Softimage :: How To Select Rotoscope Images And Remove Them From Explorer

Jan 3, 2012

I have a quick question about how rotoscopes work in Softimage.

Basically, when I set a rotoscope image in a front viewport, for example, and I set another viewport to act as a front viewport, the rotoscope options aren't synchonized, which means I can set more than one rotoscope image for the same viewport. This gets a little confusing sometimes because I'll be unable to remove rotoscope images from the viewports because I forgot which one I originally set them in.

Is there any way to select rotoscope images and remove them from the Explorer more easily or anything like that, without having to remember the exact viewport and corresponding orientation in which they were originally set?

Lightroom :: Remove Volumes From Import -> Select A Source List

Jul 18, 2012

First, I'm using the new Lightroom v4.1 on a Windows 7 x64 system.

I'm trying (without success) to remove volumes from the list that's shown when a user clicks on the 'Import' button (lower left of screen) and 'Select a source' which, naturally, shows all the drives in my system.

There are five volumes; four internal and one external.

There are only two drives which contain photos that I'm interestered in importing/editing.

The other drives contain files that I have no interest in editing or organizing.

For example, several hundred (scanned and collected) very old family photos that I wish to keep pristine, with no editing of any kind. As for placing them in collections,  I already have them in dated, carefully named folders.

So, as this is a shared computer, I want to remove the volumes (drives) so that the aforementioned photos can't be inadvertantly imported.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Select Crop Tool To Remove Section Of Image?

Dec 3, 2013

Just wondering if I'm missing something when I select the crop tool to remove a section of a image.  Is there any way to move the marquee around as if it was a square converted to curves...just move the handles to say a triangle?  I know I can powerclip to any curve design I can create..it just looks as if you can use the handles to flip, rotate, etc..

Windows 7 64 bit, Intel Xeon 3.30GHz, 32GB memory, ATI FirePro V4800, (1)10,000 Velosirapptor internal HD, (1) internal 1TB HD, (1) 500GB external HD (2) external 3TB HDs, (2) HP z6200 printers, (1) OKI 9650 printer (1) Roland Camm1 Pro vinyl cutter

Photoshop :: Rotoscope "fringing"

Feb 16, 2006

I've composited 16 rendered frames to simulate movement. I did this by rendering one still of the entire scene, and then rendering 24 frames of the arm and boot ONLY in motion against a green screen. Then I overlayed the whole thing in CS, used the magic wand to select all the green screen in each layer, deleted that, adjusted the layer transparency, and then, when everything was set up, flattened the layers. The problem I ran into was this, a green "fringe" around the arm and boot on each layer that'd been green screened. I wound up having to set the magic wand tolerance to 175 to get the majority of the green, but that also ate some edge detail that I would rather not have lost. Is there a way around this?? It occured to me that maybe rendering an alpha image of each green screened frame to use as a mask might do the trick, but I don't have the software to automate such a process, or the time to do it manually.

Lightroom :: How To Remove Images From Set To Be Republished

Jul 5, 2010

1. How do I prevent it from downloading Flickr comments to Lightroom?

2. How do I remove images from the set to be republished?   It keeps republishing images and deleting the text I've entered on Flickr.  I want to decide if and when images are to be republished.

3. How do I remove images from the set to be deleted from Flickr? Trying to find a way to do #2, I checked "remove from collection" -- thinking it would remove the image from the to-be-republished set, and instead it put the image in the set to be deleted it from Flickr. I saw it sitting in that set and couldn't figure out how to prevent it.

In short, how do I manage the images that are pending for Flickr publishing?

Need better control AND better instructions on how to handle this functionality.  It's  nice to not have to publish to Flickr separately, but I'm about to give up on this -- the defaults are messing up my Flickr stream!

Lightroom :: Select / Identify Unadjusted Images

May 22, 2013

I sometimes go through my images in a randome order, adjusting the most promising and then going back to some of the others later. I'd love a way to isolate those images that  I haven't touched, so that I can quickly find them and finish them up.

I tried a Smart Collection eliminating recent images that had been cropped or "adjusted". That should have done it. However, Lightroom doesn't consider local adjustments like the paint brush or gradient filter to be adjustments, so those images remain in the collection, even though I have "adjusted" them with a local filter or brush.

Is there any way to isolate images that have not been adjusted in any way?

Photoshop :: Batch / Automate Remove Color From Images

Jun 9, 2012

I would like to remove a very specific bold yellow from some images. I want to automate this by throwing this into photoshop's automate tool and running over hundreds and hundreds of images. I have no problem creating the macro, the problem is that my image doesn't contain this yellow color (some of them do not), the 'select' action doesn't work so any subsequent actions fail.

What I have tried:

* Select the color and fill with white. If the color doesn't exist, the entire image gets filled.
* Select the color and cut, then replace background layer with plain white -- If the color doesn't exist, get error that 'cut' action isn't available.
* Force a yellow stroke somewhere on the image to try and remove it later -- Can't record brush strokes with PS!!!

Are their 'conditional' actions? There must be a way to do this, but I can't bring up anything on the web.

Lightroom :: Intermittently Can't Select Images In Grid View

Jun 19, 2012

having just purchased version 4.1 a few days ago.  I've imported about 2,500 RAW image files into the program and am learning the ropes for developing and organizing them.

The problem I'm having is that much of the time I'm unable to select photos in the grid view.  When I place the mouse pointer over a square in the grid containing a photo, I expect it to "light up" and display the icons for flagging/rotating/rating the photo.  In practice, this doesn't happen most of the time and grid squares that won't "light up" cannot be selected.  As I move the mouse around the grid, the occasional grid square will act as expected but most of the others will not.  The behavior seems random -- a grid square that acts properly one moment may not respond the next time I mouse over it, and other grid squares that were unresponsive may now act as expected.

I've tried pausing over the image for an extended period of time in case this is a performance issue, but if a grid square doesn't light up when I first put the mouse pointer over it then leaving the pointer on it won't get it to respond.  If I move the pointer elsewhere on the grid and then bring it back, the square may or may not react.

My setup:

4-core Mac Pro
5GB of memory
Mac OS 10.7.4

Photoshop :: Remove Color From Images To Prepare Them For Being Auto-traced In AI?

Sep 20, 2012

I want to remove color from images to prepare them for being autotraced in AI.

Is there an advantage to using Image > Mode > Grayscale  vs. Image>Adjustments>desaturate vs. Image>Adjustments>hue saturation and dropping down the saturation vs.

Image>Adjustments>Threshold for this purpose?

Do these all generally do the same thing, or would one of these result in a better job of turning my image to black and white with higher contrast?
