Some how I'm stuck on this issue; I need to save/export (pdf/jpg) a few pages which includes content outside page border. It seems to be impossible to save page content - inside the page border - only.....?

Using CorelDraw X5 15.2
why (sometimes) when I export text or graphics as .eps files to my cutter it cuts the same outline up to four to five times and ends up cutting right through the backing paper. I have been using postcut with various corel editions since 1997 with no problems until recently. It also cuts random lines through lines of text which is such an expensive pain in the ass.
I started to use the production manager in flexi sign to cut my designs and same thing happens, except for the random lines but it will make up to five cuts on some objects. All text and graphics are exported the same. Has something in corel newer versions changed in relation to this?
When I select "Save As" or "Export", the list of available file formats is only a fraction of what the help file shows as supported file formats. The help file instructs me to use the instructions in "To modify or repair a CorelDRAW Graphics Suite installation" but this does not work. How can I get or verify that all the file format filters listed in Supported file formats are installed in my CorelDraw 15?
Right now I am particularly interested in saving a CDR in the Visio (VSD) file format, but I would like to have of them available.
I have SP3 installed along with the hotfix. I have less than 500 fonts installed as well as ran a repair and F8 my desktop. I still get random closes when I save, print, or export a pdf. Are there any specific fixes out there?
View 10 Replies View RelatedClient supplies me with word document, I make a PDF from it and then from Acrobat create an ESP file, this is done as an eps file is much less likely to cause probs then importing a PDF, I then print from the Coreldraw file with the EPS pages no problem. The problem then arises when I have to then create a PDF file from COreldraw for the client - any EPS files in the document do not appear in the PDF - so there lies the problem.I cannot alway directly import a PDF file (often screws up) even if I save fonts as outlines. Saving as EPS overcomes most/all issues.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried on numerous occasions to save my corel draw files to adobe illustrator but once you try to save a page in corel to AI the program locks up in the background so that you can't close it and when I try to enter my new AI file into my internet "dropbox" so that my web-designer can use the files, I am just informed that copying the file into dropbox is not possible as the file is currently open in Corel Draw?
I have tried to get the hot-fix/updated patch for Corel X6 however that is an even worse nightmare with all the swings and roundabouts Corel trys to get you to go on before you can get a simple update.
My web designer is waiting to start work on my new website but I just can not get my design work to him.
I just purchased and installed X5 on my Win 7 Pro system. I work with large files (8-10MB) using multiple OLE linked CDR files and bitmaps. When I export to PDF using the built-in exporter, most of the OLE files do not print and the ones that do are corrupted. I have made a work around using doPDF V7, but believe this should work out of the box.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just replaced the hard drive in my laptop. I have installed Coreldraw 12 again and it opens and works fine.
Problem is when I create and save a file. The file appears on the desktop ( if that is where I save it ) but it has an odd icon with a red A on the bottom corner. If I click on it, I get a "not a valid win32 application" message.
However if I open Corel12 and import the file, it appears to be fine.
Corel has suddenly started corrupting any new files I save. I'll make a file, save it, then when I open it... It goes through the motions of opening it, but when it is done nothing opens. There is nothing there.
If I change the file to a zip file and open the riffDATA.cdr file that works, but this CAN'T be my solution. Could a virus have corrupted Corel?
Is there any way for CorelDraw X6 to export very large TIFF files? e.g. greater than 30,000 pixels in each dimension? I am currently running X5 on XP 32-bit and it cannot seem to handle it, even though Photo-Paint appears to have the ability.I finally manage to get our IT guys to give me a Win7 64-bit test machine for me to trial X6 64-bit, but seems to only do marginally better than my X5 installation. The test machine already has 7GB RAM installed plus a very, very large drive.I also had to run the same test on Adobe Illustrator and it was able to deal with this very quickly and smoothly, no troubles at all.You may find it hard to believe, but I actually like using CorelDraw :-), which is so far the standard package for our company, but if I cannot get X6 doing what we want, I'm afraid it's the end of the line.

I started this exercise off using New from the File menu and then Imported a .png photo. I then feathered out the edges of the photo.
Now I have spent many, many attempts to try and Export this photo (in Corel Photo Paint) as a new .png file so that I can then use it later with other packages e.g. with the hopeful intention of it having a completely transparent background for use with say Power Point. I want the ability to take the new image with a transparent background and place it over an existing background in say PP so that the background "bleeds through" the feathered edges. What is happening is, the feathered edges that I created are no longer transparent when the image gets exported out of Corel Photo Paint as a .png file. They show up as a white glow. I was successful if I followed the steps as given by "Hunter" but I had to create the image wholly in Corel Draw using the transparency tool which does not seem to allow for feathering of the edges of an image. The only way I can see to feather the edges is by using Corel Photo Paint but then I don't get them transparent when I export the file. If I was to create an image with say a circular hole in the middle of it with NO FEATHERING ...sharp edges, all would be fine.
Is it possible to do this in Corel Draw 12?
I have a document with multiple pages. I need each page saved as a separate JPEG file.
I can do this by exporting each page individually, but this is painful - I have 29 pages to export.
Is there any way to export all pages in one step? I would like the JPEG files to be created with the page name as the file name.
I have recently installed Corel X6 and have found it to be painfully slow when opening files. At first I had thought it might be a network issue so I copied the file to a local drive and experienced the same problem.
The file is only 819Kb but it takes about 3 minutes to open the file. When I first select the file in the File Open dialogue window Corel just hangs for about 1 minute. It finally responds then takes a further 2 minutes to process and open the file.
I have turned off my antivirus software as I thought this might be a file scanning issue but still the same result.
I use CorelDRAW on a daily basis and recently the program takes a lot of time to open/close/save my files, or sometimes it'll simply freeze.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have multiple files open in Corel every day, and then, at the end of the day I have to run to get my lift (never at the same time!) and I would love a way to save all my files with just a click of a button.
I know Dreamweaver had this function - not sure if it still has, but I would love for Corel to have this so I don't have to scroll through all my open files and save them! If the file is not named it can pop up the save as box as usual and leave it open till the next day.
I have to save before I go, as we have very unreliable power and the UPS systems are not reliable either.
I was facing problems with X5 soon after installing it, it actually doesn't installs properly. Somehow i have to End Process of installation and though find X5 in my Start menu of Windows XP SP2. Well the actual problem started when i recently tried to publish PDF for one of my client's brochure of 17 pages, X5 closes all of a sudden and i have to restart the whole process. At times it creates a PDF which then has errors and Acrobat Reader don't read it.At times X5 even gives Error while saving files. Then have to click Save till it actually saves the file.I uninstalled X5 thinking, there could be some corrupted files and re-installed, but all in vain..

