Revit :: Stuck Inside Sheet Template Schedule Editor

In customizing a sheet template, I entered into a "Schedule: Revision Schedule". I made the minor adjustments, but can not get back to the sheet template.
The 'Project Browser' only has "Schedules" under 'Views'. (refer to attached image) I know the rest of the content from the sheet (eg. titleblock) are still in the file, as it still is present when I "Load into Project".
How do you exit the schedule editor from a sheet template file?

I've been trying to style my sheet list schedule. ... trying.Is it true that I can't
* style (fontsize, fontweight etc) a 'sorting header'?
* style the scheduleborder to only underline the sheetlist-rows
* seperate the header styles from sheetlist styles? (I don't want the header to have a border.... while sheetlist-row should be underlined)
* format the height of a row

I have a student who added Note Schedules on a Sheet, then right clicked on one of them and "Hide in View-Element". Now it shows on the Properties as being on the Sheet, but we can't seem to Unhide it.

I am working on the template for my company and making all the styles, labels, etc all consistent to our company standards. This also includes our standards layer names. There are 2 layers that I can't get rid of because they are in use somewhere. C-ROAD-CNTR-STAN and O_PROF-VIEW-TEXT both of these layers do not meet our standards and I can't get rid of them. I went through every style and label to see if I could find where they were being used, but couldn't find them anywhere. I made sure I check the layers for plan, profile, model and section on the display tab of each style.
Since there are so many styles to go through I wanted to try to narrow it down, so I started a new drawing from the template. I purged all of the styles, purged the layers, but they were still there. I set the object layers all to 0. I made sure that every label style default setting was also set to 0. Then I even created all new styles and labels for everything, did a "replace with" and made sure only the new styles were in use, removed the old styles and did a purge. But these layers still are being used somewhere. I tried using LAYTRANS to translate them into the 0 layer, but it doesn't work. There are no blocks in the drawing that are using these layers.
The only command that works to get rid of them is LAYDEL, but doing that makes me concerned that a setting may not have a layer set up for it and it may cause problems in the future.
Attached is a dwg file that I have stripped down as described above. I am using Civil 3D 2012, SP 2. Where a layer is in use? How you can now find where a style is in being referenced?

We've been working with adding schedule tags in paper space for objects nested within an xref. The first time you do this however, the manual properties (it seems) do not update if the value of the manual property is changed back in the xref dwg. However, the Automatic properties do seem to update.
When we initially found this we past it off as a limitation. However, one of our users was experimenting and found that the first time you tag the xref resident object... the schedule tag reads the correct manual properties value. However, If you remove the property set from the schedule tag... then the manual property will update correctly showing the current value as it is back in the xref dwg even if it is changed.
This makes complete sense as the manual property set data can be edited from either the tag or the object or from the schedule... IF THE TAG and the object are resident in the same drawing file - in this case you DO NOT want to delete the property set from the tag... if you do this the property set is also removed from the object. However, when tagging objects nested within an xref, then you need to remove the property set from the tag... THEN the manual property will update correctly.

I have a problem where I am unsure if my upgraded template is incompatible with Revit 2013 or is there something else at play.
If I create a precast stair in default template I get "end with riser" turned on automaticaly. If I copy that stair to my template and create new stair, "end with riser" is turned off and I manually have to adjust stair afterwards.
Problem is "end with riser" is now an instance parameter of stairs and I can't find where to change the default value.
Why is the stair type that works in default template stuffed when copied to my template?

While publishing several drawings I am having problems creating Single Sheets, (a customer preference). Even though I have the Multi-sheet/Single-sheet setting set to "Single" Autocad still creates a multi-sheet PDF. I am using Autocad 2012.

Im trying to change the table style formatting and nothing seems to stick. I want to turn the border off in the title cell and only use a thick underline.
I change the schedule cell, save changes to the style and Ive tried saving as a new style but when I reinsert the cell format is gone. Back to the out of the box state.
Also, when I save the OTB style to my new A3 Sheet Keynote style the new style doesnt match what was saved.

