View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some c# code (though it could be any language) and I am trying to copy the colors used therein into an Illustrator design.
Here's the code:
private static readonly Dictionary<string, SolidColorBrush> _DefaultModeColours = new Dictionary<string, SolidColorBrush>
{
[Code]....
The colors are specified using hexadecimal numbers for the ARGB values.
In Illustrator I have the following color chooser:
I could fire up a calculator and convert each of the (nonobvious) hex values into decimal, but I imagine there is an easy way to change the Illustrator settings for the document to use hex values. Is there? If so where do I set it?
I am proficient in Illustrator, but this has been one of a few enigmas. Every once and a while in a file, I have noticed that after deleting a color that is definitely not in use(ie there are no strokes, fills, stray paths etc) using these colors. I have made sure of it. I will delete the color from the swatches and as a final pass I like to add used colors and sure enough that color will come back. I tried making sure it's not checked global, didn't work, some I don't even think are global colors, and in fact they are generally CMYK. I often notice that Black and C:0 M:0 Y:0 K:100 don't like to delete from the swatches among some other colors when you delete unused swatches. I thought perhaps they were in guides or something but it's truly unexplainable, and generally with a fresh file if all colors are deleted it'll still leave black white and gray.
Or ways to troubleshoot better other than creating a debug file and deleting lines of code as recommended in the older forums?
My colour swatches disappeared although I clicked on "show all swatches". What do I have to do to appear regularly when opening Illustrator?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs long as a cmm is set up it is not possible to me to measure the same color value on screen (with an external color picker) that I entered in Corel's color definitions. This only works, when I turn off any cmm in Draw.
Plus it is not possilbe to export a pdf in which I can measue the RGB values that I defined in Draw. The closest I get is without a cmm (see above) but I still get readings that are off by 1 in most cases (I don't figure why rounding issues should be acceptable here).
The only export that works for me is to export for "Office" .. only then all values are exactly how I had defined them.
I am fairly new to Gimp, but love it. I am a marine biologist and I would like to use this program for my research. I do need to export the histogram values as I need to do some calculations (pixel count and value). Is there any way I can do this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedHalf way through my trial of Photoshop CS5 it stopped rendering hexidecimal colours correctly. If i take a background colour from my css page and put it in the colour picker, use it to border a photo and put that image back into the background it stands out like a sore thumb. This was not the case earlier in the trial, everything rendered fine. I have tried dozens of times to get it to work and i've checked everything i can think of, it still will not render the colour correctly. My operating system is Windows 7 on a Lenovo Thinkpad.what is going on and how to fix it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just switched to Photoshop from Fireworks, and so far I'm not happy. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to adjust the dang hexadecimal code inside of Photoshop CS4 for the desired color!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI made the switch from Studio 8 to CS4 not too long ago, and have been learning CS4 for a while. But I'm having a problem that's holding me back. How do I adjust the hexadecimal code (i.e. #e8e8e2) manually? I see no place to insert your code, and I kind of need that for doing web design.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I export vector graphics to RGB/sRGB and open the pdf in another software (like Serif Page Plus, Adobe etc.), the color values are variying a little bit.
For example, my gray value of a logotype in Corel was 118, 115, 113. Now I export as pdf (many logical!! setting of CM tried!!!), any other software that opens the document - also CORRECT CM settings - values are 117, 115, 112. --- The same light variations nearly anytime with any RGB color. Not possible to create vector pdfs of logos for my clients correctly this way! Really bad.
Instead of starting a discussion about Color Management Settings, could any professional, maybe a Corel member check this behaviour in practice and give me a feed-back!? - In the best case let me know the complete settings for Corel CM and pdf Export to get the RGB pdf export done correctly.
(I am currently using X4, but know that same behaviour from X3 and passed again hours to try really all reasonable CM and export combinations, at least I think so. Windows7 and WindowsXP)
how Photoshop calculates the interactions Between colors when using transfer modes and the brush.
Example If I paint using a brush that is set to multiply how does it use the hexadecimal color value to calculate the resulting color?
I am doing a school project on Photoshop and some of the math behind it. I am focusing on the Hexadecimal Color Picker and how Photoshop calculates the interaction between colors.
Fore example. If I lay down a color on a layer with a brush then change the transfer mode to "Multiply" And then brush over the first color. How does Photoshop calculate the resulting color?
There is a BLOCKA that I'd like to extract its attributes - Tag and Color - into an external format (excel). There after, I'd like to import it into the drawing and based on its color attribute value, change the value to that color in the drawing.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to show, using the eyedropper tool, the actual values of pixels in an 8-bit grayscale image (Mode command confirms that's what's there). In the Info panel, the eyedropper tool displays percentages for every type of color information (K, CMYK), while the "8-bit" field remains blank.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI create 16x16 pixel icons for use in my mapping software. I notice, when picking colours from the colour palette and dropping them into my grid using the brush tool, the initial colour is not its full intensity and that it is increased each time I click the mouse. This resulted in different hexadecimal values for each pixel square, which is unacceptable for my purposes. However, I discovered while writing this post, using the pencil tool drops the full colour intensity into the square. Now I am curious to understand why the two tools operate differently and how one knows, if using the brush tool, when full intensity is reached.

Is there a way to have no layer value set for the description keys. I set all the layers, and now I realize I'd rather set this to no layers (boxes are all unchecked). I'd rather see no value under the layer column, but there doesn't seem like a way to set this.

I want to add serial number in the documents I am making to protect it from piracy... Or no, rather easier way to spot the pirate if I find my pattern floating somewhere..
To make it condensed I would like to use hexadecimal digits. So I can add a small serie of digits on a pattern piece (the pieces are tiny, averaging at about 4-5 cm, filled with information) so this is my reason of why I want hexadecimals.
I will stuff it with six digit groups for different identifiers and then revision numbers too.
On every document copy, that is, pattern sheet I would like to repeat the same digit about 4-6 times, on the major pattern pieces, and on one license paper. So the digits needs to be identical on these 4-6 times.
But of course incrementing for each copy of the pattern sheet.
Let's say the serie is 1.01.0001-00.00.00 this is the format I am going to use. All the digits could be entered manually if it has to be done but at least the 4 digits group should be automated, and hexadecimal.
Can AUTOCAD sum values that are entered as text values? Attached is a table text whose right final values should be all sumed up? Is this possible inside AUTOCAD?
View 9 Replies View Relatedmy problem is the color gray. the swatches that fade from white to black have a red tint to them. I tryed the color setting, to see if i can take the red tint out but it doesn't work.

The color picker doesn't have gray in this setting. I do get gray when i change the setting' but no change in the grays in the swatches.

is it possible to move left and right on the swatch list in photoshop?
im in cs4. this would be awesome for shading...
Is there a way of organizing the colours in a swatch to something other than the default.
You can delete, or add, but you can't drag them to new positions to arrange.
I'm creating some swatches of my own, but the order of the colours is not to my liking. Just can't figure out if they can be organised by Hue, Brightness etc, or moved around individually.
