1. Elements 11 Organizer often creates multiple copies of the same picture. How can I stop this?
2. Many pictures has a small questionmark in the upper left corner, stating that the file is missing, even though I can see the picture (a bit blurred, but still). What's wrong?
i have an image of a babys eyes and want to make a page of that same image in mono, sepia, taking out the green, blue etc. in other words, all different representations of the eyes on one image.
i ve no problems with the changes in the eyes image, but dont know how to fill a new blank image with multiple copies of the eyes.
When i edit a picture and save it, it saves both copies in my organizer as edited rather than leaving the original as is.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop Elements 10 on Win 7 PC. I am trying to print multiple copies of one image on a single 8.5x11 sheet of paper? The images are artwork for buttons (to be used in button-making machine) so the dimensions must be exact on the duplicated images. When I select Picture Package, the images are resized to fit the dimensions in the picture package. When I select Contact Sheet, the images are resized to fit the number of columns I selected. Neither is acceptable. How can I repeat the same image on a single piece of paper without having the system re-size the image? I know that I can manually create a new PSE file and manually insert the images into this file. This is what I have been doing as a work-around.

What I want to try and do is merge all the photos into one photo that I can then print on T shirts for our family trip (18 people). View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen creating .WMV from a slideshow in Organizer (11), the photographs aren't showing up. They seem fine in the slideshow, but when I output to .WMV I get the audio but not the pics. I have done this many times before and it has worked fine, not sure why it isn't working now.
I am trying to take these to Premier Elements to create a DVD with menus. If I take the slideshow/project, rather than a .WMV, it tells me it doesn't like .jpg and I get some black frames. In the past, if I created .WMVs.
I recently upgraded from PSE5 to PSE12. The installation went smoothly and my old Catalog was imported without a hitch. After my first test run to edit a file, I did a "Save As" in a version set with the original. I then closed the file, but when I went to the organizer, it was not there. When I go to the folder in Windows Explorer, the edited file is present - I just can't get it to appear (alone or in a version set) in the Organizer. (FYI, I am running Windows 8).

Im using the program for longer times without any problem.But since nearly a week the new pictures, i import to my PC will not shown as a miniature in the organizer screen. i only see a sand-glass. Older pictures are already to see and i can select a single picture to see just this one...it will be shown.
I try to reorganize my catalog...doesn't change.
Is it possible to make a new folder inside organizer? Rather than having to make the folders in Finder(OSX)/my Computer (win) and then import them....?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt is a pity the dialog of the 'reconnect missing files' can list the missing files in a small window, but there is no option to export the list with full paths as a text file.
Knowing that the list is saved somewhere (probably in the catalog folder) I have searched if I could find how the information about missing files is stored in the Organizer. Natural candidates like the catalog.psexxdb and thumbs.5.cache sqlite databases did not show anything showing they stored the information.
So, I had a look at the thumbs.5.cache, which is interesting. It shows that two sizes of thumbnails are stored there, and that the criteria for matching are date taken and file size.
Now, I compared an optimized version of that file with a reconstructed one (I deleted the cache file).
Interestingly, you can see which media_id still have the matching criteria. I conclude that the other media_id are the missing files...
If Photodrawken is looking at this post : Could you check this supposition and see if a sqlite query could extract the list of the missing media?
It will be interesting to see if the next PSE version has a better handling of missing files... Seems that LR handles that problem much better.
Edit: The 'status' field in the thumbnail_info_table of the thumbs.5.cache database seems to be set at '2' for missing files.
I have several duplicates of photos that I somehow created. I need to delete lots of duplicates. I see how to do it one folder at a time. However I have hundereds ! There must be a way to select more than one folder at a time for deletion. How or if it can (or cannot) be done ?

I imported all my pictures into Organizer. As it turns out, that included dozens of subfolders containing near-duplicate images, which now all show up in Organizer. That is because I previously used Google Picasa, which backs up the unprocessed original images into a subfolder called .picasaoriginals. I want to remove all these .picasaoriginals folders, but the only wny I can find to do it is to right-click each one individually, click Delete Folder, then confirm in the dialog box. I can't find any way to multi-select the folders.
Also, I have two of these folders that appear shaded in the folder list, where the option to delete is greyed-out. The contents report as not found, and my guess is that the folders have been deleted from the disk. How do I get rid of these from the folder list in Organizer?
I cannot select more than 1 tag and drag & drop them onto pic. PE12 forces me to apply 1 at a time. PE11 worked fine

I find I can duplicate the photo and then drag and drop it, but each step takes literally a minute to complete (in explorer it is 1 second or less). To move a hundred photos one at a time to different folders would take quite a while.
so I tried to pull them in from the FILE button get new files and it won't because the photo exists in another folder in the catalog.

I downloaded all of my I-photo files into the Organizer but would like to delete them now that I realize they are all jumbled up and basically useless. There are 5,000 photos & several hundred folders. I can't figure out how to select multiple folders to delete them from the organizer.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have this script that basically makes a shape expand by adding an outline, conveting the outline to an object, and then welding the whole thing together.
I have the script set to execute with hotkey ctrl+numpad+
The odd thing is, when I run it once, it seems to work fine and only one object is left, but when I hold down ctrl and press numoad+ over and over again, it seems to produce a new copy of the object everytime.
I'm not sure why this is happening, but I need to get it to stop.

Does Photoshop have a multiple print option outside of the pciture package feature. I need to print multiple copies of one piece of art work. So say i make a post card or a business card and iwant 37 copies of it or i want to see how many can fit on one page. Does that make sense?
