View 14 RepliesUsing VS X5 - Just making up a menu for my dvd im burning. Haven made a menu since using ..VS11+ I think it was.
All seems very very familar...similar etc and not asking it to do anything out of the ordinary which 11+ couldnt cope with ( just nowadays using all this AVCHD malaky etc )
Question -Main menu of my dvd - Why am I getting on my main menu page the begininings of my movie!!! I have my main menu setup ( bringing in a pre-made 30second clip on which I will put 'Press Play to watch movie' and/or 'chapter select'. ) When i preview my main menu page...I see the 30second clip i wanted but as it runs so too does my actual movie - at the same time.
I cant seem to find a button to ..basically..tell it not to play the movie as soon as you load the dvd but instead to wait until the 30 second main menu runs and automatically reruns etc until YOU decide to press the 'Play movie' button.
What programs are available to create dvd menu templates to be used in VS X4? Right now I'm using the TBYB version but if I were to purchase I would like to be able to create and adding my own templates since there don't appear to be very many that come with the program, only a couple that I can see anyways.
I like the fact that I can burn video files and menus to disc within VS but the current selection of menus makes this feature mostly useless so I'm wondering how I could add more.
Is it possible to import menu templates from Videostudio 11 to the latest Pro X4. I am trying to to keep all my holiday movies with the same template and can find the files in VS 11 but not sure if I can import and which file I would import it into.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have installed the evaluation version of VideoStudio Pro X4 in order to test it.When I whant to create a Blu-Ray menu, I have only one menu template. Is it normal ?
After modifying it, I can't find the way to save it, in "Favorite" for example. How to create a new menu from zero ?Or this menu creation tool is very limited, or I missed something.
I am on a 30 day trial of Videostudio pro X5, I am trying to create a simple menu via "nuts & bolts" like I could about 5 yrs ago on DVD-LAB. I do not care for the "wizard" approach....why, because you don't get exposed as to what is going on under the hood. Presently i don't care for transitions, motions, background music and alot of the other fluff work. This can all come later!
I know there are lots of tutorials for trans coding source video from one format to another. In a nutshell, I want to render to DVD, 3 Television episodes. One menu with 3 selections, play selected episode til end, return to menu and wait. I want to be able to pick my font type & Font size and and episode title, if I had more episodes a "More" selection link to a 2nd page menu from there a "previous" button to go back to 1st page.
Any way to add more Chapter pointers on the actual DVD menu itself. It seems like the provided DVD menu templates, and I've installed the extras in VSP X4, only have 4~5 chapter pointers per DVD menu page. There's plenty of screen space to add more chapter pointers but how to do it. I tried clicking on one and doing a copy, but can't seem to go any further than that. I must be missing something somewhere. I want to have 6~12 links to chapters on each DVD menu page. I don't need a preview image for each chapter pointer, just a simple text pointer is fine.
Is there a way to do add more to the DVD menus?
I am using Video Suite X5 and have made a video with chapters. After playing one of several chapters I want the DVD to return to the menu but it continues to play the remainder of the disc. I found a setting for Clip Playback that has settings of "Continue to Play the Next Clip" and "Back to Menu". I set this to 'Back to Menu" re-burn, but after playing a chapter, it still continues to play the disc and does not return to the menu.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis actually applies to all the versions I have used since VS10. I have never been able to create a top menu for the dvd which looks like the ones on commerical dvd's, namely, to have buttons not only to "play movie" but also to "view chapters" etc. The user's manuals appear to be mum on this point.

After editing my clips and am ready to burn,I select SHARE, CREATE DISK, DVD, create a menu and get stuck in a closed loop.Instead of NEXT after I preview the final product, the window has BACK, so I end up in the window where you select if you want a menu. Click NEXT and am back at the menu window with BACK in the box.
This same VS pro X2 was on my old computer (XP) and made many burns with no problems.
I just upgraded from X3 to X4 (probably means X5 is on the way...). When I upgraded to X3, I had some "My Favorites" DVD menu templates in VS10+ which I managed to transfer to Movie Factory SE by moving some files (*.ufo?) from some VS10 directory to somewhere in Movie Factory. It's too long ago -- can't remember the details.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to delete a Menu. I burned a DVD but the Menu is wrong. When I recall the *.VSP file it has the Menu that I don't want. How can I delete it? If this is not possible is my edited video saved somewhere without the Menu?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know if it was like that before, but since X4 I have a minor problem when I start to render a video: The longer the project is, starting from 5 mins, the longer it takes for the rendering menu to appear. I have uploaded a video on YouTube to make clear what I mean.

