I like to work on the same image in two different windows in photoshop. I like to see different options with editing on two or sometimes open the original image again to apply image to tone down editing. When I click open in photoshop through LR4 it just goes to the file I was working on and doesn't open new copy. How can I open same file twice in raw format?

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen a user rasterizes a color image in Illustrator and then copies it into Excel and saves the file the image turns black and white. I uninstalled and reinstalled the whole suite already, deleted the perference files that i could find. and also look at the rasterizing settings they are the same as mine and another user. Any other things I can try? Where are the default rasterize settings stored at?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue that cropped up as of late - I try to create a virtual copy of a photo, but instead of the normal page-turn icon in the bottom left and it auto-expanding to show the copies, it just creates a stack, and says "2" or "1 of 2" and the double line bars on both sides of the preview in Grid Mode. Is there a setting that I changed that caused that?

i ve no problems with the changes in the eyes image, but dont know how to fill a new blank image with multiple copies of the eyes.
how can i print the same image multiple times in the print screen i will go the the print/copies box and increase the nunber or copies to lets ay 3 and i still will only get 1 print oer print job so i will have to repeat this 2 more times just to get 3 prints

I used the Place command to bring high resolution images into a canvas of a much lower resolution. I've already spent a lot of time scaling and positioning the images on the canvas. But it turns out, I would now like to do certain editing on the original pixels of the images because of their greater resolution. Of course, that defeats the purpose of Smart Objects for non-destructive editing.
But there's no reason I can't keep two copies of an original image in a file, and destructively edit only one copy, right?
I am using Photoshop Elements 10 on Win 7 PC. I am trying to print multiple copies of one image on a single 8.5x11 sheet of paper? The images are artwork for buttons (to be used in button-making machine) so the dimensions must be exact on the duplicated images. When I select Picture Package, the images are resized to fit the dimensions in the picture package. When I select Contact Sheet, the images are resized to fit the number of columns I selected. Neither is acceptable. How can I repeat the same image on a single piece of paper without having the system re-size the image? I know that I can manually create a new PSE file and manually insert the images into this file. This is what I have been doing as a work-around.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have created virtual copies of an image in Lightroom 4 and I am wondering what will happen to these if I delete the folder containing the master image and its virual copies from the LR4 catalog? Will the virtual copies be automatically deleted? If so, is this reversible in any way? Will i recover these virual copies if I add the folder back into LR's catalog later on?
Also will Adobe Bridge be able to read these virtual copies in both before and even after the folder has been removed from LR4? Or is the 'virtual copy' functionality specific to LR and that the only way to preserve it is to keep the original image within LR and never delete it?
Windows Explorer set to open image files with PSE11, but when I double click on image in WE it launches PSE11, but I then need to click on Open tab in PSE11 to get it into work window. PSE10 did not have this problem

I would like to make a Shape ~ a Rounded Rectangle ~ and then I want to make a total of six that are exactly the same and aligned one under the other with the exact same amount of space between them.
I recall watching a video one time and it showed how to easily do this without just using the Alt key to make one Copy/Duplicate at a time etc. The author of the video made one Shape at the top and then an other at the bottom and the she went to the menu/options bar and chose something that allowed her to enter a number such as 6 (being the total sum) and then Boom!, they were all made and aligned perfectly.
I have a stock photo that I want to use that looks perfect except it is too small for what I wanted to use it for. I managed to aquire the same identicle image, only larger but the colors look totally different. Is there a quick and easy way (plugin or 3rd arty app even?) to make the second image's colors take on the exact same colors as the smaller copy? I really need to spend some time learning color correction, I know, but you'd think there'd be a one click solution for something like this.

Upon doing this I seem to have lost the ability to copy/cut an image or part thereof from one open image into another... Example:
I have an image window open with a picture a car and I have an image window open with a race track back ground.
I want to copy the car from image 1 into image 2, but for some reason I cannot do this function anymore. When attempting it, once the item is copies to the clipboard and I then swap to the second image, when I paste as a new layer it pastes the clipboard from that image and not the image from the first window...
I have two MACs, one runs cs3 photoshop and the other runs cs6 photoshop. I cannot figure out for the life of my why I can only save 614 images on my flashdrive when using cs6 and I can get almost 1900 files (from the same folder where the 614 files came from) on the same type of flash drive when I use cs3.
Does cs6 store hidden copies of each file that I open and process? Or is the image size settings set larger than they are in cs3? It's becoming very costly having to use 2-3 customized flashdrives per client when I should only be using one per client
I can't determine if I've encountered a bug or operator oversight. From within LR 5.2 I opened an adjusted [NEF] file in PSCC (not as a smart object) and added adjustment layers, etc. With file still open in PS, I returned to LR, made a virtual copy, changed LR adjustments, and attempted to "Edit in..." I simply get referred back to the existing canvas. I'd like to work with both, side by side, and save when I'm ready.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had it when CS5 was new. Now it has returned after 3 years. I get an unpredictable number of copies from my HP Office jet Pro 8000 Wireless printer when printing from Photoshop CS5. I do not have the same problem printing from other programs.
The problem is that I don't get the number of copies I ask for. If I set the number at 4 I may get only one. Some time later if I ask for 1 I may get 4 or 3 or 2. HP support asked me to "clear the print cache" by stopping and restarting the print spooler in the "services" list. That rectified the problem when it first happened, but now it has returned and the same process seems not to be working.
I have been going through my catalog & find hundreds of old pictures what I should delete as they will almost certainly never be looked at or used again. If they were to be reused I could probably only need a copy that was much smaller in size. Rather than just delete them I was considering making the files size much smaller.
Is there any way yo use the batch processing tool to resize hundreds & have them saved by overwriting the old copy rather than have them as a version set? I didn't want to do this one at a time.
I want to rename multiple files, but each time I try, it creates two copies of each file, and as they are numbered sequentially, I cannot just delete the extra ones at once. I don't understand why it does this, and how I can avoid it!
