View 5 Replies.jpg export screen shows a solid black area instead of my graphic image - why? but when I open the .jpg file that was exported, it looks correct (not a large black rectangle). why is the preview window in the export window showing a large black area? see attached screenshot.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a guitar pick jpeg that is a black pen line filled with white I am using for a design. I placed the pick image into Ai and now can't figure out how to change it. I just want to select the image, and transform it into just an outline of the pick, all transparent everywhere except the outline shape of the pick. Almost the same as if I had drawn the pick with the pen tool, but I don't want to have to draw it.

View 3 Replies View Relatedway to turn a color image to black n white,
I use enhance > color > remove color ,
on a picture. i can turn a blue object into yellow, green or any other color. and vice versa.
To do that i know 5 different ways, or combination of those methods.
1- Hue/Saturation
2- Color Balance
3- Selective Color
4- Replece Color (Similar to Hue/Saturation)
5- select the area, create a new layer, paint the selected area on new layer, blend the new layer with "linear burn".
but when it comes to black, i can't change the black to another color with any of the ways above. So i was wondering if it is possible to turn a black object into white without killing the texture. Or cleaning the object from colors, making it colorless.
best way i know so far is playing with "exposure" settings. but this time the objcet on the image is becoming blure and loosing its texture.
Here is the object i m trying to make white (or colorless). Do you know any way to do it?
i need to make that shoe as white/colorless as this one below.

I had this problem once before (months ago). I know it has something to do with the Resource Consumption settings (i.e. Edit -> Preferences -> Environment - > Resource Consumption).
I got it figured out before but I reloaded Gimp on my computer so the settings went back to default. It has something to do with increasing the cache size or the total new image size or something. I can't remember.
I just installed Photoshop through Creative Cloud and my Liquify filter screen is totally black and doesn't show the image. You would think the default setting would be to show the image or layer,

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I am working in Photoshop CS, I often use the 'F' command to isolate an image in the middle of a gray space. However, if one selects the image with the selection or crop tool, a too rigourous gesture suddenly causes Photoshop to slide the image away, so then only a part will still be visible. As long as this function is in effect, there seems to be no way to get the entire image centered again in order to determine the crop precisely. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Setting up new monitor.Has this ever worked before? No and yes, monitor is new but, I still have Photoshop CS6 and that works fine. What other software are you running? At the moment: Chrome, AI, Calendar, Textedit, and System Preferences.Tell us about your computer hardware. MacBook Pro with 15" Retina display (set to the "More Space" setting), 8GB RAM, 2.4 GHz i7, 172GB free space on the SSD. Monitor is Hanns.G HE225DPB 1920x1080 at 60HzHas this ever worked before?
As I drag the window back and forth between the external display and my laptop display, the previous state briefly shows. When I drag it to the external monitor it looks ok for a split second in vertical bands that refresh to solid black. Same when I'm dragging the window back, the window remains black on my main laptop monitor until it refreshes back to normal, in the same vertical-band fashion. The frame of the window, including rulers looks ok, but the image area, including the canvas color turns black. This blackness can be captured in a screenshot.
On the PNG that is working, I do get some black as the image resizes between displays (stays at 100% but on the lower res monitor it doubles in size). In CS6 the image does not resize, the % changes (16.67 on external, 33.33% on laptop) and remains approximately the same size.

Perhaps this is more of a bug than something I can do anything about, but I am unable to login to Photoshop.com. I get an "it is no longer possible to create an account" message, even though I already have an account.
How can i change the solid black color to photoshop color?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just installed CS4 and every picture I try to open in photoshop (jpg, jpeg, bmp, etc..) all open as a solid black picture.
but on the right side of the page under layers I can see the little pic preview clearly as the background, but on the screen it's just solid black.
I've been having this problem ever since I installed Photoshop CS5 (12.0.4) on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. I've used the program on a Windows Vista 64-bit PC in the past with no problems.
Â
Any color that has zero red information will turn black when in RGB mode and in either 8 or 16-bit mode. If I use the paintbrush, for example, a color with RGB 0/100/100 will be black. However, the color 1/100/100 will not. This problem also occurs with imported images. I've only tried JPEG and PNG so far. The problem does not save out though, as any image exported from Photoshop will appear fine. The issue seems to go away when in 32-bit mode, but it's a little RAM-intensive, and the file sizes are quite large.

I have reinstalled Photoshop, reset its preferences, and reinstalled my video card's drivers (I have a Radeon HD 7870). My PC has 8 GB of RAM and plenty of free hard drive space.Below is a screencap of what's going on.

I want to initially take existing clothing and change the colours and add designs. As an example, how would I get this soccer kit to be either all white or white on everything apart from the shorts?
I have managed to get yellow to go white using the hue/saturation tool but dark colours seem like its impossible. I do also want to know how to go from white to a darker colour but maybe I should save that for my next thread.
I've only just started having a problem with Photoshop. I'm running it on Mac OSX

My images will randomly take a chunk out of all layers, and the background will turn black where it was originally white. In one case all the layers on my canvas were distorted by a checker pattern of bright colours. All the images I am currently working on are in RGB mode which were hand drawn black and white images that were scanned.

I'm not sure what is going on but closing the image without saving and the closing photoshop and even restarting my computer doesn't seem to fix the problem.
