View 9 Replies View RelatedI am making a business card in Illustrator 6.
I placed an image of my black signature with transparent background on the white background business card, and now it is leaving a box were that signature image canvas ends. This happens with both a .psd and .pnd files.
Now if I could just go into photoshop and extend the canvas and leave the image the same size that would be great. When I try to do this though there is still the old canvas boundary line.
If I was able to start all over I would have had the original canvas size way wider than the image of my signature that I drew on it. That way it's boundaries would now be outside of my business cards boundries and I would not be seeing those black boundary lines.
Can cut out a image? I want this image cut, out so I can, get a different background, i want the person separate, from the background .

I seem to be having problems when I lasso round a specific part of a photo taken with a white background and then try to add that part of the image to a plain #000000 black background.
I always seem to get a white outline around the image when I place it on the black background, even when its on ZERO feathered. I don't like using feathered as it adds a smudge round the outside of the image.
I was refererred by a member who speaks highly of the support here in this forum. One of the things i need to learn is how to go about cutting an image, like a car and laying it on a background. I figured out how to outline the image but creating a background and actually inserting the cutout escapes me. I work for a classic car dealership and i take the photos for the ads. I need to be able to create a nice background that i can insert every auto into, in exactly the same place.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded an eps file, which I need to cut. I use a graphtec ce5000-60 cutter, and a plugin called cutting master 2 in order to use coreldraw.
when i select application launcher and choose cut / plot, it opens cutting master. when i do this, it only shows the 2 outer lines of the logo i need to cut. I have attached a screenshot so you can see exactly what I mean. I have tried lots of things to recitfy this, but as a complete beginner with this software, I really dont have a clue.
I have an image that is semi-transparent. I am able to take the black out of the background around it, but am unsure about how to remove the actual background from behind the image. I need to superimpose this image onto another-hence the background change. I have the newest version of PS.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro from Windows 7 and I have noticed some graphic glitches in CS6. The background flickering, the image becoming black, etc. After a bit a searching I found some others who were also having the issue. (Here and Here). I have also read the blog post by Jeffrey Tranberry recommending switching to Basic Drawing Mode which does solve the issue, however, by switching to Basic Drawing Mode what am I losing in functionality?
When looking through the PS Preferences I also noticed something interesting. Look at this screenshot: Notice the VRAM? 209310MB! This is one fast video card! Obviously this number is complete incorrect and I wonder if it is tied to the issue above?
Here are my PC Specs: CPU: AMD FX 4100 Quad Core 3.6 Ghz 64bit OS: Windows 8 Pro (Release version - upgraded from Windows 7) RAM: 8GB Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6670 Video Driver: Catalyst 12.10 (Windows 8 compatible driver) Is this a PS issue or an issue within the video card driver and Windows 8? I have not seen other errors in Windows with other programs. (Granted other programs are not using the GPU like PS does.)
I would like to insert the group of faces below into a larger image with a black background. I would like to give the impression that they are underwater and we are looking down on them through the water. (Imagine a setting where we are standing beside a stream and looking down into the stream, where we see the faces.) I find several tutorials for creating underwater scenes in which the camera position is underwater, but none in which the camera position is above and looking down into the water.
CS5 on a Mac.
How can you separate the white background from the black text from a scand image?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI need to produce images of the garments, lets say a shirt, that is placed on a manequin/dummy, then the image is altered in Photoshop to remove the background and the manequin/dummy.
I understand I can use the Magic Wand task to do this.
What is the most efficient way of automating this process as I will have an initial upload of 300 images/products and I really dont want to have to do them all manually.
Any way to put the black bars on top and bottom of a video like in the movies. I am using corel videostudio X4 on a windows pc running windows 7.
View 2 Replies View Relatedcutting out pictures from their background. I now how to do it, but is there any trick on especially difficult situations like a dark haired girl with hair in motion on a white background, when i want ot cut it out and use it on red background.....
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have attached two images of a young girl. One image (the original) is the one with the busy background. The second image is the one that I have cut out. Now with the pattern I have inserted behind her, the image seems quite acceptable, but if it as a plain white background, there is still some areas around the hair strands that contain the bluish background. Also to get to the stage of my image, I had to delete some of the whispy hair strands to make it look acceptable.
My question is, do you think it is possible to cut this out any better. This was done using the Color mapping method, but I have tried a number of other methods, but cannot seem to keep the hair strands visible and still end up with some color contamination around them. Do you think you could try this image and see if it could be done better.
Any method in GIMP that can be used for cutting out flowing "Blonde" hair from a Multicoloured background using the "Channels". It seems that it can be done using Photoshop, but there do not seem to be any tutorials around for GIMP. There are heaps for cutting out dark coloured hair from all sorts of backgrounds but nothing to cut out flowing blonde hair from a multicoloured background.

New Layer
Move Marquee box to desired position
Stroke again

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a client who has asked me to include her company logo, along with text, on a digital photograph which i then will have printed. writing text on a photo in photoshop is simple enough, but i don't know how to drop the logo (i've been sent two copies, jpg and tif) onto the photo.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat do I do? Everytime I am working in Photoshop my screen flashes black, and the entire image goes black.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am making a video in Nero Vision 10 and need to cut out the screen of a tv so that I can layer the TV over an image/video so it looks as though it is on the screen. I enclose a screenshot of the project. 'Transform-tools-crop' only cuts in straight lines so I wonder which device I should use which can cut out an odd bespoke shape? You can see in the uploaded image from the project how the image currently cannot fill the frame without covering it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have read somewhere that i should use the regular lasso to cut images, but that is a a lot of work if i have an big image.
So i was thinking if someone have any tip or in another way , maybe someone wanna cut the image out for me i am a bit shaky on my hand when i use the lasso-tool so its hard to get it good even if i zoom, and besides that ,is the cut-job ,well its important,
but its a thing that i wanna get over as soon as possible so i can start being creative ill post the image i will work with (its only the shape i want) it will be bigger in reality but i had to take a smaller pic of it to get it posted :
I raise chinchillas and would like to cut out some images and just change the background on others. I'm new to photoshop other than playing with curves and stuff to make them nicer photography.
