Revit :: Edit Group Box Disappeared - 2011?
Jun 17, 2010When I'm in the Group Edit mode, the box disappeared and I have no way to close the group. This is in Revit Architecture 2011.

Lightroom :: Prompt Disappeared For RAWs Edit Original Or Edit A Copy?
Dec 16, 2013I'm running on LR 5.3, but this problem persisted in LR 5.2. Working in PS CS6 and Camera Raw 8.3. RAWs are NEFs from a Nikon D600.
I can't figure out what happened but suddenly I am not getting prompts when moving from LR to PS to "Edit Original" or "Edit a Copy".
I reset all dialog warnings and nothing. The prompt will appear for TIFFs but not for NEFs.
It's kind of pointless to not be able to choose to edit an original or copy with LR adjustments for a RAW when they are the file types that retain my RAW editing information.
Plus, when I do click on a NEF and choose to edit in PS without the prompt (it will appear with lightroom adjustments, not as original), it will open a second icon for photoshop on my dock, and prompt me to continue trial? I have a version of PS installed with the serial plugged in, and in LR "edit in PS" for a TIFF will open this primary version.

GIMP :: 2.6.11 - Cannot Edit Text (2011)
Mar 21, 2011I am using Gimp version 2.6.11 under Mac OS X version 10.4.11.
I am having a problem that is driving me to distraction: When I close a file and open it again, it is impossible to edit the text. Please note that before saving the file, I have no problems editing the text--so I have already passed hurdle.
It wouldn't be so bad if it was just a word or two, but I am in a situation where I will have to delete several paragraphs of text and re-type them in order to fix a small typo. With my typing skills, it is likely that I will make another typo in the process. And, of course, I don't remember what font I was using, or the type size, etc. etc.
AutoCAD .NET :: Menu Group Edit Not Saving?
Jul 17, 2011Why my menu group is not saving in the following code.
The following code adds a menu item to the Toolbar Test in a menu group named TEST. However when I exit and re-enter AutoCAD the menu is not saved. I have also tried saveas with no luck.
I am compiling the code **** a .net dll and then running it via lisp.

Revit :: Certain Commands Have Disappeared From Ribbon
Feb 27, 2014As of just a few hours ago, certain commands have disappeared from my ribbon. Example: when modifiying wall, i get no options for lines, same issue for modifiying floor shapes, i can get to the edit mode, but then i essentially have no options after that. Also, the check or the reject changes option has disaapeared.....meaning the only way out of the command is to undo. This literally has just occured within the last couple of hours. I tried resetting the ribbon, but nothing really happened exect locational changes.

Oct 1, 2011I imported a scanned drawing into Revit and traced it. I put the walls and floors in, then was inserting doors. I tried to find a particular door, but found I clicked on the wrong door and closed Revit instead of the screen I was in. However, when I brought Revit back up, I could no longer see any Floorplan, but my 3d was still visible. How do I retrieve or make visible Level 1 or 2? (When I tile the Floorplan Level 1 and the 3D drawing, my 3d drawing will turn blue if I box in the blank area on my Floorplan screen, so I assume it must still be there).
The other question I need answered is how to insert the geometric figure/camera that shows each side of an elevation? When I imported my scanned drawing, it was much larger than the area within the four “eyeballs”, but I have tried moving it and don’t see them.

Aug 27, 2013I have 3 objects A, B, C, I group them together, apply a drop shadow.Now, let's say I need to resize or reposition one of them, I'm unable to select the particular object.
It's suppose to work with Alt+Ctrl+Click, but it doesn't.I always end up with editing the drop shadow rather than selecting the object. It's very trouble some needing to discard the drop shadow, make the changes, and re-apply the drop shadow.

Revit :: Material Asset Library Disappeared?
Feb 26, 2013I created a material asset library for the company I work for with all of our materials in it. I was making adjustments earlier today to the library and now when I open it nothing shows up. It claims there is nothing in my file but yet the file size is 58,118 kb. How to get it back without having to completely redo the whole library!?

May 19, 2011I'm seeing weird behavior in C3D 2011 that I never saw in previous versions.Sometimes when I select a Cogo Point and attempt to edit the Raw Description from the Properties window, C3D changes the description to all lower-case letters, and it will not let me key in any upper-case letters. If I select the point -> Edit Points, I can edit the description in Panorama without problems. It's only in the Properties window that it refuses to accept anything other than uppercase letters.
This issue only happens sometimes. Sometimes, I'm able to edit descriptions from the Properties window with no problem. Other times, C3D changes the existing description to all lowercase letters, and refuses to allow me to enter anything but lowercase letters.what causes it, and ideally some way to get C3D 2011 to stop behaving like this?

1. If I user ColorIndex the colors are transfered from RGB => Color Index 0-255 giving slightly incorrect colors, this is what I use and have a VBA match the colors in AutoCAd, but unfortunatley I have a family where some objects are "correct" colors, but some object in the family just get wierd color and whatever I do I just can't get all of them to have the same. This uses the layers and properties file to define some colors.
2. If I use TrueColors in the export only the objects that have true colors set in the override, everything else is white. This does not as far as I can tell use the layers and properties file to define colors not set in the view manually.
I would like to have the Exported DWG use the same TrueColors as in the drawing with in the Revit Drawing, but apparently it is not possible.
AutoCAD Inventor :: 2011 - IProperties And Edit Derived Part Dialogs Not Appearing
Feb 18, 2013I've occasionally run into a problem where when I right-click at the root of the browser tree and select iProperties, the dialog will not show. The application acts as if the dialog is active (in particular, Windows makes an annoying ding every time I try to click somewhere on the Inventor UI) but I cannot see it. If I recall correctly, this only affected some files, and I could usually get around it by opening the dialog from the main menu rather than from the browser.
Now I am experiencing something similar with the Derived Part dialog. After I select a part file to derive from, the dialog for selecting individual elements never actually appears on the screen, but Inventor seems to think it's there, as the part I am deriving from is displayed in the viewport and the browser tree is locked out. Again, it seems as if the dialog is active but invisible: If I press Enter, I get a derived part, and if I press Escape, the preview disappears and nothing new is put in the browser. Of course, I can't choose which elements of the base part I want to derive from. Right-clicking the derived part entry in the browser and selecting "Edit derived part" produces the same result -- evidently, an invisible dialog box.
I am running Inventor 2011 SP2.

Feb 19, 2014I have set 2 parameters in the Family Editor so they 'Group Under' Dimensions, yet when I load into a project (that the family object has been deleted out of via the Project Browser), I find instead they are Grouped under 'Other'.
One of the offending objects attached.
I've done this 2 ways, once by opening within Revit the Family Editor, making the change and then loading back into the file, only to find nothing has changed, and also then by again opening up in the family editor from Revit to find ditto; and separately by opening up the file directly in Explorer and then loading into the open project.
Not an enormous problem, just annoying as I want to group Dimensions parameters naturally enough under Dimensions!

May 3, 2013I have an issue with a view. I am unable to select my model groups with in a specific view. When I go to select a group all that is selected is an item in that group, not the entire group. There must be a setting that is turned off, as other views I can grab entire groups. Currently I have to open a 3-D view and select the group I wish to edit or change, instead of being able to select that same group on the 5th floor of my building. ( I can select the same group on the 4th floor, but I don't see any diference between the two floors?)
