But I would like to find an easy way to make all corners the same diameter regardless of the angle too.

Feb 27, 2013A friend asked me to create a logo similar to The North Face by using a song name. The upper right corner needs to be rounded allowing the color fill between the two silver parts. It looks somewhat ok, but as you can see it is not very proportional. I tried the aics_scripts file that I found from searching, but i can't get it right, most likely because the curve in the logo is not perfect. I have linked jpegs of 2 possibilities - the third image is made from creating a border in the appearance but then i cant get an additional outline around it with the silver color

Apr 2, 2012I know just enough to get by in Photoshop but have had zero training, so I tend to jimmy rig everything until it looks okay. I am stumped on this one though.
I bought a web template and am modifying the images to what I need them to be. I can not for the life of me figure out how they did this rounded corner and shadowing on the corner. I can easily, manually copy the two lines going up the sides of the image. (Jimmy rig) ... but I can't seem to get the corner to look right.
I know it looks like a drop shadow, but you'd need to know all the colors and exact settings to copy that drop shadow and all i have is the finished product.

Mar 15, 2013I like my coreldraw x4. This sign shop actually has a copy of x5 but it was so so so so awful that we had to take it off of the computer.
I am having more and more problems opening pdf's. I end up with a rectangle with a line across the corner. I'm assuming the people sending have newer adobe than what x4 can handle? I can open the pdf;s in adobe reader but only give option to save as pdf. I just looked and it says PDF VISTA . Is there a way to save them as an older one? Kind of how corel draw can be saved as an older version?
And for some odd reason, on one of the computers (the one that has the email that these pdf's come from) doesn't show them with the pdf icon on the desktop. It has the green corel draw icon instead.

Apr 10, 2011I have gotten to a point where I have the round text,, I have a seal with a blank space.. I would like to put the round text into the blank space,, but when I try, and no matter how I try,, the text is a white square with round text on it when I try to place it in the circle.
The other thought that came to me,, what if ..(the text circle size was a guess) the text does not fit.. how do I expand or collape it? I know I have in the pass while playing with round text.. gone back to that effect and changed angles, start points etc.. is that the only way?
I have attached what I have so far. ( I tried to attach the Paint.net file but I guess you can't, so these are the two I am working on,, as layers in Paint.net)

Feb 25, 2013Using Inkscape, I can easily create an hexagon with rounded courners. The result in below in yellow (the right hexagon). It's possible to see that not only the corners are rounded, but the entire shape is (the lines around the hexagon aren't completely straight). I am now trying to acheive the same effect with Illustrator CS6, but I can't find out how. The closest I got is the white hexagon below (on the left). The corners are rounded but the lines are straight.
How can I create an hexagon identical to the one in yellow above with Illustrator?
Illustrator :: Align Stroke To Inside Of Corner
Jul 17, 2013I have a bent path, standard 90 degree corner. Illustrator CC is not allowing me to align the stroke to the inside of the path/corner. The inside and outside options are grayed out when this path is selected.
Of course, I can create a shape and then all three options for path alignment are usable. But if I cut a gap into the path of that shape it instantly reverts to a center aligned stroke. I can create what I need manually. But this is a time addition.
Illustrator :: Turning Rounded Corner Filter Off?
Aug 16, 2012I'm working in Illustrator CS3. Recently the program has begun to do something I have never notice before. If I use the round corner's filter: Filter>Stylize>Round Cornors then every box I create after using it has rounded corners that I cannot get rid of. Things drawn with the pen tool also have rounded corners I cannot get rid of. The only way to stop the problem seems to be to open a new document and then the tools are set back to their default without automatically rounding corners.
Who do I use the rounded corners filter on a single object at a time and not get to automatically be applied to all subsequent objects created.

Sep 19, 2012InDesign CS4 has a "Corner adjustment for dashed stroke" feature which allows corners of a dashed stroke to have the dash part instead of a gap or a small part of a dash. Interestingly, I cannot find this feature in Illustrator CS4. I believe it is included in Illustrator CS5.Is this feature indeed absent from Illustrator CS4?