There seems to be an issue with edits to DVD menus not being saved properly. This is in addition to the chapter names problem I've read about.
Whatever changes I make to the menu in the Create Disc dialog, such as adding a graphic and changing text to the Main menu, are lost upon closing the Create Disc dialog and returning back to the VSPX4 Share workspace.
In short, this is my workaround:
1. Save the current project (File > Save).
2. Click Share > Create Disc.
3. After the Create Disc dialog pops up, remove the movie that's labeled "Untitled."
4. Add the .VSP project just saved.
5. Add chapters, edit the menu text, and so forth.
6. Click the "Close" button.
The DVD chapter markers will update on the VS timeline. Previous chapter markers on the timeline are deleted. I now want to see if the edits to the menu have been saved, so:
7. Click Share > Create Disc again.
8. Remove the movie labeled "Untitled." That always comes back.
Edits I made the last time are still there.
9. Continue with adding chapter markers, editing the menu...
With my strategy, all chapter markers have to be added in the Create Disc dialog. Chapter markers on the timeline in the VS Edit workspace get passed to the Create Disc dialog, but they are associated with the movie labeled "Untitled" which I delete. There is no point in adding chapter markers to the timeline in the VS Edit workspace.
Using VS X4, I haven't been able to find how to create my own DVD menu, starting with a blank screen.
I have been able to use the gallery edit function and remove text fields, but can't remove the image that is supplied with a given gallery menu. Is there just a way to start with a blank screen and then just add an image and some text?
How I can add intro movie before menu. I'm using VS Pro X6.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhere to get more AVCHD disc menu templates than the 8 that come with it? I was wondering if the demo of DVD MovieFactory 7 has more and if I installed the demo if I could copy the templates over to VSX4.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince my main menu include only one movie, is it possible to skip the main menu, so the submenu with the selected chapters will become the only one menu?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have VS-X3. In version X2 there was a check box that let you skip he initial menu in making a disc. There seems to be no way of doing that in version X3. Also, the files include HD- simple menus. How can there be accessed when the only choice given is Fun or Legacy?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWithin a DVD menu I created a motion menu. However I don't want to have the first clip as introductory video for the motion menu. I unmarked the checkbox named "use first clip as introductory video and added, in the first page of the Share - DVD, the clip that must be played in the motion menu (moved the clip most left).
In the menu itself its now fine when nothing is selected, though when selecting the total video to play, the selected video file of the motion menu starts to play where the first video file (clip) must be played. I know that in the main menu I can select the first clip to play as well but that's exactly what I want to avoid..
I removed all chapters since I don't like to have a sub-menu. Just one overall main menu to play the total video, and in the DVD menu in the motion menu only, I want to see (and not select) the chosen clip.
I have a single project in X5 with which I want to have several chapters on a DVD menu. The trick is that I want to have all of the chapters on the first DVD menu that comes up, not on a sub-menu to the main menu. The only way I have been able to accomplish this is to break the project into separate projects per chapter, then load each individual project into the Create Disc sofware through the Add Media option. This is a big hassle and something I do not want to do very often. Is there an easier way to accomplish what I am wanting or am I out of luck with this software?
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes Corel have a product that will enable me to create a slideshow with digital pictures, with a menu that will enable the viewer to select a particular group of slides to view. For example, I take a 5 day trip and take pictures each day. I want to create the slideshow with a menu to allow the viewer to select day 3, for example, and view only those pictures.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI only want the main menu(to play the whole DVD) and perhaps 2 chapters to show on a standard DVD after it is inserted.
View 7 Replies View Relatedbeen using Videostudiopro X5 for few years typically just for weddings and I do not use chapters. I need to edit and produce a dance recital this week and wondering if this is possible:
Producing 2 hours to a DL disc and will have 34 total dances. I will set a chapter marker for each dance. When it comes time for the menu, can I have 17 chapters on 2 pages for total of 34? I would like to have one menu page with 2 submenu pages, 1 submenu page for Act 1, 1-17 with song name and another for Act 2, 18-34 with song name.
