Just loaded cs5 onto a second computer legally. Any tiff or raw file brought into cs5 appears as a grey and white checker board image. From there its gets even crazier. CS5 works fine on the first computer. both loaded from the same legal disk.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust installed the LR3 software and updated to the last version. I inserted the SD-card with 12 pictures (jpg and raw) into the card reader but on the LR3 screen I only saw 12 grey rectangles. However, I imported the 12 pictures into a folder on the PC. The rectangles remained gray. With other programes I can see and open the pictures. My camera is a LX5.

I know I can edit the image, because I can add a brush into it, and when I move the box the image is brushed.. And when I enter the filter gallery the image appears normaly..
Is there a proper way to gray-scale objects in a drawing? What i have done is turned off layers and point groups that I want to remain in color and selected the rest and changed the color in the properties box. Any way to move back and forth from gray to color.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have another question about GREY images.
Example: CTRL+click on grey channel theoreticly (by my theory) make selection from white depending on its value. So cuting out must leave transparent greyscale image. But it don't (okey, it do, but changes black value):
The same selection inverted and filled with 100%K gives correct result: Is my "theory" about CTRL+click selection wrong? Becouse for my point of view, both ways should give same result.
In cs6 if I have two objects in a group I just select one and move it. In CC it moves all of the objects in a group.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I change the default toolbar background from dark gray to light gray in illustrator CS6? In the older versions, the toolbar backgrounds were light gray. It easier to read on light gray backgrounds. THe same question applies to Photoshop CS6. InDesign CS6 has light gray backgrounds.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently started a trial for a program called PDF2CAD, the test file I converted worked fine. Everything is selectable and editable. When I move something it does show up while moving/copying. However, when I make additions to the drawing, text for example, and try to move/copy it it does not show up while moving.
PDF2CAD converted the PDF to a DXF format, which I then saved as a DWG.

I'm working on this massive architecture scene and i'm trying to move some rather small braided steel cable in the scene when i go to move it the objects moves in rather big increments instead of small ones. I just started on the roof of the round house I'm working on. I use spacing tool to copy shingles around but now I'm thinking is there an easier way. This takes time. Can you think of any? I was always missing one "tool" in MAX and I think there probably is one. You know when you select many objects and use scale to scale them all (using one center, not each owns), and the objects move as if they are pieces of explosion or implosion (towards or away a centre). But also, they change size of course. Is there a tool or a way to just MOVE the objects this way? Away or towards each other but not scale them?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to set precision to 3 decimal places which is in millimeters in my case. That is enough for the building industry. Recently, I found out a co worker worked on my drawing while I was on vacation. Something seem out of place, so I set the precision to 8 decimal places and noticed everything is off by a bit. In general, 0.00000002 isn't going to affect the project, but it just bugs me a lot. I spent hours lining everything up perfectly, just to find out most objects shifted again by a tiny bit after 2 days.I tested out a few lines by fixing them in the block editor and saving it. But everything I reedit them, they shifted again.I asked the co-worker if he remember what he did, but couldn't come up with a solution.

Below should be a picture to explain what I'm talking about.

