Using PS7 and the round edge rectangle tool...is there an easy way to save the "selection" as a round edge image?
is there a way to place the rounded corner selection onto a transparent canvas ?
I do not have the time or skills to attempt this without the round edge tool.
If you draw a rectangle & put the corner radius to 0.005 and see in zoom edges is not round and have some defective edge.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have gotten to a point where I have the round text,, I have a seal with a blank space.. I would like to put the round text into the blank space,, but when I try, and no matter how I try,, the text is a white square with round text on it when I try to place it in the circle.
The other thought that came to me,, what if ..(the text circle size was a guess) the text does not fit.. how do I expand or collape it? I know I have in the pass while playing with round text.. gone back to that effect and changed angles, start points etc.. is that the only way?
I have attached what I have so far. ( I tried to attach the Paint.net file but I guess you can't, so these are the two I am working on,, as layers in Paint.net)
I'm having trouble getting the edges of my eyes to look like they are part of the chair, which got me wondering. Is there a way to feather my edges with increased intensity closer to the edge? To be specific, I'd like to start the feather 100px inside the border with 60% opacity, all the way to the edge (border) with 0% opacity. I tried doing this manually a couple of ways and it just didn't look uniform.
I have also tried with the eyes seperated (without the middle area), but I still have the same issues.
When I go to crop or move an image close to the edge of the canvas it jumps to the edge. I am having trouble especially with cropping the space between the image and the edge of the canvas the way I want it. turning off this jumping to edge problem I'm having?
Also, I've used CS4 a fair bit and haven't come across this same problem but in PE when I'm editing things like adjusting text on a layer and I'm changing options with hotkeys to resize the text box for eg, Elements seems to jump to the background layer quite alot and then I have to click back on the layer I want to edit between changing tools. Is it something to do with the Esc key?
How do I fade the edges of a photograph into the background so there is no hard line? Once I did it by spraying the background color over the photo outline, but I know there is a better/easier way. What standard filters apply only to edges? I frequently want to do a torn edge, wavy edge, etc.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an existing HTML page (created in Adobe Muse) and I am trying to draw some Adobe Edge objects on top of the page (e.g. a rectangle or an image). When I look in the layers panel, the Edge objects show as top in the list. However, visually when I look at the page, the elements show behind the pre-existing HTML page from Muse.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI filled a transparent layer with blue sky, opened another layer and used the elliptical marquee tool to draw a round sun, and filled with yellow. I then blurred the edges with a simple keystroke, but can't remember what I did.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm editing photographs of tabletop ceramics - plates, etc. and often images are shot off center and I have to make them round.I use the Filter Lens Correction Feature with some success and the Warp feature to fine tune - but it's all eyeballing the image which isn't accurate.

Any feature for this process or a grid that will enable me to ensure they are round? Windows CS5 Photoshop -
I know just enough to get by in Photoshop but have had zero training, so I tend to jimmy rig everything until it looks okay. I am stumped on this one though.
I bought a web template and am modifying the images to what I need them to be. I can not for the life of me figure out how they did this rounded corner and shadowing on the corner. I can easily, manually copy the two lines going up the sides of the image. (Jimmy rig) ... but I can't seem to get the corner to look right.
I know it looks like a drop shadow, but you'd need to know all the colors and exact settings to copy that drop shadow and all i have is the finished product.
I wanted to make some icons. I wanted them to be a rectangle with round corners.
I try making the icon and saving it as a PNG, but the corners are still visible.
I opened an example png icon, the background is the grey and white checkers, which i know mean theres nothign there.
I need to take a photo and round the edges with a solid background outside the curves. I'd also like to put a think black border around the photo.

More specifically, there is a 8 pointed star shape that I want to give more curved points. Is this possible or should I just use the original as a 'template' and and draw it myself?
I have attached a small section of the entire image. You can see it appears to have a number of balls on it. Each 'ball' is on a seperate layer. I need to make each one look like a marble. I have used the sphearise option with no joy.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll i want is the text to go around the underside of the circle, the right way up, but it won't do it! Using the pen tool to create the curved line is equally annoying, as it seems to cut of the text mid-way through the line,

I use Photoshop 7.0, I use the marquee tool frequently. It always used to have straight corners, but the past week it has started to automatically do round corners. I haven't changed any settings. Why does this happen? I can mention that I use InDesign CS2. I have worked a lot with rectangles with round corners there recently, but every time changed the corners manually. After a couple of weeks though the program started to automatically change every rectangle to round corners. I didn't know how to change this, but after a couple of weeks it went back to straight corners automatically. I use Windows Vista. Initially there was some problems to make it go with Photoshop and InDesign, but now it works fine most of the time.
