Photoshop :: Round Edge Rectangle Tool,

Using PS7 and the round edge rectangle tool...is there an easy way to save the "selection" as a round edge image?
is there a way to place the rounded corner selection onto a transparent canvas ?
I do not have the time or skills to attempt this without the round edge tool.

With Gimp you can round the corners of a square or rectangle using two functions: the problem is that doing so all four corners will be rounded, while I am interested in only the two upper corners. Here's an example of what I would do.

I have a rectangle and I need to drag the bottom corners up, leaving the centre section in place to create a curve along the bottom edge.
What I don't want is to create a mask to hide the bottom corners, as I need the image on the left and right edges to compress as I drag it up.

When I use the Marquee tool, or the single row marquee I have perfect borders in my forms, but when instead I use the rectangle tool, the line tool or the elipse tool I have these strange borders that are not well delimited.
I have already deleted the default settings, but still continues the same.

I am attempting to re-create a product my company sells and I've got everything finished but two things - rounding the four corners of my rectangle and getting my 2D text to render in my view port. I've already converted to an editable poly but I can't seem to pick the right options - I know the edge or vertices need to be chamfered.

I'm working on a lj mood theme and I learned how to create round corners - basically I create a new tranparent image, go to modify - > smooth (5px) and then paste the original image. It works fine!, until I try to add a border using the stroke tool - the corners don't get the border, as you can seehere. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, if it's a setting or what. I've tried several blending modes, all locations (inside, center, outside), preserve transparency, nothing works. Of course, I'm completely challenged when it comes to photoshop, so I could really use your help on this one.

I draw a rectangle. I want that rectangle to be longer, so I drag one side. Why does the other side move a little? I can't think of an instance where this would be useful behavior.
Here's the rectangle:
Here is what it does when I drag:
Notice the outline preview of how big the rectangle will be. On the left side, It has moved considerably from it's original position. Why? Why on earth would I ever want that and is there a way to make it stop?

I have created a rectangle object with top right and bottom left corners set to 90px. I have an image that goes inside the box in the bottom left corner. The problem is I need the box to act as if it is using "Overflow Hidden" so I can position the image in the corner and have it partially "cut off" to fit the corner but It doesn't seem to be working when I set the overflow to hidden on the rectangle.
Also (part of my previous post earlier), is there a way to add/change the CSS code generated by Edge without messing anything up?I can write this in CSS and add it if I knew where and how (although I'd rather do it within the Edge interface).

I made an animation with adobe edge which I used in adobe dps. There is a button with touchstart (starts the animation) and touchend (play animation reverse). It works really well, but when I have the finger on the button it shows this gray copy-rectangle (the one with the blue little dots). The people at the adobe dps forum said it has to do something with adobe edge...

I have an image that is the birds eye view to some homes. I want to use the rectangle tool to draw a rectangle around a home and rotate it. How would I use the rectange tool to do that?
I want the rectangle to not fill with a color, instead, the fill would be transparent, but the border would be red. Then I'd like to rotate it some?
How do I do all that? I can click on the rectangle tool in the toolbox. Then click and draw a rectangle. The box fills with a color and covers whatever is underneath it, then I go over to opacity in the layer and bring it down to 0. That then shows what's underneath it. Is that the right approach?
How do I create a red border? How do I rotate the rectangle?

CS5 Photoshop..I have just noticed that my rounded rectangle tool is not working properly. When I click and drag nothing is visible, when I release it floods my whole image with my selected color. I have tried all of the other tools and they work properly. I have tried restarting, compared settings with other tools, and checked for updates.
Also, I have what appears to be a common problem with my move tool. I click, drag, and drop only to have the selected image snap back to its original position. I have an intuos 5 connected, is this the culprit?
