Photoshop :: (ctrl+option+drag) Stopped Resizing Brushes?
May 6, 2013(ctrl+option+drag) stopped resizing my PS brushes and now just pulls the app frame around. How to turn it back on? (this is the resize brush feature + opacity using the ctrl+option keys and a drag up/down, left/right).

Nov 9, 2013as the place I work at recently upgraded their PS version to CS6 and basically rendered my Intuos 4 completely useless because of the damn Alt/Ctrl modifier, which seems to control the "drag to create a copy of the layer function" regardless of the tool you're using.

It might be specific for my region, but Alt+Ctrl or Alt Gr modifer is used in order to reach certain keystokes, such as ], [, @, so when by default the brush size function on my wacom is linked to a "[" (alt+ctrl+f windows function), my tablet completely flips out and starts sending a mix of Alt, Ctrl and Alt + Ctrl function controls instead of the [ which I'm trying to use.

Alt + w/e functions work just fine, but I can't use any modifer using the alt+ctrl+w/e combo that involves creating a symbol, even while using the keyboard. For example, I can use the alt+ctrl+z command to undo something, but if I linked my brush tool to a "§", which is invoked by calling the alt+ctrl+m windows command, it will act as a normal ctrl + m command and open the curves window.

Lightroom :: 4 - Cannot Get Ctrl E To Successfully Push Raw Image To PS CS6
Jun 24, 2012I just downloaded PS CS6 and LR 4 to both my desktop and laptop. From LR, I use control + E to push the raw image over the PS CS6 and it works on my laptop but *not* on my desktop. I have LR 4.1 and also camera raw 7.1 on both my laptop and desktop so I'm updated.

For some reason on my laptop I'm able to successfully use control + E to push the raw image to CS6 and it opens sucessfully but *not* on my desktop. When I do this on my desktop it just opens PS CS6 but that's it. The raw image never appears.

I've made sure that the LR 4 preferences setttings are the same on both my laptop and desktop. I've even rebooted.

Mar 19, 2013I recently started working with Illustrator CS6, and noticed that the Transform option panel in the top tool bar is listed as a word, which i need to click on in order to access the x/y coordinates and the object height and width values. I was wondering if there was a way to set this toolbar so that these options are locked in the tool bar so that i don't need to always click on the word to expand it out. I have included a screenshot of the tool bar as it exists. Also the align options are set up in this way as well.Â

Apr 26, 2009tryng to resize some pictures for the web I notice under Image ---- image size a button marked Auto. Pressed it and it increased by print resolution from 91 to 266 ( whichI think is a commercial printing resolution) However when I now reduced the image in size I got a better end product. So I've searched the help file for info on what/how this auto button does but can't find anything.

Mar 24, 2012I have installed both version 2.6.11 and also version 2.4.7 of the Windows version of Gimp that I have downloaded from here [URL]
When I launch Gimp, and select File / Open from the main menu, neither TIF/TIFF nor JPG/JPEG files are listed when "All Images" is selected in the file type drop-down listbox. If I select "All Files", and then select either a TIFF or JPEG file, then an error message appears stating "Unknown file type". The specific types listed in the file type drop down list box include:
GIMP XCF image (*.xcf)
bzip archive (*.xcf.bz2, *.bz2, *.xcfbz2)
Dexktop Link (*.desktop)
G3 fax image (*.g3)
GIF image (*.gif)
gzip archive (*.xcf.gz, *.gz, *.xcfgz)
Photoshop image (*.psd)
I have read here: [URL] that, "Some of the file types, such as JPEG and TIFF, require extra libraries (described elsewhere)." I have no idea where "elsewhere" is.
I have completely uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled both version 2.6.11 and 2.4.7 with the exact same results each time. The program otherwise works as advertized, with no errors or problems that I am aware of.
Am I missing something here? All indications are that GIMP (Even the Windows version) natively supports TIFF / TIF and JPEG / JPG files, but that is certainly not my experience!
I am specifically interested in opening TIFF / TIF files.
