I have many images files. For each picture, I need a color field of the main color, so the one that is most commonly seen.
This color should be saved as a new image as background.How can I do it in Photoshop, so this is done automatically.
Now that SP2 is out and we can delete all in one sweep, is it possible to create a macro that would automatically delete all color styles as soon as any file is open? I never use that feature and would gladly pay for such a macro.

I'm trying to find a way to automatically set the stroke color of each square to the respective fill color. Is there an Illustrator script somewhere that would achieve that? I am not aware of an internal Illustrator command for this purpose.
View 8 Replies View Relatedphotoshop CS2 stoped displaying the red channel correctly on all images. The red channel displays very muted color.
After deleting all preferences of CS2, cleaning out the Windows registry, and upgrading to CS3 the problem still remains.
In CS3 however, the color shift goes away if I drag the image outside of Photoshop's main window.

Photoshop states that both of the large images are solid R:255 G:0 B:0. However, after print screening the images and pasting them back into Photoshop, it shows that the one on the left is actually R:201 G:88 B:34.
The same thing happens for green and blue as well, though the difference is much less dramatic.
I don't remember changing any settings and my laptop (Win XP, CS2) does not have this problem when loading the same images.
My computer is running VISTA 32bit with 3GB of ram. The graphics card is a NVIDIA 6800.
Is there a system variable or some other method to change the background color when using fields? It makes reading text very difficult. I realize I can turn off background for fields, but I don't want to do that. I want to change the background to a darker grey so one still knows it's a field but easier to read.

When I create a shape with a Pantone Color and then decrease the opacity in the color swatch palette, then go to my swatches palette and select "Select All Unused Colors" it highlights the pantone color being used in the file. In previous version, it never did this. This is for CS6. Any know fix for this?

Is there a way to apply a color to selected objects without having to search for the color in the color palette. So say if I am working with an image that has multiple colors but want to use only one of the colors in that image, is there a way to apply it without having to create or add it to the palette.

Is there a way to automatically generate layers based on color? I just downloaded a CAD object that's only got 1 layer but several different colored lines. It would be extremely painstaking if I had to take each and every line and place it on a different layer. It would be much easier if I could tell AutoCAD 2006 to simply split the object up by color and place each one on a different layer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have over 900 barcodes provided in EPS format. When I open them in illustrator, they are coming in as an RGB color space file. I need them gray scale solid black in CMYK color mode. I can batch using actions to convert the artwork using "Edit Colors > Convert to Grayscale". However, the document color mode remains RGB. It appears, even after using "Convert to Grayscale", that the RGB color mode goofs up the placed .ai file in InDesign, treating it as RGB and seeing it as a mix of CMYK rather than the 100% black only it needs to be for proper sharp printing.
The actions pallet doesn't record converting the document color mode. Is there a way to automate that file conversion so they are all saved as CMYK rather than RGB, or am I stuck opening each of the 900+ files manually?

I've tried numerous ways of blending screen/multiply, setting gradient smoothing to 0-100%, using layer masks, etc, etc - but when I compare my composite with a screenshot of the Photoshop color picker - I'm still not even close! :-(
Is the gradients non-linear? Is gamma involved?

Choose the Magic Wand tool , making sure "contiguous" is checked in the Options bar. Select the rectangle under "Monochromatic (Single Hue)". Press Alt+Backspace (Windows) or Option+Delete (Mac OS) to fill the selection with the foreground color.Â
#Open the Color Picker and select two values of your base color. Apply your color selections to the "Values" swatches.
Next, select two intensities, and apply to the "Intensities" swatches.
Now that you've got your color palette, combine the colors into a swatch set. Use the Rectangular Marquee tool to draw stripes and fill with the colors you've selected above. This is a space to experiment with how the colors look next to each other.
Ready for the fun part? Make a selection around the client logo using the Rectangular Marquee tool. The logo has been separated into layers to make color application easy. First, apply color to the "bg" layer. Sample a color swatch using the Eyedropper tool , then press Alt/Option-Backspace to fill with color.
Keeping the selection active, click the "top curves" layer. Sample a color with the Eyedropper tool, then press Alt / Option-Backspace. Move on to the "middle curves" layer. Select a color, and fill.

I'm about 3 months and many hours of tutorials into Premiere ProCC, Audition CC, and Encore CS6. Apparently the nifty dynamic links from PPro and Audition CS6 no longer work with encore, as encore was not upgraded to CC. So,
I want to sample color from an original Photoshop image, and create an Encore menu color set, so that my menu buttons, etc. are colored to match the main photo image in the menu. Is there an eyedropper kind of tool in Encore that would let me sample the color from the image, and then apply that to color swatches in the Encore button layers?

I have added a Layer Mask to the new layer and I'm trying to use the Brush Tool with black forground to cover part of the new layer. The problem:In PSE 10, when using the Eyedropper Tool or clicking on the Foreground Color or the Background Color, the Microsoft Microsoft "Color Dialogue Box" pops up instead of the "Adobe Color Picker" dialogue box. This started about a month ago. I use Windows 7.
