I recently reinstalled Revit architecture 2011 and now I am unable to save any work. When I save or save as, Revit simply freezes. If I hit esc it returns to a functioning status without saving. It is a Network License on single license server, if that makes any difference.

- very very very often freeze on File/New...
- very often freeze on File/Save for Web...
I bought update from CS5.5 to CS6 but at this moment Ai CS6 is absolutely unusable for me. I'm back to Ai CS5 and everything works ok. How is possible that older version works like a charm on Mac OS X 10.8.1 on Mac Pro (Early 2008) than never version CS6?
Getting used to using tiled viewports, and wondering how to keep the viewports from reshuffling/resizing on a temporary basis, so I don't have to keep manually resizing them whnever I, say, maximize one view to work on it. When done working in one maximized tiled workspace, I'd like to return to the previous orientation of the tiles. Right now, I have to manually resize/reorient the tiles. Any suggesitons on how I can return to a "preferred tile format"? For instance, I might want a plan view, two elevations, and a 3-D, with some tiles larger than others, to return to reglarly after maximizing one to work in temporarily.

Every time I use the drop down menu to select unit to save OR open a file, it freezes and then all the programbecomes not responding (have to force close from windows utility).
when I try to edit group or save group as separate Revit file, Revit crashes. Sometimes, it keep processing the 'save' but the group doesn't get saved; doesn't show in the folder.

There are so many things we've created in Revit Arch 2012 that we can't use when an older drawing comes up again. I know we should upgrade the .rvt to the newest version, but that's not how it works where I work. In my backwards company we do things the hard way, so for people like us, it would be nice to just save the .rfa as Revit Arch 2011 or 2010 etc. even if some of the stuff doesn't transfer, the attributes would.

1.- I started a new drawing, changed the project unit settings (manage>project units> etc...)
2.- I saved the new drawing as a template
3.- I started a new drawing from the previous template I created in step 2, but doesn't keep the units as I set up.
I have adjusted my North Elevation (using View Graphics) exactly the way I’d like it to look in elevation, and would now like to apply those same visibility adjustments to my other elevations. Is there a way I can save that view as a template and apply to other elevations, or do I instead need to create a view template, make all the adjustments to that template, then apply the template to the elevations?

Month ago, I installed Photoshop cs6 extended on my windows 8 machine. My probelm is simply the following; everytime I run cs6 my whole computer get frozen, so I have to go and force the shoutdown, like cutting the power. Sometimes I get lucky and photoshop works, then for some reason it freezes again.
I reinstalled it many times, I even reinstalled windows 8. I started to feel that this frequent crashes are even curropting my windows 8 files, in a point that windows 8 sometimes cant get to load from the first time so I hae to repair it. Windows 8 by the way works great with me, until I install and use photoshop. Now I have got a load of work that I cannot do because I cannot run Photoshop properly.

Have run Norton utilities, disc opti., spybot, uninstalled/reinstalled.
When working in CS2 about every 10 minutes or so i'll go into my menu bar and it's locked up. No menu's drop down. The toolbox and all the tools and all keyboard shortcuts work but that's it. When I click on file, edit, etc. nothing happens. I have to ctrl+s and close Photoshop. A real pain in the ass. Adobe was no help so I'm reaching out to all you good people. My system is clean is any viruses, spyware and ad ware. I have no other problems of any kind and I'm working with small files (avg. 2 megs) with plenty of RAM (512 MB)

I am runing 3D studio max 2010 Design on Windows 8 and it does one strange thing all the time. It starts all right but then it freezes one part of the programe on the screen and there is nothing i can do to unfreeze it, unlease you restart the programm, as long as you use the program, it will get few parts freezing acrross the screen! in the screen shot belove you will see that the boxes marked with black colour are actually freezed pixels, i can move around the project and i can use it as it is ok and click all buttons, but its like there is an image infront of me that i can't get rid of!

View 9 Replies View Relatedwe discovered a potential bug or issue in photoshop:under daily working conditions, 8h per day, during the last months/year i can observe the following behavior:suddenly, at any action, the photoshop interface (all palettes, windows, everything) freezes and doesnt react on any mouse or button command. can wait for minutes, nothing happens.
found workaround: switch to finder by clicking with mouse pointer into the finder desktop,and switch back to photoshop > interface is back and reacts again, everythings fine. condition of bug: very annoying but can live with it so far through my workaround frequenzy: several times a day (up to 20 or 30 times per day)
