How can I connect two computers in sync with the Autodesk 360? So when you change the properties of an item element in one computer to another feature of the modified element synchronized.
View 1 RepliesI've already downloaded the 2013 Service Pack 1 for this problem but I still get the popup message every half hour or so (see attached image).
I only used the service for a render once with Revit Architecture 2013. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.
Is it possible to sync the catalogs for lightroom 5 between two computers?
View 2 Replies View Relatedquick and convenient way to keep projects in step between computers, e.g. doing some work on a laptop and then bringing that back to a main PC for further editing, then back to laptop, etc.? Is exporting as a Smart Package the way to go? Are there any alternatives such as keeping a consistent folder structure on both machines so that all media paths are the same and just syncing the differences?

For example, I use LR4.2 on a desktop and on a laptop. Both computers (Windows 7 64bit) access the same image folders. On my laptop in a folder I have 42 master images and 5 virtual (soft proofs) images for a total of 47 images. But when I open LR4.2 on the desktop I don't see the 5 virtual (soft proofs) on the 42 master images.
Why can't I see the 5 virtual proofs since I am accessing the exact folder and how can I see the virtual proofs created on the laptop at the desktop.

At my office we have 4 work computers connected to a server with all the projects and other information there. Is there a way to use the server some how to use all the computers to render an image?

How is the best way to keep sync with clips that have audio. In Premiere for example, when a clip contains audio it handles both video and audio as a single thing until I explicitly unlink them. But in Smoke, even with the option Select linked, which as far as I can tell it only works for selecting and activate that little arrow (do not remember the name of the function) in the tracks table, keeps all ok but only on that track.
This is the normal operation of Smoke? He really will always treat the audio and video of same clip as separate things? Am I missing something? Because at least for me, that's came from Premiere, always be remembering to set all the tracks and always go to the menu and select Enable linked is what most complicates the editorial work in Smoke.
I have been running PR5 for a while and everything has been stable. Today Smoke locked up and I had to force quit. After the force quit I have been unable to start Backburner. If I try to export I get this message:
Cannot connect to Backburner Manager. localhost:Backburner: Connection Refused.
If I open Smoke Prefs and try to toggle the Backburner Manager box I get the following:
Backburner Configuration: Unable to switch to localhost. Connection Refused
I have tried re-starting Backburner in the Service Monitor and each time it will turn green for 10-20 seconds and then turn red. I have also double checked that the Manager Hostname in Smoke Setup is set to localhost. I have checked my Network settings and only Airport is active, using DHCP and IPv6 is set to off. I have uninstalled PR5 and installed PR6 but still have had no luck.
Oddly if I type sudo nano/usr/discreet/backburner/Network/backburner.xml into terminal I get "command not found". Similarly if I type ping hostname I get "cannot resolve hostname: Unknown Host"
i am trying to understand how to work in the connect fx mode, but one thing that seems to be completely eluding me is why the output going to my broadcast monitor (via Kona3) is showing only the output from the left window when in CFX (currently Connect FX schematic), and not the final video.
My mac screen has a 2 up view showing the CFX Schematic on the left and the CFX Result on the right.
Is there any way that i can use the two windows on the mac screen without affecting what is feeding the broadcast monitor? I really want a system that always shows me the final output on the broadcast monitor, with everything else happening on the mac screen.
I have footage that contains GS footage. I also have a graphic I want to put behind the two. I can achieve this with a vertical comp in my time line and the timeline axis effect. But when I try to connect the two with CFX I get an error and my footage looks wonky.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from AJA K3 to a BMD Decklink HD Extreme.
Initial testing went reasonably well - working at 1080psf23.98 - output was solid, tape layoffs and captures were frame accurate on short tests.
I'm finishing up a long form 48 minute show, and the audio sync drifts over the course of the layoff. It's about 1 frame per 10 min of content.
By 47:30+00, my audio is 5 frames early during Tape Output - a sync pop is at 47:29+19 - but picture is spot on. Usually I'm working in short form TVCs, so I may have never noticed this - but it's definitely a problem for longer work.
To hit my delivery, I exported a ProRes QT, and laid off from FCP - kind of humiliating to have to depend on FCP for tape workflows.
I also had problems batch capturing from 1080i tape - it could do individual clips if I manually set ins and outs, but Batch Capture never cued up properly in 1080i - it kept rolling back and forth over the cue point, tried 10 times, then gives it up.
I've done this a hundred times with the AJA card and never had a problem - but the BMD is not nearly as solid... (Also performed the Batch Capture in FCP without issues - so the hardware and BMD software seem to be working fine - but not with Smoke.)

