I have been trying to create a short video that will show some video through a title. I have found a Corel Tutorial on how to do this but it seems to be for an earlier version of VS since I do not see some of the screens in X5 that are shown in the tutorial. I am still basically a beginner with some of the VS features so may have easily overlooked the process.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI ended the video on a portrait of him and added a title to appear. However, as the clip proceeds the title disappears at the end of it's bar/clip. How does one get the video to end on the photo with the title in place, or, freeze on the photo and title after the tile appears. The more I extend the title bar, it just takes longer to appear and still disappears at the end.

How do I add deadspace to the video timeline so my title text shows at the beginning? I can't figure this out. It seems so simple. I just want text at the beginning and then after 10 seconds I want my home video to start.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been unable to resolve a problem encountered when I insert a "title" to overlay on the first 30 seconds of a corresponding video clip.
When played back, the subsequent portion of the remaining video clip past 30 seconds goes missing. However, on this "missing portion" the audio portion of the video clip is present while the video portion becomes solid black to the end of the clip. The same result happens when I burn it.
In the "PROJECT" playback mode both the title and the video play fine, as do both the video and title in the "CLIP" mode.
I upgraded to VS X4 SP1 having successfully used its predecessors for many years. However, I now cannot burn a DVD as it fails in the Converting Video of the title (001/001] step.
My clips are captured by firewire from a Sony camcorder in DVI format. In this project I am using transitions, moving menus, 12 chapters and titles extensively.
My workflow is as follows: Share, Create Disc, DVD, Use first clip as introductory video is unchecked (patched dll file for Unknown Error installed), use Smart Scene Menu, Burn. Timeline is 1:26:54:22 so I select Yes to fit to DVD. PC crashes anywhere between 6 and 18 minutes later. Do not convert compliant MPEG files is checked.
I have tried various other things and can successfully burn a video under 30 min on the timeline without and transitions, chapters or menus.
My project properties are Microsoft AVI, PAL 25fps, 24 bits, 720x576, 4:3, Lower Field First, DV Video Encoder - type1
Clip properties are the same with 32000kHz, 12 bit Stereo audio as per attached file.
The converting video of the title step takes up to 30 min to complete for a 20 - 30 minute project, so seems like a proportionally high time of total job.
Is there any way to push the video in the video track after the title track is completed ....

I Have a clip which has numerous people coming out of a stretched limousine. The filming was set up for fun whereby we had about 50 people going in through one door but the camera was set up on the exit door.
How can I use the titles where I have a counting title on screen, adding up the total number of people exiting the limo?
I'm thinking along the lines of a car odometer where you see the mileage wheel rotating.

I created a video and want to insert a Hyperlink to a website at the end of the video, most likely within a title box. Is this possible? I know how to add the text/title to display the website link on the video, but I'd like the viewer to be able to click it and go to the website.

The question is how do I create long rectangular graphics on and then have them feather off at the end of the rectangle? Using this tool I wish to create a DVD with a stored project file(vsp). using the Studio Editor/tools/CreateDisc option. I then have problems with subsequent screens because the Previous/Next buttons do not display as per the documentation. Therefore I am unable to go backwards and forwards throught the wizard steps. I have attached screenshots.
I am running Window 7 64 bit Home premium. In other ways the software appears to work fine.
In an attempt to resolve the problem I have attempted to run the service pack 1 dated 2007-01-15. However this refuses to run stating that Video Studio is not installed.

I do not get this error in X4. Further, it seems I don't get this error message in all AVI files. Some are ok, others aren't. very strange indeed.