Is this a bug? Is there a fix? Is this user error?
I am using Autocad 11. I am working on some 12 year old drawings for a railroad museum. They are a mess. They look like they were done be an old pencil guy. Lots of views all over the drawing space rather than using layers to his advantage.
I am watching all the tutorials that i can find. There are Blocks on wrong layers.
I want to move a group of lines (part of the stuff on one layer) onto a new layer that i have created. Is it as simple as cut and paste? How do I prevent them moving during the process?
I tried making their layer current, then selecting the items, then cutting the items. Then i made the new layer that I wanted them on Current, then pasted them. I has to very carefully line them back up, and they are still on the original layer.
I notice that, for example with the the text creator, you can move the text around the canvas before it "freezes up" so to speak
How can I move text, or an object, around after this happens
My company is switching from ctb files to stb files. With the ctb file, we make concrete hatch with two layers. A top layer with the concrete hatch pattern and a background layer with a solid hatch patern. The ctb file concrete plots the concete hatch black and the solid background hatch light gray. I am using civil 3d 2013 and the hatch allows a seperate background color mask. I am trying to make all my concrete layers (Top of Curb, Curb Flowline, etc.) a certain color scheme, i.e. shades of green. I would like my on screen concrete hatch patern to be a green color with a gray background, but plot the concrete hatch black with a gray background. I can not figure out how to do this without making two layers. Is there a way to use one layer and utilize the background color mask to show on screen green and gray, but plot black and gray?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhy does a black through white gradient created in an RGB document have a B channel that differs from the R and G channels?
In 8-bit mode, only some of the "grays" have a mismatching B value and there seems to be more of them when the gradient is created by Gradient Tool than when it is a Gradient Fill layer. The difference seems to be 1 in the cases that I've seen.
In 16-bit mode, I see the B differ from R and G by 7 at black, gradually reducing to 0 at white.
Before someone says, "Why make a fuss about small discrepancies?", I'm asking why there is any difference at all.
I'm a new user of VideoStudio X4 and I looking for information about moving and resizing objects or images.

I suppose when you open a file in Corel draw, it is loaded to RAM and apart from cases when the file is autosaved or backup is done etc it should not depend on actual drive on which the original file is saved.
However I have very often problems recently with corel freezing for some time when just trying to move even small object inside the file. I am using network drive and write speed on it is not the fastest but still 25MB per sec. I am thinking of upgrading to 1Gb but my crucial question is:
Is it at all possible that internal work within a document is somehow dependant on connection speed with the drive? It doesn't happen all the time but when it happens there are no processes in the background that could possibly affect the Corel Draw performance.Graphic Designer, Web designer and playing with Video and Audio mixing and editing as well ;-).Working for Large Format Printing company Carrick Signs.
I found that Photopaint X6.1 is very unstable when i'm trying to move objects down or up.
Bad news is that its happening after longer period of work like around hour or more, designs with hundred or more objects.
90% of "not responding" errors are caused by moving objects down or up.
With X6 64bit I learned to save files more often than in previous versions.

Somehow I must have activated an option to only be able to move any object a certain distance at a time. For example, I have a circle that I want in a certain position but I can not move it there with my mouse. Instead it insists on moving 18,9 pixels in any given direction whenever I'm moving it with my mouse. To get a specific position I have to enter its position manually.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from ACAD 2007 3d to 2012 3d. The rest of my organization is using a "mix" of older versions, so we still save to the 2004 format. Text objects "moving" to different locations or disappearing on opening files in newer versions of ACAD? I've had two instances so far. In one case, a 2012 LT user added a leader/text and the 2000 LT user could see it. The text was clearly there in the 2012 users file. In the other case, I opened a file I worked on in 2007 and text objects seem to be moved about randomly when looking at it in 2012. Everything still looks good with the file opened in the 2007 though.

I have the North wall of the house in a design option for the living room at the moment. But I have decided I no longer want that wall in the my living room option, I would like to move it to my kitchen design option so I am able to move a window that is located on that wall. I cannot seem to find a way to move a wall from one design option to another or have it in both if it is already part of a design option. How I can get this wall and the windows located on it into my kitchen design layout without having things being double counted in the schedules?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to move a wall to a different object style?
Im currently setting out a toilet suite and would like to place the cubicle partitions in a more appropriate object style.
I am still having trouble moving objects to precise coordinates. For instance, the thing I drew may be in the correct position in the x-y plane but I want to move it in the positive z direction a precise number of units. Or move it along the y axis by specifying where I want it to be not how far I want it to move.
I see...just use the tab key.
Im trying to move objects correctly , lets say from one to top of another .
Untill now im switching to desired view ( top, right, left etc...) and then moving . if my base point is a vertex and the point i want it to be attached it also a vertex , i have no problem. the problem starts when im trying to move object from their center point or other non vertex points to touch the face of the other object.
In the file i attached there's two rectangles i want to move the small one in top of the big one in the Z axis only , so i switched to the view i want but still unable to move it to the next face . Ive tried playing with 3d object snap , no success.