We have a custom built schedule which has the typical "Comments" field. As we aork in our project and add items to that particular row, the "Comments" field gets reset to be blank.
What we are trying to do in effect is to establish a reference point so the we know where we are in relative to the reference point.
Is there a way to make the "Comments" field stick?

I am creating a website template which usually consists of a HEADER, FOOTER, (perhaps a LEFT, RIGHT) and a CONTENT center region. What I am CURRENTLY been doing is the following:
Let's say I am working on a Decoder page called Decoder.psd and in order to create the website layout, I create 5 folders in the layers pallete which contain the contents of each region of the layout.
1. HEADER
2. FOOTER
3. LEFT
4. RIGHT
5. CONTENT
Now SURE I can ignore the header, footer... but it makes it MUCH EASIER to work with designing wise when I can see exactly what the finish product will look like in realtime in the same screen. Unfortuntely there is a DISADVANTAGE to this which hense the reason for this posting. If I decide I want to change something in the ie. Header and footer design, I would have to edit each of the psd files individually and basically copy/paste the HEADER and FOOTER layer pallete folders so each of my template pages are updated.
What I am wonder is if there is a way to have say a DECODER.PSD file which only had the contents of the decoder deisgn in the layers pallete, and then be able to SHOW other layer contents (or perhaps just the end result) of another psd file in the design workspace?
Similar to how a FRAME would work in html. You have each layout seperated into individual html files (in this case individual psd files for each part of the layout regions) and DISPLAY other html pages (in this case, other psd contents) in specific areas of the page (In this case the workspace).

I am trying to add the typical category of "glazing" to a door schedule, but when I add a door with glass into my project, I cannot make this information show up on my schedule. I need typical information such as "!/4" Temp" and "1" Insul" under the category of glazing. I added the "Door: Glass" heading in the schedule, but nothing appears when I add a glass door into the project. I was able to easily do this in AutoCAD Architecture.

also i want to know how the graphical column and beam works...
then setting the level in the schedule to make them reflect instead of using the comments section...

I am fairly new to my current employment. Their default for door thickness in the schedule does not suppress zero feet. Every dimension under the thickness column reads 0'-2" instead of just 2" or whatever the thickness may be. I could just make a new parameter, but I was hoping to edit the current thickness parameter.

So I've created a door schedule and added all the parameters I needed. But to get the "room name" to list and be associated with the door tags I had to choose either if the doors were going to a room or from a room, so I chose to, however, some of the doors swing are leaving the room so instead of tagging them with the corridor we want them associated with the room. But I can't edit the column the room names are in. If I click on a cell it gives me a drop menu on the side of what I can choose for that cell and it doesn't have the listed room that I need. It does not let me just type in the cell is there a way to fix this?! The blue highlighted name shows my option of what I can list as the room name or I can leave it blank, it lets me click inside the cell as if I could just put text in it but it actually doesn't show anything that I type.

When splitting a schedule, the title of the schedule shows up above each of the columns created. Is there a way of having it so that when you slit a schedule in multiple columns, the title centeres over the entire view and shows itself only once instead of once over each column?

I want to be able to add rooms through the schedule prior to placing them in the model. I thought I would be able to do that by going to the Modify Schedule/ Quanties Tab and clicking New in the Rows columns but the new option is blanked out and not selectable.

We have tested the difference between wall material take off and material part take off of the same wall.the wall consist of 20mm render, 230mm brick and 30mm tile. Both give the same result.If we join a beam with the wall however, the wall material take off will give different result than the material part take off.The wall finishes in the material part schedule are correct, the ones in the wall matrial take off are off by 53%.
Please see attached file and "unjoin" the beam to the wall to see that both quantities are the same.Interestingly, the total volume of both schedules is almost identical, it is the subdivision that is completely off.
When setting up the material take off manually the material part take off is correct.I suspect I do something wrong. 53% off is not even usable when doing concept.