I can do this with Sony Vegas, but prefer editing with VSPro.....
I'm trying to make a DVD that shows different products video's. It's for in our shop, so people can see the products on a screen.
I have downloaded the Trial version of Corel VideoStudio 6, because this should have options to make a good menu. I've followed the following steps:
1. Create a New DVD.
2. Imported the different video's from the different products (it are just short video's). It's Step 1 in the DVD creation menu.
3. Went to NEXT, where I hade the options to make choose and edit a menu. I've changed it a bit with my own background and some other things and it looks great. I have 12 pages now.
But now I'm stuck. I've tried to find out via youtube video's and internet, but I'm not sure if this is possible:I would like to have a main menu that shows up when the DVD is played. On this menu I would like to have 2 options;
1. Play all scènes, so all the scenes will be played after each other.
2. Select a scene, where you can just choose the scene you would like to see and afther that scene you have to choose another one (so it doesn't play further automatically).
I am Creating a DVD + menu using X4..I have 5 Mpeg videos added to the burner module..I am using one of the Text Menus...Customised to use 6 per page.My five links show on the first menu page. From Advanced I have selected to show Thumbnail Numbers
I expected to see 1 through to 5...I see 1, 2. 3, 4, then 1..I added a further video just to make sure and I see 1, 2, 3, 4, then 1, 2 …the numbering starting again.
Noticed that after creating a DVD menu via Videostudio (x6 installed), that when the Main Menu appears on your TV (or preview box in the DVD maker) that the wording you have created has a slight judder as it settles into its place? The same happens when you select to play or leave that menu page, that it always has a slight judder moving off again.
I tried turning off motion menu, but the font seems to always judder slightly out of position on arrival or exit.
I made a DVD with a thumbnail menu. It has four pages with four thumbnails each. When navigating around it always defaults to the first page. Say I'm watching a chapter from the second page and I return to the menu, it sends me back to page one not page two. Is there a way to set it up to return you to your last location? I've made other DVDs that did this so I'm confused as to why this one isn't the same. Do I need to use one of the preset menus instead of a custom one?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to make a DVD with three (or more) short movie clips (Chapters?? Titles ??) which can be played individually, or from start to finish. I want a menu with a structure something like: Main Page with two buttons - Button 1 to play the whole movie (ie starting with clip 1 and then 2 and 3 until the end), and Button 2 which will take me to a new menu page where I can select individual clips, This page will have one button per clip, and if I select Clip 2 I want Clip 2 to play and then return to the menu (preferably menu page 2) without going on to play Clip3, 4 etc.
At present I am using the trial version of Video Studio to try it out before committing myself to a purchase, but I cannot access a user guide (which I understand only comes with the full version). Therefore I cannot find out how to construct such a menu system, or indeed even find out if such is possible with this product.
Does Video Studio (any version) allow a Menu structure as I have described and if so how can I do it?
I upgraded from the old Video Studio 10 Plus to the Corel Pro 3X. I am now in the process of downloading all the Get More updates. While I am doing this, here is my Menu/Chapter problem.
1. I created the first video (part 1). I somehow have a main menu, and the the second menu has my chapters to select. Yay! I saved the menu to My Favorites. The DVD works great, a person can select a chapter to play, etc.
2. Now I am trying to create the second video (part 2). Somehow in My Favorites I have two menu templates from the first DVD I created. I have tried selecting each one and am trying to create a main menu, and then the second menu with 4 chapters. But each time I end up with 4 chapter menus, but I want the second menu to have the 4 chapters on it that you select a chapter thumbnail that your want to view.
I hate to start from scratch because I like the fonts, etc. from the first DVD, which is part 1.
Having troubles with the Videostudio program menu (not video menus) becoming unresponsive? At times, when I click on on a menu item (e.g., Edit) it changes intensity but doesn't drop down. It knows I am clicking on it by the change in intensity, but nothing happens. It's true for all menu items. To get any to function I have to do something elsewhere, like slightly resize one of the windows (although it's not just a case of clicking anywhere - only some actions reset the menu). Then all is well for a while.
