I am trying to use the eyedropper tool to sample the styles onto another shape - however it's only picking up one fill; the top one in my sample shapes appearances. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated CS6 to 13.0.2 and noticed an issue with the eye dropper. With the eye dropper tool selected, hovering over the document puts the wrong values into the RGB section of the Info panel. It does pick the correct colors when you click the mouse, though.
By "the wrong values", I mean that the eye dropper seems to sample half a pixel to the left of the pixel you're hovering over. I'm not using a Retina display, but it wouldn't surprise me if this is a result of the changes for Retina. In any case, it's not correct.
I am trying to create colour samples of vector objects which I have initially drawn in a Purple shade card. Now I would like to have the same object in a blue shadecard and then a green shade card maintaining relationships between the colours in the different parts of the object.

I do a lot of animations so I create FG maps and freeze them. I normally render at 1280 x 720 and create my FG maps at 480 x 270 and samples per pixel at min 4 max 64.
Does samples per pixel effect FG maps. I read somewhere it doesn't and that you can quite happily render FG maps at min 1/64 max 1/64. Which would increase the speed of the crateing FG maps.
Would I be better lowering my samples per pixel and highering my output size?
I'm usually in a constant battle with flickering especially with folaige
script that would sample the underlying color of anchor points in a selected gradient mesh and apply it to them? I was just thinking of ways to speed up the process of creating a vector drawing based on a picture so that all you would have to do is model your mesh and then let the script apply the colors.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed the Corporate and Education version of VideoStudio Pro X3 on 20 computers in a lab at a small high school where this product represents a significant portion of our software budget. In the documentation, I see options like "Easy Edit" and "Burn" on the startup screen, however my startup screen only has the options of "Advanced Edit" and "DV-to-DVD Wizard". At every turn, where an option to burn a DVD should be present, buttons are missing. I have uninstalled/reinstalled a hundred times looking over every option, and I can't find anything that is unchecked. Do you know why VS Pro X3 has no Burning capabilities for me?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been saving a project in a separate folder and it would place it there as uvs130219-001.mpg. It would save three different file. One is the uvs file, another is a .upd file and the last is the .vsp file. Now all of a sudden it is no longer doing this. All it saves there is the .vsp file and not the others. I have tried search and it finds it nowhere. It has to be there somewhere because I can close out the project and then open it up and the clip will be there.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just had to re-install my copy of X5 Ultimate as for some reason the files stopped working..
When I first started the software it told me there was a service update (previously installed on last install and worked fine) but when I clicked on update now it just closed the window without doing anything. I have downloaded the patch from Corel and that installed without problem.
But now, on looking in the 'do more' section there are only 3 items, Boris, Newblue Effects and Jamendo. (I have the first 2 as part of the ultimate edition anyway). The templates and other downloadable content are missing.
I upgraded to Videostudio X6 in the black Friday sale- and when I open my video editor, a picture pop up box usually appears, with a link to check for updates, showing another link with bonus content, etc, and the orange exclamation button in the top right hand corner of the screen (once I click the x on the box and get into my program) usually shows help content.
Since I registered, now all I get is a huge white box for the welcome- it's no longer the full picture- with a cut off tiny bit of the picture screen in upper left corner, but when I put my mouse over a few of the links (not all of them are showing), they don't activate, some just show another white box with the the word "OK" and once I get into the program and click on the help content button- I get a white box that just says "OK". Same with when I exit- I know longer see the tip of the day or any specials - just a white box that says "OK"
I did click the small box at very beginning before editing program appears on monitor- the popup that shows the sale for this version for Black Friday - to have it never show again (since I just bought it)- but when I did the same with Videostudio X5- this never happened, so I don't think that's the problem.
I think it has to do with after I registered- days after - because it was working fine til then.
I saw some were having a problem with Internet Explorer and offered tips- but I use Firefox.
I really don't want to uninstall and reinstall, because I spent days preparing my folders in my library for easy use and retrieval and I don't want to lose all that information/work.
I worked about 4 hours last night on a 13 minute video in ProX3. Before starting I uploaded patch from link that popped up when I opened ProX3. When all done editing, I "shared" it to YouTube via ProX3. This morning when I checked YouTube I found the video audio is corrupt meaning where I had it muted, in some clips it now has scratchy "heart beat" sounding video audio and in some places no video audio where I wanted it, whaaaa. I went back to the original .VSP file to see what was wrong, but the video audio looks good in the wave data.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have been a user of previous versions of VS...but my last version was VS12 because I didn't like version 3 or 4. Finally I am trying Pro X5 on a trial. I completed a project in Pro X5 but now I want to save it out to my computer. The problem is that when I want to save it I am missing my compression options. My standard procedure was to go --> Share --> Save File --> Custom --> Options --> Compression and I could choose from 8 different Media Types...Now, in Pro X5 I only get 2 compression types...NTSC and PAL..

