I am working with a client that used Corel VideoStudio X4 and we need to export/save her files for her website. We know we want to use FLV files but so far we're not getting them compressed enough. the "best practices" for FLV file creation & compression within X4? Are we able to select different codecs to try?
View 3 RepliesI've got several photo files I've taken for a friend, edited them to display a transparent background, to use on his website. They're saved right now as layered psd's.
They're pretty large files (40-70 MB). My challenge is that the webmaster asked for them to be sized "at least 1800 pixels @ 72 dpi longest side." I'm a bit confused at the 1800 pixels @ 72 dpi.
I'm planning to save them as .png and .tif (this is what was requested).
I'm using PS CS5 and my OS is Win 7.
While "Draw" of Coreldraw X5 is working well, Corel Photopaint X5 does not "Save", "Save as..." or "Export" files. It just does nothing, when I choose to save a file under "something.cpt". It works, as long as it is a JPG, but not as a CPT. I am working on a Win7, with CorelX5 in german. Support told me to reinstall.
View 15 Replies View Relatedwhen i open a new file and export it with ctrl+e, the gimp 2.8 exports the file with the current file name as expected but after i save (with save as) file with a new file name, ctrl+e exports the new file with the old file name, and i think it has to be changed, because it is an absolutely new file and it is senseless to keep the old file name for exporting the new file..

The 'Use Artboards' feature is on the Save As... dialog but it's disabled. It looks like there was an extension (Illustrator HTML5 Pack for CS5) available at one time but its appears to have been removed from Adobe's site.

So, my camera files will be mainly 1080 files at 30fps, what will be the best file type/size to save files for future use. I don't really mind the rendering time and space isn't a huge problem, but the variety of file types is bewildering. Most clips will find their way to DVD but I don't want to reduce resolution as they might be used at a later date for Blu-Ray.

I'll be creating the video using stills with transitions in between.

I know how to change the project properties to custom frame sizes which is fine but what should I aim to be creating? I was thinking of an MP4 (H264) file but just wondering if you have other thoughts on what I should create as a video file before converting to .swf

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm using Lightroom 4.3 to add a copyright watermarking image (png) to existing tiff files for website use. I have several different png files made using Photoshop Elements, with the copyright text set at different transparencies, eg 20/30/40 percent opacity, so that whichever one I use in Lightroom I can always leave the opacity setting in the watermarking dialog at 100% and the images are scaled proportionally to 35%.
The problem is that every time I export the files after setting the watermark position etc, I notice that there is a noticeable loss of both contrast and colour in the newly made tiff files.
Lightroom 4.3, Windows 7, 64-bit.
I only recently upgraded to 2.8 from 2.6 and was wondering if I am the onlyone missing the option to edit the file extension in the SAVE formwhich basically allowed you to Save, Save Copy, Save As or Export to anyformat from the same form?
I also found it strange that if I now open a JPG file (or drag into GIMP),I can't save changes (to the JPG) directly (it wants to save to native Gimpformat), so I again first have to go to Export instead!
I am wondering why this was incorporated, and if it's going to stay, is there a setting I can set to work like I am used to (and find much fasterand more flexible)?

The process entails locating a suitable area of each image, cropping that area to 25 pixels square, and saving the result. Obviously, I need to be able to do this as quickly as possible; ideally with just a single click for each image, and so I'd like to set up a script in order to batch-process the images. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that a suitable position on one image is going to be at all suitable for another, so a limited amount of interactivity is required.
Is it possible to set up an interactive batch task, or would some other approach be required?

I'm running Photoshop CC 14.1.2 on Mac (OSX 10.8.5) and whenever I use "Save As…" Photoshop marks the original file as edited and asks me to save it again before I close it - even if I have not made any changes before or after using "Save as…". This behavior is breaking some of my actions and bothering me quite a bit.

If I run the action on one file, it works perfect.
If I try to run it as a batch, it creates the bmp files fine.
But it also creates either a .ai file, or two .eps files!
Writing one or two extra files signifiantly shows the process down.
After I run the batch it is not hard to simply delete the extra .eps/ai files of course.
But writing those files seriously slows the process down, and I have about 89,000 more files to go.

When I try to export retouched files to hard drive files my Mac crashes and has to be force quitted. I thought this maybe a L'room 4 problem so I bought L'room 5 and it's still happening. What can I do?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just recently installed AutoCAD LT 2014 on Windows 7 (Running on an intel iMac through Bootcamp). Ever since then i am receiving notifications when performing a save.
AutoCAD is telling me it cannot perform the save and is creating a .tmp file in the same location on the server as the file should be.
this is causing major performance issues and happens almost every second time I attempt to perform a save. The issue is that we are getting multiple versions of the same file duplicating on the file server which is very quickly going to cause capacity issues considering most files are 2-4mb in size.
since a month, when i try to save a job in adobe illustrator cs 5, it appears "unknowned error" (italian version) and i can't save my job! i tried to save as pdf, as ai, to export as a jpg, nothing is possible!
i uninstalled all the software and i instaleld again: sometime it goes well, but evryday i have this problem
When trying to export RAW files to TIF files I get following Warning message:
Unable to Export:
An internal error has occured: Win32 API error 2 ("The system cannot find the file specified.") when calling ShellExecuteExW from AgWorkspace.shellExecute.
This happpens in LR 4 and I never had this problem in previuos version.