I have created my project on a laptop that does not have a DVD Burner. Should I create an MPEG file and copy it over to a desktop that has a DVD burner? Just looking for the best way burn a DVD.
I am using Video Studio Pro X2 to work with standard definition 16:9 .avi files captured from a mini dv camera.
Normally when I finish a project I just create a video file using the Same As Project Settings option to create a .avi file with no compression for playback on my PC.
I tried using the youtube uploader and was shocked how poor the video quality was...In the past I have experimented with creating a video file for youtube but my video's always appeared to be jumpy and miss frames once uploaded and took a long time to load, I read somewhere once to save the video as a HD .wmv file which did improve the picture quality a lot but didn't solve the missing frames or the long load time.
How to create a video file for youtube using Video Studio X2?
I have 50 inch 1080p TV and a media player that can play almost any format. I have VideoStudio X3 and a decent core2 PC running XP. I have a few 1 hour each video files that I captured from my sony SD camcorder few years back using Firewire. These video files are like 25GB each and not high def.
Now I have edited some of these video files but I am not sure what is the best format to use when creating video file to watch it on my HDTV. I don't need to burn disks or re-edit the files once I am done editing one time.
I have tried custom MPEG2 with 8000 bit rate and 100% quality and it looks okay but grainy on my HDTV. I tried avchd/Blu-ray and they look much smoother on HDTV however they are a bit soft and dull in colors and not as sharp as custom mpeg2.
There are so many formats like DVD mpeg2/AVCHD/HDV/Blu-ray with mpeg2 or h.264 and videostudio help did not do a good job explaining them So I would hope experts here would guide me what best quality format should I pick for these SD videos so that they look nice on my HDTV. Would picking aspect ration to 16:9 make any difference for these sd video?
I am sure when I buy an HD camcorder I would have better options to keep picture quality great.
Given that it seems to be a good idea to render VSP projects to a single video file before attempting to create a DVD through Share Create Disc, I am wondering what is the most optimal type of video file to initially render the VSP into.
The video from my camera comes in a ACVHD 1080/60i. My target final disc is either 1) standard DVD, or 2) Blu Ray. I have been rendering the VSP into a 1920x1080 AVCHD format.
I just upgraded to the X4. I never had this problem with the X3. I use a hitachi camcorder and the clips it produces are mpeg. The settings I use on the X4 are the default settings. When I place the clips on the timeline, they show up as 16:9. When I press play, they are still in 16:9 format.
However, when I create a video file using option DVD 16:9, I get the following problem. While the clip is playing, it will start as 16:9 then change to 4:3 and then back to 16:9 again and so on.
Is there a setting that I'm supposed to change. This never happened with the X3.

If all I do is clip the .avi to a 10 second output (eg .mpg, .mpg, .wmv) with no editing, I get a jerky movie (which appears to be one frame per second).
I have put up a 10 second clip here to show a sample of the jerkiness (which was created using x3) but it is the same jerkiness.

I would like to use Corel DVD Factory to "Create Video Disk". I have created my mpg (Movie Clip) vidoe file and have placed it in a "c:video" directory tree.
How can I user Corel DVD Factory to Create Disk and drag/drop my file to that application?
When I "Select Photos and Videos" it brings up the Library but it doesn't show what I want and I'm not sure how to navigate tothe .mpg file I created so that I can drag/drop to the Media Tray.
I want to create video clips on top of my bands music. I load the music track just fine. Now I have 10 or so video clips that need to be inserted in certain places on the timeline to be sync'd with the music. But everytime you bring a clip into the video row it automatically locks to the last clip entered. Why can't you place the clips of the artists playing, in the correct place in the timeline? Also isn't there a way to display the audio track as a waveform?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAll my clips are 1440 x 1080 but, for some reason, the Project Properties are 720 x 576.Don't see that as any problem providing I can select the higher quality settings when I go to create a Video File. And that's where the problem begins.If I go Share/Create Video File/Custom I can see the properties in the Save Options box are 720 x 576 and I can't change them.I've tried clicking on Options and looking under the Compression tab but my only options there are PAL DVD or NTSC DVD. I can't find any option that will let me get the file back to the original properties of 1440 x 1080.I'm NOT trying to create a DVD - just a high quality file that I can play back on my computer and on my HD TV.