I recently upgraded from VS9 to X2. When I "Create Video File," the audio format options I have are:
PCM
IMA ADPCM
CCITT A-Law
CCITT u-Law
GSM 6.10
Microsoft ADPCM
I seem to recall having more options than this with VS9, but I'm not sure if it's a VS issue or something that needs to be installed on my computer. I also have a new computer, so I don't have all the codecs and audio encoders that I had previously collected over time on my old computer. For example, I used to encode videos for youtube using Xvid. I always had the option for mp3 audio. Now, I only have the above options. I don't even know what most of those are.
Are there some plug-ins that I need to install?
Also, is there a manual that I can download somewhere? I didn't see anything in the install folder, the support area of Corel's site

When I go to my Video Filters they are gone.
I have renamed my vfilter.rsf with no results, as well as the other fixes suggested in this furum for VS10. There does not seem to be a topic for this issue for X2.
It is rather a long time since I captured, edited and burned to DVD on VS10, maybe I have forgotten what to do? I have Windows 7 and have downloaded the patch which successfully allowed me to capture successfully.
However, now that it is time to burn to DVD - I go to 'create disc' and although this takes me through to the next page - I find I don't have the next section after that - i.e. the actual DVD menu's and the bit where I actually render and burn to DVD.

I have VideoStudio Pro X2 (bought last Oct from Amazon didn't know it was two versions old and so had no support from Corel ) . I have come to use it in anger for the first time to create a DVD of my friends wedding. Everything works OK until I use the "share and then create a disk" I get to the Preview stage (it previews great) and then there is a "Back" button but no "Next" button.
I downloaded the latest patch from Corel for this version but it made no difference.
I usually create several smaller .vsp projects for managing purposes and in each project I create several chapter points by inserting the green arrow icon as described on page 96 of the user guide. I then combine a couple .vsp projects in order to fill a dvd by the following sequence:
1/ start with a new blank project
2/ click on 3 share tab up top
3/ click on create disc / dvd
4/ add 2 vsp projects or more
5/ Click add/edit chapters to confirm proper chapters points have carried through from previous vsp projects
It is at this point where I notice all chapter points have been deleted from the individual vsp projects which is very frustrating.
I have also updated with SP1 & 2, and I have checked to see that the software is up to date via the Corel Guide message center and it says that it is.
I have also noticed that if i create a DVD of one project, the chapter points stay intact, however the name of the selected clip changes to untitled.
I recently upgraded from X2Pro to X4 ultimate and I'm missing some transition effects that I had in X2 but are not in X4.
I'm really disappointed that transition effects and other stuff from X2 content pack are not included in x4 ultimate, and I cant find any content pack for x4 on corel website, is there any?
Can I use transition effects from X2 in X4? I hate to have to use X2 after paying for X4 Ultimate just for transition effects

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have used VideoStudio 11 happily for some time now but when I recently captured a HDV video in the DV format I found that the audio in some of the sequences plays back normally BUT some does not play back at all or only at a very very low level. The audio on the original tape is fine and I can see the audio waveform on the sequences that don't play back.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded from VideoStudio 12 to Pro X4, and have noticed that I don't have all of the Video Save Options (specifically Media type and Audio format) that I have with 12.
I produce video for playback by a regional local access provider, and their requirements are mpeg-2 video with mpeg layer 2 audio. Both of these are options that are available in 12 but not X4. I understand that NTSC DVD video is mpeg-2, but I'm still at a loss with the audio format.

Using VS X6 with one video track and one title track. The problem I have is when I choose the 'Create Disk' option, Create ISO the resulting ISO is missing the Title track.
If I 'Create Video File' and select DVD 16x9 it creates the MPEG file fine with Title track.
Have I missed a setting tick box somewhere?
I've uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled same missing titles problem.
I've been using Video Studio for years and never experienced anything like this.
Using VS X2, There is only black screen when editing sample file or any other video. All load correctly and can be viewed as individual clips but only black screen when playing "project" . Have re-installed program (repair) - no change.
