View 2 RepliesI know you can edit corners and angles for rectangles and elipses ut is there a way to do it for other shapes?
More specifically, there is a 8 pointed star shape that I want to give more curved points. Is this possible or should I just use the original as a 'template' and and draw it myself?
In Illustrator CS6, Strokes are automaticly rounding to the nearest whole point size, and shapes I place in a given location are snapping to a grid that I can't seem to find anywhere. All my snaps are turned off, as well as "allign to pixel grid", and I can't seem to find anything in preferences or the transform or object panes that would affect these things. How do I disable both things?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have gotten to a point where I have the round text,, I have a seal with a blank space.. I would like to put the round text into the blank space,, but when I try, and no matter how I try,, the text is a white square with round text on it when I try to place it in the circle.
The other thought that came to me,, what if ..(the text circle size was a guess) the text does not fit.. how do I expand or collape it? I know I have in the pass while playing with round text.. gone back to that effect and changed angles, start points etc.. is that the only way?
I have attached what I have so far. ( I tried to attach the Paint.net file but I guess you can't, so these are the two I am working on,, as layers in Paint.net)
I would like to use a vector object made in AI as a custom shape to be used as a cookie cutter in elements.. I imported the AI file in photoshop but the "define custom shape" entry under "edit" was grayed out.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI drew something up on a sheet of paper, scanned it, then traced it's bitmap as line art. I then proceded to edit the vectors to recover all the detail I lost with the tracing. It took forever!
Now that I´m done, I realised there is a problem... how can I color in the drawing, if the lines themselves make up the shape? Essentially, I´m left with blank spaces in between all the lines instead of solid individual shapes that can be colored in.
What can I do? I´m so desperate I´m thinking of creating a gazillion individual shapes with the colors, and slapping them underneath the lines to "improv" a fill. But that will take waay too long, so is there an easier way?
If I could "invert" the shape I have now, so that the blank spaces become individual shapes, and the lines become blank spaces.
is there any way to add shapes, in the "basic shapes" bar?
or maybe in any other locations.
I use a lot of predefines shapes, that are saved in various files. i wanna make a way to directly import these shapes, whithout open files and copy/paste the dsired shapes.
what i have is a wall decal im trying to finish up. I'v gotten it to size and everything, but there are some very rough edges which i cannot get rid of. i''ve tried everything that comes to mind. anyone have any tricks that you can share? basics?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI filled a transparent layer with blue sky, opened another layer and used the elliptical marquee tool to draw a round sun, and filled with yellow. I then blurred the edges with a simple keystroke, but can't remember what I did.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm editing photographs of tabletop ceramics - plates, etc. and often images are shot off center and I have to make them round.I use the Filter Lens Correction Feature with some success and the Warp feature to fine tune - but it's all eyeballing the image which isn't accurate.

Any feature for this process or a grid that will enable me to ensure they are round? Windows CS5 Photoshop -
I know just enough to get by in Photoshop but have had zero training, so I tend to jimmy rig everything until it looks okay. I am stumped on this one though.
I bought a web template and am modifying the images to what I need them to be. I can not for the life of me figure out how they did this rounded corner and shadowing on the corner. I can easily, manually copy the two lines going up the sides of the image. (Jimmy rig) ... but I can't seem to get the corner to look right.
I know it looks like a drop shadow, but you'd need to know all the colors and exact settings to copy that drop shadow and all i have is the finished product.
I wanted to make some icons. I wanted them to be a rectangle with round corners.
I try making the icon and saving it as a PNG, but the corners are still visible.
I opened an example png icon, the background is the grey and white checkers, which i know mean theres nothign there.
I need to take a photo and round the edges with a solid background outside the curves. I'd also like to put a think black border around the photo.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have attached a small section of the entire image. You can see it appears to have a number of balls on it. Each 'ball' is on a seperate layer. I need to make each one look like a marble. I have used the sphearise option with no joy.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll i want is the text to go around the underside of the circle, the right way up, but it won't do it! Using the pen tool to create the curved line is equally annoying, as it seems to cut of the text mid-way through the line,

possible to round out the line tool?

cause i want to make a nice header but i always have to make a circle then delete to make the curve...
I use Photoshop 7.0, I use the marquee tool frequently. It always used to have straight corners, but the past week it has started to automatically do round corners. I haven't changed any settings. Why does this happen? I can mention that I use InDesign CS2. I have worked a lot with rectangles with round corners there recently, but every time changed the corners manually. After a couple of weeks though the program started to automatically change every rectangle to round corners. I didn't know how to change this, but after a couple of weeks it went back to straight corners automatically. I use Windows Vista. Initially there was some problems to make it go with Photoshop and InDesign, but now it works fine most of the time.

How do I round the corners with out adjusting the size of the image and still keep the WxH?
I'd like to crop or edit some photos so they would have rounded corners. Sounds like it should be easy but I can't seem to figure it out.
