Dec 21, 2012Can AUTOCAD sum values that are entered as text values? Attached is a table text whose right final values should be all sumed up? Is this possible inside AUTOCAD?

Jul 18, 2013I have an attribute blocks and this att block has two tag values , is there a simple code for to change 1st tag values automaticly according to 2nd values ?
for example :
1st tag (50x50) - 2nd tag ( 100 ) ==> 50x50-100
if i enter 201 valuse to 2nd tag then 1 st tag has to change as 100x100
if i enter 501 valuse to 2nd tag then 1 st tag has to change as 150x510

Apr 18, 2013Is there a way to have no layer value set for the description keys. I set all the layers, and now I realize I'd rather set this to no layers (boxes are all unchecked). I'd rather see no value under the layer column, but there doesn't seem like a way to set this.

Dec 18, 2011I need multiple (say two) instances of the same text values (in the same drawing) but in different formats.
Consider this: I have a drawing sheet with a title block that contains the drawing number and the author's name at the bottom with some other drawing details. Now I wish to have these "values" arranged in a matrix form at the top also, for indexing purpose.

One way is to manually enter each value, one by one, in the matrix box but that would be too time consuming. So, is there a way to automate this; where I can enter the values in the bottom title block, which would automatically update the above matrix?
I believe it can be done using a combination of Attributes and Fields but am just not getting it. To make the issue even worse, I need Numbers without hyphens (-) and only Initials of the author's name!

Jun 2, 2004lisp routine that will add together the values of text entities? For instance, if I have a big parking lot and each section is labeled with the number of spaces, I could pick the texts and it would add all the numbers together to give me a total. Right now I export to excel to do this. I have quite a few situations where this would be handy, not just for parking spaces, so I really just want a lisp that will add all my selected numbers.

Mar 14, 2011I'm designing a catalog with some prices, every product have a code. Working with layers, I can group 3 objects: A produtc photo, the price and the code. So I rename the group to the code of especified product.
As we see, I can identify the groups, and by code I know what the product I'm working on. I think it's a very organized way to work.
Here the question:
Can I load the prices values from a txt file? I'm using X5.

For each child in the assembly where paremeter "include" = true, add the value of iproperty "filename" to a comma delimited list that will become the value of text Iproperty "child list" in the parent assembly.
The result should look something Like iproperty"child" = "filename1,filename2,filename3,filename4, etc..."
The rule must iterrogate all children, both parts and assemblies, and must go beyond 1st level children.
The output does not have to be comma delimited but must be delimited with something (eg tab, :, etc..)
The number of children is unknown
Is there a character limit imposed on a text iproperty?
Edge Animate CC :: Dynamic Values For Text?
Sep 17, 2013 I just need to create a simple animation to be dropped into a MUSE creation and I think Edge Animate is the right way to do it. For the life of me I cannot figure out how.
Basically, I want to create a simple animation to explain the dimensions of a product. A line with arrows on both ends would grow to the length of a line drawing symbolizing its height for example.
Accompanying that would be a text box that I would like to simply count up from 0.0" to 3.5" for instance. how do I dynamically update the text from 0.0 to 3.5 across a 2 second animation in Edge Animate?

Mar 6, 2013I got a new work and get it done in the next 2 days, but first I need to do this... from a text file (or excel file, I got both) I got 3 columns, 1 one for node number, and 2 other for X and Y coordinates for each node.
So from that file I need to insert into autocad the node numbers as text (using the current style and height) at the point specified by the other two columns, that are the X,Y coordinates which will be the insertion point of text..
Photoshop :: Randomly Changing Text Size Values In CS6 Extended
Aug 9, 2013I am encountering an issue with my copy of Adobe CS6 Photoshop Extended which results in a random increase in the size of text when I try to adjust the size value.
whenever I drag-click the cursor to change the text size value, the input option randomly increases by an also random number of millimeters, suddenly blowing up the size of the text. It then allows me to drag-resize from that increased value. However, when I get to the value I want and release the drag-click it randomly increases the values again thus increasing the size much beyond what I had specified (again increasing the size!!). I am running Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended (ver. 13.0.5 x64) on an Early 2011 Macbook Pro i7 2.0GHz with 16GBs of RAM. The issue happens on both the built-in trackpad and my Wacom Tablet.

Nov 15, 2012What I'm trying to do is create images (PNG) that are populated with text values and images from a database. Something I could best describe as being like a mail merge. Can I write a Gimp script to do this? Let me give you some examples that demonstrate of what I want to do:
1 - Create randomly generated Lolcat images where I pull random cat images from a database and random funny text imposed in a layer on top of the cat image
2 - Create address labels where I pull names and address from a database and impose them on top of an image of the state I'm shipping it to.
3 - Create iconography for an e-commerce website that pulls from the product catalog to display the image with text of the category, product name, and size on top if it.
AutoCad :: How To Fix Z Values
Nov 20, 2012Parts of my drawing were not allowing me to distance, dimension or trim them, so I suspected that some of the lines weren't flat. I just checked a troublesome line and it has a crazy Z value. I tried changing Start Z and End Z to "0," but that just moved the line to another place. When I put it back, the Z value changed back. If I'm able to grip points to dimension something, the dimension lines appear way below the points. Other parts of the drawing are fine.
I think I accidentally did something to the WCS, but I don't know what or how to fix this.

Another thing, How do i conect all my drawing downloads i have together ive tried the coordinates system and just dont get anywhere.
Downloaded from Digimap i have 20 different drawings of this section but i cant connect them together. I have a catalogue system which is just like a coordinates section with these 20 places. All my drawings are fine they open in autocad fine just need to put them together to link them.

Jun 19, 2013I have a file from a client that has a table with the color values recorded as CMYK. (e.g. 50, 0, 10, 0)
I'd like to display the colors but I can only figure out how to do it if it's in the 256 color format. Is there a way for me to convert CMYK color values to a 256 color value. I realize the hues/colors won't be perfect, and I'll be happy with colors close to what the original data was using. Maybe there's a way to go from CMYK to RGB, and then to 246?

Dec 10, 2012I have 2 surfaces that I am sampling and have the bands depicted in the attached. I would like to have all bands with 1 digit of precision and the values in the Cover Depth band add up. The Cover Depth is supposed to be subtracting the two but is often off by one digit. I have tried changing the rounding options in C3D but there is always disagreement between the data in the bands.
I tried searching for this issue to no avail. Perhaps I need to have an expression to do the rounding is what one case eluded to. Seems that C3D may use a type of rounding that rounds to the nearest even number?

This is what I'm trying to achieve:

The block is for a unit that is made up of two fixtures (a cabinet and a wall with a counter top). Our customer uses the same ID for both fixtures and treats it as one unit, whereas our order form lists both the cabinet and the wall separately for production purposes. So both of our fixtures will have the same ID, but will have different product numbers and descriptions. In order for the information to show up in the table properly, I need two instances of an ID, # and Description attribute. If I use a different name for the additional attributes, I will get two extra columns.
