Photoshop :: Logo Design Using Picture And Custom Font
Mar 21, 2006I want to create a logo. The word I am creating is going to be Foxx. I want the backside of the F to have a fox's head coming out of it. I want the appearance of the Fox's had to be growing from the back side of the F. I am capable of pulling this off. I am more interested in the techniques that some of you would use to acheive this task.
1.What I would do is find a picture of a fox's face in this case a profile shot.
2.I'd then import that pic and extract the head from the fox (only in the picture PETA )
3.I'd then use my combination of the pen tool, shape tool, and direct selection tool to trace the fox's face.
4.Finally I'd design the F to match the fox's face.
I do not have Illustrator.

Jan 14, 2013I've created a logo, and I'd like to use it in some PDF documents. I've tried several different methods for converting it into an image, but the image quality really degrades when I do. Maybe I'm expecting too much - since the vector image is essentially perfect - but it seems like there should be a way to come up with a decent looking image. Is there a "best practice" for this process?

Feb 21, 2008When creating a new path in the paths palette, the thumbnail indicates with white, the area enclosed, and with grey, the area excluded. When I create new paths, it keeps indicating 'outside' the path as the area 'enclosed'. I then have to go through a painful process of converting path to selection, selecting inverse, converting selection to path and adjusting the new path to how I want it again.
How do I directly invert the (positive) area selected by the path?
AutoCad :: How To Select All Objects Enclosed In Polyline
Mar 30, 2011Im practicing for my CAD certification test and im trying to select all objects inclosed in a poly line. Right now i have a bunch of random circles and a random figure drawn in the middle of a bunch of circles. How do i select ONLY the circles that are completely in the object?
P.S. I would add a picture but i don't know how to take a screenshot on windows xp.
AutoCad :: Hatching Doesn't Recognize Enclosed Area
Oct 12, 2011Is there any way of finding out what objects (lines) don’t quite join together and enclose the space I am trying to hatch/fill within. I'm going round all the corners and intersections with the 'fillet' command just in case I miss something but couldn't imagine doing this if there were lots of corners in a complicated drawing. Would be so time consuming! I've tried using the boundary command but it doesn't recognise the enclosed area (perhaps because it's not fully enclosed because one of the corners doesn't quite join?). Any way CAD would be able to detect which corner doesn't quite join?

Feb 17, 2014I'm trying to build a map of the world that includes provinces and sub-provinces (counties). I will be animating it in AE. AE only sees the top layers so it is imparative that the name of the top layer corresponds the the correct province. Unfortunately all the provinces are not layers. They are objects. I can use the "Release to Layers" command to get all objects nested into top level layers. But the top level layers have generic names (Layer 1, Layer2, Layer 3). The objects nested within these layers have the correct name.

Is there a script that will rename the top level layer using the name given to the object nested within that layer? If not, how to create one?

AutoCad 3D :: How To Remove Part Of Solid That Enclosed Within Green Surfaces
Jul 2, 2013I've just started learning AutoCAD and came across my first obstacle I don't know how to work around. Here's what I'm trying to do.
I draw two lines and two circles and then trim the excessive parts as in the picture (in general it can be an area composed of various types of lines, straight lines, arc, and likely with rounded corners).
Then extrude to the height 2. This makes 4 surfaces (green). Now I build a solid 'around' the surfaces. In this example I draw a rectangle and extrude to the height 1 (red). And my question is: how do I remove the part of the solid that's enclosed within the green surfaces? Subtraction doesn't work as I don't subtract solid. Slicing doesn't work either as it's more than one surfaces. For the same reason I can't turn it into a solid.

Jun 10, 2008when I browse image files I find that the Photoshop/Adobe logo has been replaced by the Netscape logo. When I attach a file in email the N-scape logo is there by file name/number not Photoshop logo. Anyone know why or have this issue?

Dec 22, 2005I'm trying to create a new logo. The design is very simple, in that it is mainly text. What I'm finding is that the image when printed and enlarged becomes fuzzy around the edges. What can I do to ensure the quality stays good?
I've read some things on this forum that talk about saving the logo in Vector format. What is this and how do I do it? Also what format and resolution do I save it at for print and the web?

I was wondering, Since my current CS3 is alread registered do I load Design Standard CS3 and just not choose Photoshop CS3 at the beginning of the Design Standard install process? Will I be able to use my Design Standard serial number to register the product and have it not effect my existing registered version of Photoshop CS3?
