Photoshop :: 13.0.2 Update / Eye Dropper Samples From Wrong Pixel

I just updated CS6 to 13.0.2 and noticed an issue with the eye dropper. With the eye dropper tool selected, hovering over the document puts the wrong values into the RGB section of the Info panel. It does pick the correct colors when you click the mouse, though.
 
By "the wrong values", I mean that the eye dropper seems to sample half a pixel to the left of the pixel you're hovering over. I'm not using a Retina display, but it wouldn't surprise me if this is a result of the changes for Retina. In any case, it's not correct.

3ds Max :: Lowering Samples Per Pixel And High Output Size

I do a lot of animations so I create FG maps and freeze them. I normally render at 1280 x 720 and create my FG maps at 480 x 270 and samples per pixel at min 4 max 64.

Does samples per pixel effect FG maps. I read somewhere it doesn't and that you can quite happily render FG maps at min 1/64 max 1/64. Which would increase the speed of the crateing FG maps.

Would I be better lowering my samples per pixel and highering my output size?

I'm usually in a constant battle with flickering especially with folaige

Photoshop :: Activates Wrong Layer After Last Update?

I select a layer to work on it, move the layer, click on the canvas, & PSD activates a different, wrong layer. This happened on a new project and an older one that used to work. It seems to only affect layers that have been re-arranged.

After Effects :: DVCPro HD Render Wrong After Update To 12.1?

rendering out of After Effects CC 12.1 as DVCpro HD 1080i60 is showing up as the wrong aspect ratio, it renders out as 1888 x1062. Before the update to After Effects CC 12.1 it was working/rendering completely fine as 1280 x1080.
 
Take a DVCPRO HD 1080 comp, render it and it renders as 1888 x1062, not 1280 x1080 like it did before.  And the strange thing, if I re-import that rendered clip into AE, it will see it as 1280 x1080 (1.50), but if I open that clip up in Quicktime, it will see it only as 1888 x1062 ??  Again, before the update to 12.1 even quicktime would see it correctly as 1280 x1080.  Something in the header info in quicktime is now wrong and it won't read it correctly.  We have a piece of gear that i need to send files to as dvcpro hd 1280 x1080 and it won't even take them anymore because the quicktime header or something is wacky.  (yes the gear i'm sending to is weird, and strange we send it that format, don't ask, I know)
 
I've tired rendering/exporting out of media encoder and premiere since the update and it's the same thing.  Even rendering from AE and forcing it to resize in the render queue won't work.... it still shows up as 1888 x1062.  Errr So I'm not sure where to start looking to fix the problem?  Is it happening because of the Adobe update to 12.1, is it a quicktime issue or is it my Calibrated software for DVCpro on windows..... I don't know?  I just know it was all working great before this latest update and now it's not.

And software called "Calibrated" DVCPro HD Decode software so we can use DVCPro clips on windows.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Linetypes Display Wrong After Installing 2012 Update 2.1

4 days ago, I installed the 2012 Update 2.1.

Prior to that, the linetype as seen in the attached screen short displayed the same for both the alignment style (green) and the polyline (white).  After 2.1, they display at different scales.  Why?  There now seems to be a problem with linetype scaling in the style definitions.

The same linetype is used in the alignment style as is assigned to the polyline.  The scale is the same for both (in the alignment style definition and as assigned to the polyline).

The only thing that changed is that on Friday morning, I installed the update 2.1 and this is what things looked like in existing model files when I opened them that displayed correctly when I went home on Thursday.  Open this file on my computer and it displays according to the attached screen shot.  Open the exact same file on another team member's computer and they display at the same scale.

I just happened to think of this while reading another thread about PHOTOSHOP UPGRADES AND NEW RELEASES...As I was using text and trying to figure out what would look best for something I'm working on.I was constantly going from my font app back to photoshop to try it.Why doesnt photoshop change or put a window to change text samples All I can find with the drop down for text is it says "Sample" can we change that? to read what we want?

Photoshop :: Changing Somthing's Color Pixel By Pixel

It blows my mind that somthing this simple isnt all that simple. I used the eyedropper tool to slect a color from another photo, then used the brush while fully magnified to change the color of each pixel.

It was coming out a weird greyish color, and I noticed that if I clicked more than once, it got darker, but so did the pixels directly around the one i was editing. So, i copied both pictures, loaded them into paint, and went to town.

