View 18 RepliesI am making an adjustment to my "LOGO" for business. I am trying to recolor the bottom half of a circle, that has a thick border, split in half by TWO colors.
When I enlarge picture to 2400%< i see all kinds of "shades" of colors that line be more "Definitive" ..I am guessing?
When i try changing the color fron a "TAN" color to a "DARK RED" , then Zoom out, the lines are VERY CHOPPY and "SQUARED".
QUESTION:
Is there a way to create a PERFECT LINES on a circle, by using a specific tool, or i have to do a lot guessing and do "FILL-IN" colors to get the line more definitive?

I am desperately looking for the function in Coreldraw that allows me to cut one object based on the intersection of another object. Essentially I am looking for the "Trim" function that exists in Autocad.
Example... draw a circle...then draw a line that crosses the center of the circle. I want to be able to remove the bottom half of the circle below the intersection line.
draw and long narrow ellipse...then draw a circle on top of the ellipse I want to remove the ends of the ellipse outside circle..In autocad this takes exactly 3 keystrokes and less than 2 seconds...I have tried everything in Coreldraw and cannot find away to make this happen...

View 9 Replies View RelatedAlright, with out pictures, let me try to explain what I'm trying to do I'm trying to create a black and white (grayscale) top-down gradient of half a cone.
I select a circle, and using the cone gradient, start from the middle and go outward to the edges. Great so far, I have a top-down cone, but what I really need is only half of that, as if I was creating a top-down volcano with the top half sliced off and a flat rounded middle.
This is becoming a bump-map so the RGB value must match perfectly the highest point of the gradient with the sliced off part.
I have a circle that I added text to and it goes from left to right works fine.
The issue is adding text to the bottom to the circle. I have an Illustrator book but this is not covered.
I'm new to After Effects and am looking for a spefic effect for a video I am making.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAccording to the tool pallet instructions, I should be able to draw a circle of specific diameter by typing in the "width" dimension, then, according to Illustrator: "you can click on the word Height to copy that value into the Height box." Doesn't work. I've trashed the AI prefs, clicked on the word and on the field, and this simply doesn't work. I assume that I or my system is at fault.
View 2 Replies View RelatedPhotos filed in My Pictures sometimes get the bottom half degraded. They get an over all green or yellow cast which I cannot get rid of. The pics start off OK but later for no apparent reason this cast appears.
Could it be connected with images that are scanned in? The camera downloads do not seem to be affected but I might be wrong about that.
Using Adobe Illustrator 10 for Windows 98 (no kidding).I'm designing a spot logo for a Charity.What I want to do is:
1. Create a black circle (not filled, just the outline)
2. Have a word on top (in this case, International) follow the path of the curve.
3. Have the words "Awareness Fund" on the bottom, right-side up
Here is the issue:
1. I can make the path for the circle but I cannot make it any given color, it just disappears when I click off of it. How do I do this?
2. I can get the word on the top to follow the curve, but I cannot break out of it.. I don't know the term. I cannot get the text tool to 'let go' of the previous word and start new ones.
3. When I try to put the words "Awareness Fund" on the bottom not only do I have the problem that it is still attached to the first word on top but the letters are upside down.. how do I convert them to be right-side up?

Now i'm doing it by pasting the main line in the background and giving it white so that it shows a white backgound. Is there a way to do just by drawing like normal lines. If we can, is it possible to control the white backgound only to show less than the original line in both ends. This is for illustrations i do for exploding views and i need to draw this line to show it as assembly drawing.

I have been trying to make a semicirlce or a half of a circle in order to make a Sun on a horizon.Thus far I have used the Ellipse tool and tried using the New Layer > Subtract Front Shape method but I am left with something closer to a crescent shape.
I have also tried to draw a circle and then remove handles but that hasn't worked either.
Only showing black/white paths, not the lines and coloring I've done---how do I revert back?

1. 9.5 oz of Pantone Black C
2. 15.875 oz of Opaque White ( I know there is no pantone standard for white)
I will need to specify that derived Pantone Color for a gloss vinyl paint that we would use to silkscreen and pad print information on ABS or PC injection molded plastic parts.
I use to be able to click on the outer box of text and give it a white fill to clarity when placing text over compex flow diagrams in CS3. I don't seen to be able to do this is CS6?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHere is what my artboard looks like. What I'm trying to do is just get the black shapes as one solid logo without the white showing. For example, if I were to place this in another Illustrator project, it would still have the white rectangles with full transperency. I tried a tut online, but when I place the AI file into another project, the WHOLE image is invisible.
If I were to open this AI file in Photoshop, I could use the Magic Wand to delete the white parts and leave just the black shape. I want to be able to resize the black shape and use it on banners, avatars, etc.
Background notes: I am using this for my gaming website and I would like to be able to use this for my logo. (Crossfire)
I wanted to make a decal to place on the acrylic window of my PC. I found the perfect picture, which is in black and white. For it to look right though, I need to switch the black to white, and vice versa. Is there a way with Photoshop to automatically switch these, instead of having to manually switch them.