View 9 Replies View RelatedWill Corel6 (or later) ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.
i´m using CRD since X3 so I think i´m quite experienced with all the crashes and uncompatibilities but now I have a problem which I can´t solve.
I made a graphic project which is quite large (2,6m x 2,0m @ 300dpi) and including raster grahics. The CDR file itself has about 400MB. When I tried to export this graphic to the png or jpg at the current size Corel X5 always crashes. I tried almost everything on many computers but always the same problem.
It looks like the project is too large for export. At this moment I desperately need to export the file to jpg or png at full resolution. Maybe X6 is more stable when exports or I have to simplify the project somehow but...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI made a vectorial shape with CorelDraw x3, and exported it as EPS. I can import it again with no problems, but when I try IMPORT using other software, the EPS file is readed truncated.. is a kind of shifted image.
Do you have any clue about that?
After upgrade from X4 to X6.4 noticed that AI export filter in version 7 is not present. It is very important - only ver 7 is readable for my software for laser machine and I really need this funkction. Maybe detail, but without this small point big X6.4 is like garbage

When I am in CorelDraw or in PhotoPaint, and try to Export as a JPG or PNG file, I get the dialog box showing the picture and details on the right side. But then when I click OK, NO File is saved. This is frustrating. So I go back and try it again and no file saved. So then I try a PDF save and it does it. Then I go back and try to get my PNG saved and it may or may not save it. Finally, I fiddle with it and I can get the FILE SAVED. What a hassle. What is blocking CorelDraw from saving JPG and PNG to finish their generation?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI would like to export a page I am creating as a jpg. Right now, I have one object on the page, and its a .jpg object. When I export from the File menu, only the jpg is exported. How can I export the entire page? If I add text to the object (which will be a banner). it only exports the jpg, and and the exact space required by the text, not the entire page. I have been unable to find setting for exporting selected objects or entire page. I have another less powerful drawing program that gives options to export object, selection, or page.
If I create a box, and place it on the document, the whole thing will export, but if the pox is larger than the page, then entire box is still exported, where I only want the page dimensions exported so I can eventually arrange objects ont he box that will overlap the page dimesnsions, but only the page area should be exported as a jpg.
Should I be doing this as a powerclip? I haven't used that feature yet in CD. Then export the powerclip object?
I would like to export my Corel Draw X6 file to a .pdf., but is there an option that will make it non-vectored? I'm a sign designer and often need to create multi-paged .pdf's to submit to architects and customers. But in giving the customer the .pdf I've now basically given away all of my vectored art. Anyone with Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator can simply import the .pdf and now they have all of my artwork in vectored form. Obviously I can export single pages as .jpg to solve this issue, but for multiple pages, and for contractual reasons I'm required to submit .pdf's to the architect or customer.
Is there a way/setting to export to .pdf, and have it be a simple, rastor-like image, that contains no vectored information?
I've seen PDF files with layers (the same as it comes in Corel Draw - you can hide or show something etc.). Probably they were created with AutoCAD.
Is it possible to export/save CorelDraw file to such PDF with layers? For example, if I got 3 layers in my CDR then I'd like to have them in my PDF.
I tried option PUBLISH TO PDF but I didn't find (or I wasn't careful enough) any option to do this.
we use CorelDraw for all our design and day-to-day artwork requirements, and for preparing artwork for our laser engraving machinery. We have recently upgraded to X6 and have found problems exporting to .plt.
First we noticed that a page border surrounding artwork, where we use the page border for positioning, and the art to engrave, the page border would export, but anything inside it would not. So we tried all the obvious workarounds - grouping etc, but found that the only way to get it all across was to combine the artwork.
Now we are noting that anywhere there is artwork surrounded by a closed curve - eg a rectangular block with a phone number reversed out - the art that is surrounded (eg the phone number) will not export if un-grouped or grouped, it has to be combined into one object.
I tried almost all the options to export a color coreldraw to a grayscale image, in EPS.
With the X4 I have, I did not succed, the eps image is never grayscale, but stays colored.
How to export png or jpg 32 bits?
