Can you make a halftone hatch? Or a region where you can adjust transparency?
For example in plan view. I want to add a filled hatch region there but also want to let objects behind the hatch to be visible too.... halftone.
In printing the hatch region becomes non-halftone, I think? Or is there somehow possible to remain it? Greyscale printing perhaps?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a Window with adjustable colonial and prairie grids. I have created many windows like this so I know I am able to do it. I am currently working on creating the colonial grids. I have it partially working. I can adjust the height and the grids will move correctly with the window with no problems. But when I try to adjust the width I get the error "constraints are not satisfied" I have no idea why I keep getting this error message because to me this should work and I have run into this same problem multiple different times. Why can I adjust the height and not width?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe would like to make the transparency of glass-materials visible in views and section-views by using the "realistic style". During a 3d-view our glass-material looks like transparent. Isn't it possible for REVIT to display the transparency of materials in views ?
The workaround to hide "glass" by using "overriding visibility" is not possible for us because some of our families and project families are using glass-materials inside (Showcases f.e.).

Adobe Illustrator question: How do you make halftone 3D? As in not just different sizes of circles, but contour the ellipses to the grid of the shape. The Warp tool sort of does this but I need a more precise method. Also the result needs to be in vector.

When I do it using Effects/pixilate/color haltone it makes multiple colored halftones, whereas I just want one color. And when I change the channel's it comes up with similar results.
I'm using autocad lt 2012 in office. my hatch transparency effect is not working. no matter what the transparency is 25, 60. 100. the transparency effect doesn't show up. what should i do ?

I'm having problems with creating PDF's and transparency hatching using DWG to PDF.pc3.
The PDF does show transparency but has a fine lined pattern at intervals in the hatched area, it does print just fine though with no evidence of the lined pattern. Only problem is most of our work is supplied as high quality PDF.
I prefer to use DWG to PDF.pc3 due to the excellent quality of the PDF. I have played with modified Adobe PDF.pc3 to mostly remove the lines from the hatch but quality suffers in the bitmapping of the document.
I am using AutoCAD Map3D 2011 and AutoCAD 2011 on a windows 7 boxes and Acrobat X Pro. I get this problem with normal solid hatching and SHP file polygon transparency.
Are they any secret/magic settings to fix solid hatch transparency using DWG to PDF.pc3?
I'm using Autocad 2012. I've created a 3D model, one of the components of the solids model, I've assigned a transparency value t which appears in the model, and in the orthographic layout view, and plotted as I need and expect it to. The problem I'm having is that in other layout views, other components include a Dots hatch (I've inserted this dots hatch pattern in both paper and model space in attempt to fix the problem). This Dots hatch appears as I need and expect on the computer screen, but when I plot the layout drawing this hatch pattern plots transparent too, even though it resides on completely different layer than the solid component that I do want transparent. I want the hatch pattern to plot opaque, not transparent (in other words the dots appear very, very light....almost invisible when I plot).

With transparencydisplay=1 I create hatch with transparency (for example) 80%, I save file and I close it. When I re-open the same file hatch have transparency 0%. What's the problem?

I try to plot to dwf and after plot to pdf use a third part plot pdf like pdf995, arcplot, and others, but the problem its the same.

When I export this model to AutoCAD, I am getting inconsistancies of my new work walls. Some of my new walls are coming in ACAD with solid hatch, others have no hatch at all. At this point I do not care if all my new walls have any hatch or not, as long as the heavier lineweights come through to make them different from existing walls and that they are all consistant. I've been searching on this for a few days now and have come up with nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a very strange issue that appears in the Materials editor within Revit 2013 Update Release 3. If I change a surface or cut hatch pattern within the editor, and then attempt to close out of the editor, go to a different material, or apply the change, the hatch dialog pops right back up again, as if I never closed it. I have found two ways to get out of this obnoxious loop:
1. Use the 'esc' key to back out of the materials dialog (unfortunately no changes are saved).
2. Change the color of the hatch - this allows for the changes to be applied etc.
I've tried resetting the UI and reinstalling Revit to no avail.

I want to change the pattern of wood planking that goes horizontally to go vertically (in plan view).
Is it possible to get the wall fill pattern to show up in plan view but not in a specific section view? I tried the detail levels, Course, medium, fine, and of course the hatch pattern doesn't show up in course, but then the wall components don't show up either.
I am in a section view where i want to show a repeated cmu detail component up the wall as part of a detail, but then the hatch pattern is displayed behind it. I don't want to remove the hatch pattern entirely because I still want it to be displayed in the plan view.
It appears transparency overide (by element or by category) won't be printed from any floor plan views in Revit 2013. Tried elevation/ section/ ceiling plans. all ok. it seems to me that is a bug.
The work around is to switch the view to wireframe.
I work with Autodesk Map 3D and I was wondering if the latter provides a bar scale that will adjust automatically to the size of the plotting paper.
