View 6 RepliesI am a long time Elements user (2,5, 8) using a PC. I recently installed PS Elements 11 on a Mac Book Pro OS X 10.7.5 I print from a Canon 9000 Mk II. I have never had printing problems until I installed 11 on the Mac. Prints are terrible usually dark and with a green tint. I have experimented for about a week on one print now unsucessfully trying to solve the problem. Elements is beautiful on screen and great to work with...just not making the trip to the printer. I have used this same printer many times with earlier versions with beautiful results.

Does anyone know how i can crop the price tag and make sure that that cropped area blends in with the book?
And if the book is a little bit yellowish as it is quite vintage, how do i touch up image?
ive been trying all day to get a decent button made for a jukebox program , the best i could do is attatched but its just still not right , im after a realistic looking button that looks like its on and off when pressed , off light blue/grey and on green , a nice metalic silver around the outside that looks a little 3d when small if thats possible i think im close but just need to be more realistic around the edges and lighting on the green on button i made the oblong button from the circle using the single selection line which i never new about , stretched one pixel across after splitting the circle in two , by the way if your after software for music this is a great program , if the right button is designed i could probably get it free or for a small amount its normally 50 bucks , if its a great button im sure ill get it free a squarer edge button would be better i think

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently deciding whether to invest money in buying Revit LT. I think that I need to do 3D views of interiors as my clients are being asked to provide them for presentation purposes. I would like to know if it is possible to produce decent 3D views in Architecture and render (even in a basic format) them too. If I can do this then I don't need to spend money on Revit LT or similar but maybe just some money on training.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to make a price list, using attributes in block and then extracting them to cell matching some cells with excel
While in data extr wizard for some reason I cant get the size column to set in ascending order.. Why does size 10 brake the logic?
Can I edit the extracted data without launching data extr wizard?
Data extr wizard brings a data in one table what if I want the table to display other types of attribute ( example see pic for instance instead of EL i have SS no problem until now, but my matched data link in excel is for EL and not for SS)
Its hard to explain Basicly i selected the column in excel for one type of attribute "EL" and I want fo a different name of same attribute different cell matching.

I need to generate some decent grain/noise bakground for web page of size 128x128 or similar size.
I found - Grain Generator at [URL] ...... but it does not allow setup a spicle/grain size only 1pixel. I want dirrerent and random sizes from 1x1px up to 4x4px size.
Can it be simply generated in PSP X2/X4 or some good even online generator?
When you select the option to apply any changes & overwrite your original photo does the program attempt to try to a default setting to keep the picture approximately the same size as it was before? (assuming that you haven't cropped it) If it doesn't default to a size automatically can is there an option to do so?

Anyway, on the bitmap is a certain colour which I got by changing the opacity of the original layer which had this colour.
Now, I want to get the original colour - before the opacity change. Is there a way I can calculate this? I really need the precise colour.

View 8 Replies View RelatedUsing Photoshop CS6, I opened a raw file in Camera Raw and made some adjustments. Then closed the file without opening it in Photoshop. I opened the same file in Camera Raw again and it remembered all of my adjustments. I want to reset the raw file back to its original before I made any adjustments. Is there a way to do that without having to go through each setting and changing them one by one?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the past I have almost always used Nikon's Capture NX2 as my RAW editor. In that, it's immediately obvious how to get back to the original NEF camera image, or even choose to go back to different stages in the editing history.
There seems no obvious way to do this in ACR. For example I made a mistake in a RAW edit, but when I reopened the RAW image again from Bridge I got the edited version with the unwanted error., I would like ACR to do what Nikon Capture can do.
I have also just found that, when trying to assign a keyword to this file in Bridge, I got got an "...error writing metadata" message. All the other NEF files in that folder (none of which have yet been edited in ACR) accepted the keywords with no problems.
Since writing the above, I have found that this "error writing metadata" is a common issue for which there seems no solution - it extends back to earlier versions of Bridge (I have CS6 64-bit with vety latest updates).
I need the word "JUVENILE" replaced with "MAGNOLIA", and "CHILD" replaced with "GHOST" also "WILL SMITHS GHOST WRITER" completely deleted. I need the replacement text to look exactly the same as the original.

I reset the tools, checked that layers is not locked, etc. I know it must be something dumb - I just can't find any reference in the book or on the knowledgebase.

I open an image in ACR, make adjustments to it.
I open the image in Photoshop, and make a Duplicate.
I close the first image (Not the Copy), and select "NO" for "Do you wish to save changes"
I go back into bridge, and view the RAW file, and though I selected "NO" for changes, the image retains the changes/adjustments made in ACR.
Is there any simple way to return the RAW file to the original state as it appeared prior to ACR adjustments?
The only way I've found to do it is to keep separate files of the original RAW files on another drive.
I am using Photoshop CS2 and have windows XP.
I want to create images that simulate original artwork such as oil paintings so that the images show brush strokes, layers of paint and paint blobs?
I intend to print the images onto canvas to simulate original artwork.
This is a huge problem for me, and it's getting incredibly annoying.
This issue is when I import an image (drag and drop, or other ways as well) into Photoshop and the image appears in a really small size. I need to be extremely percise in all of my projects by the pixel, I can't have it going a single pixel larger or smaller. But when I drag it in, it shows up much smaller and I have to drag the boundries to make it larger. I basically just want to drag a 64x96 image in, and have it actually show up as 64x96, not incredibly smaller.
I don't know the size of a portion on the canvas, because I can't just guess, so it's impossible to actually stretch it to its original size and actually be accurate.
In CS3 I would duplicate an image in order to soft-proof before printing. By going from full to partial screen I could then identify both original and duplicates and could pull them into adjacent positions. In CS6 that doesn't work How do I separate my two images and place them next to each other?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a folder structure with 30+ image galleries and the client uploaded original files form their DSLR - causing them to display slowly on their website.
I have an action that changes the images to fit in a 800x800 size, "Save for the Web" over the original image.
This works just fine and if I run it on one directory I'm ok - but I would like to run it on all 30+ directories with a batch command.
I see that I can tell the batch to run on all subs, bit the issue is that it is saving the file in the directory specified int he action.
I know I can override the destination, but that only allows me to select one directory?
I need the images to stay in their original directories?
One more note - I know I can use the Image Processor script, but this is goign to use the Save As command vs the Save for the Web - the differance in file size is significent. ie. in my example file the Save As image at a Quality of 5 is 36K and the Save for the Web at a quality of 45 is 14k - with over 3,000 images to process and store this is a huge differance.
I was given a pdf by a customer. It's not quite laied out well for print so I need to move around some items. Unfortunitly not all the items are moveable in Arobat X pro. So I figured I would make the edits in PS5. Everything works well except the color after I have edited the page in PS is darker and muddier. I have no access to the orignal raw file so I have to edit the PDF. Is there a way to make sure the edited pdf matches the original? I tried opening the selected page of the pdf in both RGB and CMYK mode. I am using acrobat x pro and Photoshop Cs5 on mac oc 10.6.8.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been working on a painting for a few days, and after I was done with the underpainting, I saved the file as another one with a different name, and continued work on that file.
I had finished it, saved, and left photoshop open for a few hours. Later today I came back to it to make some final adjustments and while I was drawing, it suddenly and apparently for no reason reverted to the state it was when I first saved it (that is, like the original file).
I know there's probably no way to recover the file how it was before this thing happened, but what might have happenedSomething weird though, is that I opened the original file, the first one, and it had bits of the work that was supposed to be saved on the newer file.
Some of my files I open in CS6 open really tiny.....like 0.044% or the original size. Is ther a setting I can change to have then open larger.....
