View 1 RepliesI've got an image that is basically banner style:
--------------------------------
|Flag1|Flag2|Flag3|Flag4|
--------------------------------
It has four different country flags on it. What I'd like to do is turn that image into a circular image. Hopefully you know what I mean. I've tried to use the shear filter but can't get it to look right.
I drew an image and now want to edit it in photoshop cs3 or illustrator, I want make what ever line that suppose to be vertical or horizontal straight, and curvy line even. Overall I want to make my image outline straight and even, I drew it freehand so it is hard to make a perfect straight and even line.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working with vector art that has lines that either look like they were cut off and not finished out or extend to the edge of the page so they are straight when they should actually be curved.
Is there any way to take a straight line or part of an image and curve it with ease or will I have to redraw or alter each line?
using element 11 after opening a raw image the raw image editor will not open

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Gimp 2.8.6.Try as I might, I'm still trying to figure out how to effectively 'merge' 3 shots of the same scene taken at 3 different exposures (using the exposure bracketing feature on my camera). The idea is to end up with the equivalent of an HDR image.
I assume that I open the first image and then open the other two as layers . .
I have been using gimp now for about 2 months and have just upgraded my OS to Mavericks and upgraded Gimp to 2.8.8.
Upon doing this I seem to have lost the ability to copy/cut an image or part thereof from one open image into another... Example:
I have an image window open with a picture a car and I have an image window open with a race track back ground.
I want to copy the car from image 1 into image 2, but for some reason I cannot do this function anymore. When attempting it, once the item is copies to the clipboard and I then swap to the second image, when I paste as a new layer it pastes the clipboard from that image and not the image from the first window...
The image appears in the Camera Raw window. I click to open it and all that comes up in the workspace is the image's name / text but no image. When I click open in a new window I get a blank window with the same name.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI read in a book on adobe raw that it is often useful to open an image at the same time with the adobe camera raw bridge plug in and the Photoshop camera raw plug in.
Â
I can open a raw image in Photoshop but I suspect I am not actually getting access to the camera raw plug in as none of the controls present in the bridge raw plug seem to be available from within Photoshop.
Â
Of course I can access bridge and the bridge raw plug in by opening bridge from within Photoshop but this is not what I want to do. I would like to open the image using the Photoshop raw plug in not the bridge plug in.
Canon 50d / working with Raw image and can't open the image with Photoshop. But I could open with EOS utility but want to work with Photoshop.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just recieved a CD with all product pictures from Japan. The images are in .psd format. When I tried to open the image, the "new" window pops up instead of the image. After I click "ok", a blank new document opened.
Also, when I tried to copy the images from the CD to my computer, this error message pop up "The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable".
I don't know is it the CD that got damaged, or does it make a different if the person who created this image is used Mac (since I'm using PC).
After a virus I reinstalled photoshop CS3 and OS(XP). Since then I cannot open any image. Raw opens ok but no subsequent image.
On a comment elsewhere in this forum I created a second user with admin priviliges(also as first user) and using this user, photoshop operates ok.
every time I open up an image file in CS5 all I get is a file box containing a couple of large pixel looking shapes. When I hover the mouse over the file my image appears but disappears again when the cursor moves out of the file. I cannot work on any file. I have just loaded up a second copy of my CS5 onto my PC at home. The original copy is on my pc at work.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled (with all updates) Photoshop 6 completely and they same thing happens. Photoshop 32bit works perfectly so I know it isn't the computer.
is there a way to open an image in camera raw within photoshop cs6 (on a PC)? or do I have to use bridge to do this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI like to work on the same image in two different windows in photoshop. I like to see different options with editing on two or sometimes open the original image again to apply image to tone down editing. When I click open in photoshop through LR4 it just goes to the file I was working on and doesn't open new copy. How can I open same file twice in raw format?

I just decide to finally use my cs6Â photoshop and when i try to open an image in photoshop the board remains blank but the layer panel says there is an image and shows a preview of the image like it normally does in the layer panel. Everything else works fine but the image won't show at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been having a issue with Photoshop not opening any PSD of image file of any kind. I searched forums and discussions and tried all of the fixes that some people with the same symptoms were able to overcome this with.
One suggestion was to use a different windows login, with this I created a seperate login to my Windows7 x64, and when logged into this windows profile Photoshop works as expected , all features work normally. This issue first presented to me after upgrading to PS CS6, and for many months I have removed passwords from my computer so that I could use fast user switching between profiles, this is tedious at best. Today I upgraded to Photoshop CC hoping that the end of this issue would be taken care of in the new version, unfortunately-NO
how to see that's half the battle here, trying to figure out how to ask theblasted question so someone can help me.....have one image open and insert another image over it. Like a large image and then a smaller image in a corner or in the center. Or how to make a collageof images.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have created a graphics file around 150 MB. When I try to open it in Photoshop, it gives an error message after trying to load...
"cannot open file because a disc error occured."
Some more info: I'm running on an iBook 2001 model (G3 processor, 600 Mhz, 384 MB RAM), the file is a psd (Photoshop) file.
I currently have around 2.85 GB left on my HD and I tried increasing the memory usage in prefs to around 300MB. I even tried using my HD as secondary scratch disc and purged cache in file browser. I figured this might free up some room. I also figure this might be a problem of space, so I tried backing up some files onto CD.
I just installed it and picked an image to try a few things with. When I open up any of the filter windows (for sharpening and others etc) my image does not open up in the adjustment window. Any idea why that is happening? Did I miss something when I installed the program? Is there a setting that should be set and isn't? I have Vista on my lap top, and XP-SP3 on my desktop, and it is the same in both.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open images in Photoshop CS2 they open at 33%. As I have a 19" screen and edit 100's of images a day I would like to change the "default" to open the images at 50% instead. Occasionally they open at 50% automatically but I don't know what I've done to make it happen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy when I open a second image in CS4, does the first disappear?
Does anyone know why this happens, or what I can do about it?
In CS2 I would sometimes have as many as 4 images open on my desktop at once.
I've got Photoshop but I don't know how to use it, and I love to see all the graphics people create and want to see if I can produce anything myself...I basically know how to open an image file, that's it
So what is the best way to learn Photoshop? Is there a book(s), a Bible, that everyone uses, or some other method?
