file name of the video appear at the bottom of the video for the first few seconds? It does fade away but is not acceptable to be there at all. Is this a Windows 7 config issue or something in VS?
I'm the happy owner of the new Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 program. I've resently put together my first video, but then an error occured.
In the preview window i noticed that every time a new clip is being played, the program adds a top line and bottom line, often displaying something from the previous clip in the timeline. I thought this was not a big deal, but then after saving my video as a finish .avi file, the problem was not solved..
On following webpage, there's a screen picture of my problem: [URL] ...
The clips are recorded with a 4:3 ratio and 720p, 60 frames/s. When i played the finish created file, i tried in Windows Media Player and in VLC.
I downloaded a video and at the bottom is a crawler(bar at the bottom that shows sports scores). I want to crop this off-is there a way to perform this function? I saw the cropping FAQ but couldn't find how to crop the bottom. I am using VS X2.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen dragging a clip into a project and for some reason half way through the clip, the video goes black but the audio continues?? It's happened a few times for me when the clip is particularly large eg High Def, 4gb, 25mins long (AVCHD). It makes editing impossible because my VSP x3 crashes when I try to play that clip. When I click the edit bar to the good part of the clip, I get the usual "still picture" at that point, but in the faulty segment, I still get a black preview screen for the "still".
Splitting the clip doesn't work so I'm presuming there's a proxy file problem. Anti-virus was switched off and I allowed sufficient time for the clip to move into the project. A real nuisance when trying to preview & edit.
I want to place text in the bottom right of a series of images. The problem is not all images are the same size. Some are verticle and some are horizontal and even those arent all the same size. However, 99% are 768 high. How do I specify a certain margin from right and bottom so I can use the text action on all images regardless of image width?
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhat setting, the end mp4 video will always have black vertical margins. I never have this problem when generating videos with Quicktime using the same source.
The source dimension is 4256x2832, and specifying this as output size will also create the bars.
When I place an image it seams to always place it in black and whit. I have uninstalled and it is still doing the same. When I open the same image in a new doc its fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am making a business card in Illustrator 6.
I placed an image of my black signature with transparent background on the white background business card, and now it is leaving a box were that signature image canvas ends. This happens with both a .psd and .pnd files.
Now if I could just go into photoshop and extend the canvas and leave the image the same size that would be great. When I try to do this though there is still the old canvas boundary line.
If I was able to start all over I would have had the original canvas size way wider than the image of my signature that I drew on it. That way it's boundaries would now be outside of my business cards boundries and I would not be seeing those black boundary lines.
I'm using Adobe Premiere pro and I am doing a video for my work. I am trying to place a ticker on the bottom of the video that will be scrolling as the video plays but I can only do a small amount at a time. Is there a way to do one continous ticker that will play instead of having to type one part and then a seperate one and trying to match the same speed so they don't overlap?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWe export our renders to be used in a GUI and for some reason the bottom of our renders since last week (to be fair we only have one user who exports - so only one user has this problem) have a solid black line on the bottom. Now this wouldn't be a horrible problem except we have to set a transparency color in our control software and since the background is not uniform it is VERY obvious when in our final software package. We also have to maintain a constant resolution or the control systems (what we use the renders in) will distort and be way off.
Here is a sample: [URL]....
This happens in both 2013 and 2012. Perhaps there are some lightning/render settings I can try changing on this users machine?
1. i want to make the bottom of an image fade to black gradually. like a spotlight all around it.
2. i want to know how to make a gradiented grey backround, starting black. ending gray.
how to make a circle split in half with the top half black and the bottom white. I've made a circle with a 37 pt black stroke, now I just need to make half of it white.

I need to place a clip in the middle of a project that is done. Can I click ripple editing then place the clip in the middle and have all of the title track move with the clips that will be sliding to the end? Thought I would ask before moving things around.
Or can I put the clip in where it has to be, then hit ripple editing and slide all the title track where they should be all at once? I have not done to much with ripple editing, guess it is a good way to start.
I recently purchased Video Studio Pro X3 - and after going through the knowledge base and product read me, I have been unable to find an answer to the following problem I have:
PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
I have a LIVE show recorded and I want to add Video Filters in various places within a single 4 minute video. Do I need to cut up my video to segments to add filters too or can I apply them to different spots in a single video?

How would you arrange them?
I'm using Elements 8 on my Win 8 laptop. And recently I always get a black border around the videos. I don't know what settings I should change to get rid of this but I looked everywhere.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever we try to import video clips they show up as all black. The length of the video is there, so it might be 15 minutes of black. But no matter what video (Sony, Red, etc.) it's all the same.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make a texture for a model in a video game, and I want some of it to be transparent. This is done by editing a text file that tells the model to use the textures alpha channel. things in the alpha channel that are white are transparent and things that are black aren't.
But I don't really know how to edit the textures alpha. Here is a video I've seen that explains how to make one in photoshop: [URL]......

I get a black capture screen when capturing with CS6 on a Windows 7 machine. I'm capturing through Fire wire from DV tape, via the VCR function of a Canon XL2 camera. I have tried restarting, etc.; also toggled the "preview video" radio from the Settings button in the capture Window. Nothing works and I need to be able to preview my video as I'm capturing. It is not good enough that the video actually captures fine. Also, I am forced to turn off Device Control in order to capture because it kicks me out of every capture (an immediate message of : "no frames captured") unless I do.
