I have tried to load my copy of CS4 from the disc but get the message file access denied.I've tried another laptop - same message - and my Lightroom loads ok.
I am using Windows 7, Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS5. My workflow is to download in LR, some editing, and then to finish in PS-
The first problem I saw first in LR when certain files had the message "Access denied to this file". I could not open, edit, move, nor copy these files, although other photos taken on the same day and downloaded at the same time were unaffected. These files can not be opened in any other program.
The second problem has happened to me twice now. I use two external hard drives - "Freecom F" and "Elements G". There is very little on G-only backups.
On opening LR I see that "G" has all the folders from "F" although they are all "missing". "F" drive does not appear at all in library mode, but if I try to import, then "F" appears, but all the images have the message "Appears to have been already imported to LR".
I have several photos which carry the message "File access denied". On the same folder there are photos taken on the same day which I can access. I dont believe that I have done anything to the photos outside of LR (4). I use Windows 7

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently changed the Photoshop (CS6) Scratch Disk choice from the default Boot Drive to one of the other internal drives in my MacPro (OS 10.6.8).

When I restart Photoshop (CS6) I get the message:"Could not open scratch file because disc is not available" and Photoshop will not launch.

I then restart Photoshop with "Command - alt - shift" keys held down (as per suggestion at URL.....)and reset the preferences which allows Photoshop to come back.(Resetting preferences returned the Boot Drive to scratch disk status.)

I have another MacPro that - same OS 10.6.8 and Adobe CS6 - and I don't have this scratch disk allocation problem.What is going on with the one MacPro that prevents me from selecting a Photoshop scratch disk other than the boot drive?
My scratch disc instantly fills up when I open a 1.4 gb file? I have 400gb available?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not talking about the "deactivate" menu being greyed out or anything. I can select it and then tick the checkbox to erase my serial-number, but when clicking on "Deactivate" and answering with "Yes", it takes about 2-3 seconds before I get a "Deactivation denied" message. I tried to call Adobe Support, but the woman I got on the phone was completely useless. She didn't understand what I wanted to do, and wanted to provide me with new activation details. I explained to her three times why that wouldn't work and she simply skipped ahead to the next useless response in her database. Here is what I'm trying to do: 1) Deactivate the entire CS4 Master Suite.2) Make a backup of the my HD3) Clean-install Windows 7 RC (can't upgrade from Vista Business)4) Install and activate CS4 Master Suite on Windows 7. If that works (including my other important software) then I would continue using that machine until Windows 7 final is released in October and then I would need to repeat steps 1-4 again (you can't upgrade the RC to the full version). If that doesn't work (or one of my important programs doesn't work) then I would use the back-up and re-activate CS4. Why is there a limit for deactivations? View 3 Replies View RelatedUpgraded my BIOS to the latest version and my mirrored raid freaked out. So, I have to resetup my raid, reformat my drives, and reinstall windows. During my "closing up" of my current windows install (backup any other data, deactivate software, etc), Photoshop's deactivation software is giving me: Deactivation denied.Click this link for help troubleshooting deactivation problem. Error code: 194:1 For the record I've only previously deactivated this particular piece of software once in the past, and this is the only machine that it's installed on. I can't do anything with my machine until I get this deactivated and after being on hold with adobe customer service for near a half an hour, I feel like I'm getting no where.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am successfully creating a DVD using the Create Disc (DVD) option under the Share menu. I am adding multiple Project files that I have created (.VSP) files to it. Once it is all set up, I select Burning Options add Copyright Information and then I have also clicked on the add Project File to the disc option. However once the disc is created, I cannot find the Project File (.VSP) on the disc.
I am using VideoStudio Pro X4 with all the patches to SP3 installed. PAL system, and I am not receiving any errors.
Am I missing something simple? Does the Project File added to the disc not use the same file extension?
(1) whether VS Pro X4 will support the 3D video clip taken from Panasonic HDC-SDT750 3D capable camcorder?
(2) If it is supported by VS Pro X4, how do you render or burn the 3D video file onto BD disc so that it would be recognised as a 3D video format disc and playable in a 3D Blu-ray player?
I recently bought a double-layer DVD burner and attempted to burn a DVD of a 2 hour home movie in Ulead VideoStudio 9, but have been unable to do so. I can burn it if I shrink the compression, but I don't want to lose quality - which is why I got the double layer burner in the first place. I know it's an older program, but I didn't think I would have so many problems trying to the double-layer disc to work. I have downloaded the upgrade patch for dual-layer burning from the web, but it still hasn't worked. When I burned just the image file (.iso) and tried to use another program to burn the disc, I noticed that it didn't finish saving the entire movie - it stopped when the file size reached 4.2 GB - which is right at the max for a single layer disc. How can I change the settings so the .iso image file will continue working/saving past the 4.2 GB since I can get close to 8 GB on a double layer disc? I'm missing about the last 10 minutes of my video - I need around 5.0 GB for the full movie.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create an illustrator action that isn't functioning properly on playback. I'm using Illustrator CS5 on a Macbook. In setting up for print production of CD's and DVD's, on what's called an OMAP; I have to copy, paste and then place the image at a specific point on the artboard. Then I repeat 143 times. I'd like to create an action that pastes and moves each of the 144 disc images to the precise x and y coordinates given. I've tried creating this action through the steps outlined below, but the result of the playback is never consistent and the images end up off the artboard.

1. Copy disc image from an existing illustrator file.
2. In the action panel of my OMAP template document I create a new action, give it a name and click Record.
3. I hit command>V to paste.
4. In the transform panel I put in the x and y coordinates(Then repeat)

Update: I was able to create the action in Illustrator CS4 and playback works perfect. However, my client uses Illustrator CS 5 on a PC (as I use most of the time); and, the action will not play back properly in CS 5. I've updated both mine and their software to the latest version of CS 5 (illustrator 15.0.2 i believe) and this action still will not function right. I've tried re-creating the action in CS 5 with no success on playback. URL...
I am not used to work with HDV therefore my question: did somebody ever create an hybrid DVD disc straight from a 1440x1080 (HDV) file (possible in VS), or is the usual(better?) way to first rescale to 1920x1080. Is this disc then playable on a stand-alone BD player, which normally can play the 1920x1080 versions.

When I start either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of CS6, I immediately get a message saying that it could not open a scratch file because it is locked, or I do not have permissions (I have administrator privileges). The message urges me to go to "Properties" with Windows Explorer but does not tell me where the file is located.

My PC has an SSD (C: drive) with enough space for the Photoshop program (installed there) but I do not want any scratch file installed there. I just brought up Photoshop CC and see that the D drive is specified as the scratch drive.

Am I not able to run Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC (not at the same time) on the same PC?
I am using PS CS3 (Windows Version) on my laptop while traveling. Last night the Adobe update manager updated to Camera Raw 4.6. Now Photoshop will not load any photo. If I go to File Open and choose even a small jpg, I get the hour glass and it PS hangs up. When I open the task manager, it shows that PS is not responding. Bridge works, but when I click on "Open Image", PS launches, but hangs up just like when I try to open a file.