It worked, but then when i copied it back into photoshop, it had a black background (there was no background in the original pictures) around the sprite I was editing. I tried to use the magic wand tool to get rid of it, but it took parts of the sprite with it, so...

Is there any way that I can edit the color of a single pixel (or hell, even a group of pixels if they share the same exact color would be nice...preferred, even) accurately? If not, what program could I use that would keep the transparent background?

I need to choose a color from the center of the image. Presently when I use the eyedropper, it selects a color, but when running the action on another file, it just show me the same color as when I recorded my action.

I would like it to select whatever color is situated at 50% width / 50% length of the layer. My preferences are set to percents, rulers ditto.

I have been using Photoshop for quite sometime now for basic image editing and website design. I recently upgraded to 7.0 since 4.0 was giving me some trouble with memory errors that would result in loss of work. Anyways my question is this: Lately (as in the past week or 2) I have been having a problem with my Photoshop, when I would click on the color selector (the 2 color boxes in the tool selector box) it would select the Eye Dropper tool instead. And from there I could not do anything without hitting Alt + F4, after doing that the Eye Dropper tool would go away and I would be back where I started, still unable to change or choose a color. While the Eye Dropper tool is active when I do this I cannot click on anything or do anything, the Eye Dropper tool will not even function. I would only get an error sound as if I was trying to do something I'm not supposed too. I've never encountered this before and cannot find this same problem anywhere online. I have reinstalled PS numerous times and still the same effect. Has anybody else had or seen this problem? How can I fix it? Thank you for your time.

Nevermind, I found the problem. Apparently if I run PS with only 1 monitor on I get this error, but as long I have both monitors enabled it works fine. That's weird but atleast it works now.

Photoshop :: Could Not Use Eye Dropper Tool Because Of Program Error

I am currently using PS CC and can't use the eye dropper tool. I get a dialog box that reads "Could not use the eye dropper tool because of a program error"
 
I have tried the tool from many angles thru the color picker, shifting the brush tool, ect. I get the same message. The eyedropper works for me in Illustrator.
 
You don't realize how necessary the eyedropper tool is till it is not working! I have rebooted, tried 64bit and 32, uninstalled CC and and reinstalled with no luck.

About color lab color correction, in those days i'm watching a lot of tutorials about cause i'm trying to understand this new to me subject in a better way.

While neutralizing color, correcting a photo in Lab by Curvas adj Layer, the default eye dropper values are:

Black- 0, Gray- 128, White- 255 RGB (0-54-100 Lab)

To prevent the possibility of out of gamma some tutorials suggest to change the above mentioned default values:

Black from 0 to 26 RGB (0-6 Lab), White from 255 to 243 RGB (0-96 Lab)

What about the middle eye dropper Gray? A few tutorials mention to chage the gray value too from 128 to 133 RGB (54-56Lab) while the majority never mention gray value, they tell about black and white never mentioning the gray value; what is your experience about?

The above mentioned "out of gamma problem" is mainly related to output printing or to screen displaying too?

Generally speaking I would like to receive some comment by you gurus about this very subject, while working in Lab, what about your Curvas adj Layer eye dropper values, do you change them or you leave them as default?

I managed to remove the background, of an image,(A whit background) and put the image on top of a transparent layer. made a transparent image. When I place this image over a light color background, it looks fine, but when I place it over a dark color background, the edge of the image looks very rough and dirty, I think it's because some of the anti alias from the original image, how can I make it a clean image without going to delete pixel by pixel?

Our problem is that we don’t Know how channel mix works exactly for transforming pixel by pixel in Java.

For example,

We have an image an do on it the next mix:

Output Channel = Red
Red=200.0
Green=0.0
Blue=0.0

For simulate that, we transform all pixels with Red Component *2 and 255 (maximum) if is greater.

Our problem is:

Output Channel = Red
Red=200.0
Green=60.0
Blue=0.0

How can I simulate that?

I got a question about Photoshop CS. You know how when you are painting with the brush tool and then you press ALT to sample a color right? Well, it normally changes the foreground color to the color you sample, but mine’s just suddenly started changing the background color instead O_o. I rest tools, turn off the machine, but weeks later I find myself constantly have to switch to the background color, using (x) whenever I sample. It’s a pain in the ass! How do you change it back to normal?