I've tried to export from Smoke 2013 and it tells me i can't connect to BackBurner Manager.
In the service monitor, the BackBurner is showing red - (tho the Manager is green) if I restart it goes green for a moment and then stops again.
I've also got a problem importing footage using 'Create Project Media' I get a message cannot connect to backburner manger on port -1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe GUI and broadcast monitors in all 3 of our Smokes (Mac) are out of sync by 2 frames.
I know there is a Audio offset, but that will always throw one of the monitors out.
Is there a playback delay or offset that can be used to sync bother the UI monitor and the Broadcast Monitor?
Currently having to use the shortcut Shift+B+F13 to switch between Sync to Hi-Res and Sync to Broadcast depending on the situation.
i'd love to see a tutorial on how to sync externally recorded sound to clips.

When trying to open the Connect FX editor, I get the following error on all connect FXs: "The Connect FX has lost its setup and can no longer rendered or edited."
inside CFX, when i move node in a network with a lot of nodes, sometime when i drop the node, i can accidentally connect it to wrong node, as there will be a lot of connection line in that area. So is there any way i can disable this autoconnect feature temporarily ?

We have some large files (600 MB +) we need to sync and update. The issue we are finding is the initial download of the files takes a very long time and we want to know if it is possible to take a copy of the file from the central via USB/Disk and place it onto the local server or the local user? Then start editing and get the sync to work with only file changes. Is this possible and if so where do I copy the file to once I have it at my local site?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe beam is continuous. The connection details are not important. They're some kind of plate welded to the beam and bolted through the column web. I don't need it to be able to do structural calculations.
Join won't select a structural column or beam. Align creates a rotation error because of the beam's pitch. The column height appears to only change by the Level, but again the beam is pitched. Setting the height above the beam breaks the beam.

I currently have a situation in white my stair handrail mid post wont connect to my stair stringer. I have a C10 stair stringer and am using a modified typer square handrail system I have made. I am sure there is a setting or preference I have missed that is causing this. I have attached an image for reference.
ALSO in the image you can see the top rail does not fully attach to the end post. It sits in the middle somehow. AND that end post sits halfway off the stringer.
I am using Lightroom 4.4 on a 2013 Macbook Air OS 10.8.4.
I cannot see the Switch enables auto sync on the Metadata sync button. Its currently visible on another machine a MacPro with Lightroom v4.3. I find this useful to be bale quickly enable and disable the syncing of metadata. Has this been dropped in v4.4 or have I missed a prefs setting somewhere?
I am trying to adjust two D800 files simultaniously. Thus I select both images, toggle the Sync button to the Auto Sync state.
But, the adjustments done to the most selected image do not copy over to the other image, while this is the expected behaviour.

i have been a long user of romcat... but would like to use the new corel connect. i use the folders selected to my HD folder that has all my cdr files (20yrs worth from ver 1). when i type in a search word that is in 100's of my cdr files keywords... connect doesnt display them. In romcat it does display them, even older files, with the same key word. connect only shows cdr files that have in its file name part of the search word, but seems to ignore the key words in the files.
I have all my job files with important key words within them, but the actual file names are simple job numbered names. i noticed on searches from X5 content on dvd, the files also are just numbers, but the search finds key words.
My computer crashed and now I cannot get on any of my autodesk programs. I am in need of the programs to finish all my homework due next week. Revit comes into a view mode and says:
4)autodesk revit architecture 2012 build 20110309_2315(x64) License unavailable. A license is required to run autodesk architecture 2012 on this computer. Autodesk Revit architecture is in viewer mode.
When I open the program I get a pop up that says Autodesk Revit has stopped working. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it. I am not sure what happened because it was working fine about a week ago then it stopped working all of sudden. I did a system restore to when I thought it worked last and nothing.
