Photoshop :: Why Is 3D Rendering Crashing After Only Minute
Nov 30, 2012
I'm not getting an error or anything, but the blue grid that follows the area being rendered eventually stops moving, and Photoshop becomes frozen at that point. I have to use the Task Manager to shut it down.
Video card: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Operating System: Windows 7 (64-bit)
RAM: 6 GB
I used Catalyst to install all the latest drivers. I did that when I had CS5. I was trying to do 3D stuff with CS5, but that version wasn't able to detect my GPU, so I got CS6. I've been doing 3D stuff for the past couple days without much issue. I mean, the rendering was slow, but never halted.
I thought maybe it was the size of my document, so I reduced the size, and the rendering process got a little further, but still eventually crashed.
I am trying to render a 40 minute project as a blu-ray H264 1920x1080 file that I can then play on windows media player. I normally have no problems on short 5 min projects but on this one it tells me "frame 2914 unreadable" how do I find frame 2914?
Is there a reason that After Effects keeps crashing and only getting to a certain render point when pressing "0"? If I split projects into different compositions I don't tend to get the same issues, but it's more pain than it's worth spiting one video into 4 parts.
For the longest time if I ever tried to export or render a video longer than 5 minutes, my Premiere Pro or Media Encoder crashes. I don't know why but it is EXTREMELY irritating when attempting to make lengthened gaming videos. I have tried 15 different methods all online, to no avail. It always crashes around the 40% mark in Adobe Premiere and it isn't a corrupt project.

My Photoshop CS3 (Windows XP) all of a sudden takes over a minute to open any file. The programs starts fine, then when I select a file to open, the program pauses, then hangs for over a minute and the photoshop window becomes blank before the file finally appears.
When I try to output a 4 minute slideshow to WMV. the file saved is the correct length but has only converted half the content of the slide show, halfway through the audio continues but it freezes on one photo. last week I made a 7 minute slide show with the same settings and jepg. sizes and it worked fine? I am opening Organizer as Administrator. I have Windows 8. As a last resort I was going to re-install Elements 10 but I can't deactivate it.
I am cloning a photo... no problem... I changed the resolution, then the clone stamp doens't do anything. I changed the resolution back, still doesn't work.
I click on the color I want it to clone using the option key (I have a mac), then when I put it on the area that I want to change, nothing happens.
And everytime I change my brush settings in photoshop. it doesn't change anything. Everytime I turn off Shape dynamics the minute my pen touches the board it turns on!
I've recently purchased autocad light 2013 and I'm unable to draw anything in minute detail - curser/drawing tool becomes very "sticky" as opposed to fluid. This has never been an issue with any of the previous versions I've used.
Using VS 9 to create an 82 minute project I'm trying to export it as an AVI file. At the end of the rendering process I get the message "insufficient space". I've tried twice, once on C drive which shows 340GB unused and also on an external drive that shows 196GB unused.
I've noticed that on the timeline the clips total 1hr 22min but there is then a long empty portion that goes to 3hr 10min.
Every minute or so, I loose audio on playback (timeline or sources). The only thing that seems to fix the issue is cycling between AES BNC (or XLR) to Embedded and back, and the audio will playback fine again . . . for a few minutes, and then I need to recycle it again. I've restarted Smoke, restarted the computer, and down a full shut down and restarted . . . and the issue continues.
I am trying to have iLogic change the custom property format for my user parameters. I am able to work with linear measurements, but I would like to also work with angular measurements. I want my angular units to be "Degrees" the format to be "Deg-Min-Sec" and the precision to be DD MM.
Below is my code to change the units to deg, but I can't change the format or precision:
Dim oPartDoc As PartDocument oPartDoc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument Dim oParameter As Parameter Dim oFormat As CustomPropertyFormat
Is there a way to split a really long video into 10 minute chunks during export? I know I can do this post export with other software, but I would've thought it could be doable straight in Premiere Pro (using CC).
Create a path snapped to pixel. Disable align to pixel on all paths. Select the entire path and create a new symbol with align to pixel disabled OR (it makes no difference) create a new symbol from a temporary path and then paste in place. Everything looks good. Paths are aligned to pixel. Exit isolation symbol mode. Go back into isolation mode.
All your paths are offset by miniscule amounts causing them to bleed into each other. You can't realign your paths with snap to pixel because snap to pixel doesn't work for a set of paths because it snaps to a random path or something.
Or you can enable align to pixel and have the copy paste completely mess up your paths.
Why would you expand paths that are snapped to pixel by a miniscule amount on a paste?
why i cannot change the color of the background when rendering? It is always black, and i cannot attached or make new material, if need to attach jpeg or new texture on my drawing, cannot create new material. what should i do? im currently using autocad for mac 2012.
I'm having a problem with my Corel x6, every time I try to start the application it stuck for a minute or so on the splash screen and then I get error 1 (Try to restarting your computer and then restarting the program).
cleaned up the fonts and its still crashing by simply scrolling thru to find a file to open and to make matters worse, my CS2 which hardly ever crashed now crashes just opening it. I am rather beside myself, I have an iMac running 10.6.8 with 4GB of memory. I would love to copy and paste the crash report but it's not letting me do that.
My Photoshop CC on my Mac (10.8.4) started acting up yesterday. I have tried to validate fonts, reset fonts to default, remove preferences file, restarting, signing out and quitting CC then signing back in, uninstalling the new fonts I installed yesterday, but nothing so far has worked.
I've been running CS5 on my Win 7 64 bit Asus laptop for 6 months without an issue. All of a sudden CS5 has started to crash when I run Photomerge, view the System Info, etc.
I have updated the Intel HD 3000 driver. I have updated CS5. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CS5. I have disabled OpenGL.
CS2 Photoshop is crashing quite often on a Macbook Pro.
PS 9.0.2 (no available updates) OSX 10.6.8 (using Rosetta obviously) 2.7Ghz Core2Duo 4GB RAM
I've tried reinstalling CS2, reparing premissions and a new user account.
The issue can occur when opening the program, opening a file or doing nearly any action when a file is open. No specific file seems to be causing it, sometimes it will run without a problem for an entire day and other it's constantly crashing.
Here is one of the crash logs from the OSX diaglog after PS has crashed:
I downloaded the Photoshop CC/LR5 combo a few days ago, and since then the programs have been crashing my PC. (I've attached a screenshot.) This has happened at least 8 times, twice already this morning. Before I upgraded, I was using CS3 and LR4 and never had this issue.
3. the screen goes BLACK (dies) but the keyboard is still lit up, i can't do anything except force shutdown the computer
at first i didn't know what was causing it, but after it happen over 20 times while scaling an image (dragging by the corner) i am sure it is due to photoshop.
I'm running mac OS X 10.6.8 ... this is super annoying as i am losing files and time!!
As soon as I open a photo an resize it, the most basic function that I can think of for this product... it crashes I have run updates, I have looked through all of the forums here etc Nothing that relates to me or that has worked so far.
I just joined Creative Cloud. I uninstalled my trial versions of CS6 (which were working just fine) and then installed CC versions of them. After Effects CC is working great. Photoshop CC, however, keeps on quitting the moment I try do something like apply an effect or resize the image. I'm not get a crash report from the Adobe Crash Reporter so here's the Apple crash report. I'm running 10.8.4 on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro '13 i5.
