Dec 2, 2012I think i remember spotting something of the like somewhere around the forums, where there is another sub menu, like 'Artistic' or 'Blurs'. One that is called 'Favourites' and you can choose your favourite plugins to put into it in the Effects folder in program files?
(Maybe in PDN 4 a way of doing this in the software, maybe right click on the effect to Uninstall, Add To Favourites etc)
Photoshop :: Whats Wrong With Ps 7 Guides
Apr 10, 2004i have recently switched to ps 7 and i find myself wanting to go back to my 5.5
what is wrong with the guides in there? when using the snap to guide, and i select something within the guides, the stupid selection sometimes falls short or too big by 1 pixel. this renders the whole purpose of the guides useless.
i also find that its much harder to set the guides to match up. i set them, sometimes even zoomed in at 200-300% and when i zoom in more 1600% i find the guide not quite where its supose to be.
i didnt have any of these problems with my previous version. i looked around in the options and couldnt figure anything to make it better.

Aug 6, 2006I always have trouble taking a small image and making it larger because it always gets blurry and pixelated. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make the image (whether it be a logo etc) larger without making it pixelated?

Jul 30, 2004photoshop/ImageReady, then Lightwave, Director, Flash, etc... that it's been a while since I've installed a button onto a web page.
I've looked high and low for a tutorial that will show me how to do that, but they're all just showing how to make buttons, (gel, liquid, glass, metal, plastic etc...)
What I need to know is what do I do with the button after it's made. :]
IE:
I have a folder with "Pg_1" and "Pg_2", and I have this button I just made in ImageReady, and the rollover, and the down positions work well when tested. Now how do I get it onto "Pg_1" on the righthand side, and then have it take me to "Pg_2". What parts of the Javascript to I copy and paste into the header? etc...
I already have a webiste up, and all I have on it are "text links" because I can't get all these great buttons I've made onto it. How do I do that?

Jul 11, 2008Well in any other program I've used if i create a selection with the selection tool and fill it, it fills just the selected area, when I click now it fills the selection and thers like a huge AA or feather around it, I turned both off and it's still there, how can I make it just fill the selection? Below is an example of what's happening now.

Apr 20, 2004I am making it for my clan for UT2004. Whats a eneral rule of thumb for quailty vs size of file? Not all of us have 100kbs+ connections, so I have to set a limit I guess for you 56ker. So... please take a look at what the site involves.
I currently have the quailty set to MAX. (Note: that im not done editing the interface... gotta edit the WELCOME and MENU lables so they match the big banner on top.) Also.... I just can't figure this out... take a look really closly at the bottom banner and the image under the iframes text and under the navagation.
It doesnt look right does it? The color isnt 100% gray... it seems to trail off to a darker grey or black... yet when I open it in Photoshop it shows that its all gray. Why does it do that and how can I fix it? Also: I dont have the photoshop file for the the MENU and WELCOME image... So how can I recreate the rounded off rectangle? So it has that shadow like appearace?

Sep 24, 2013After opening a file from another designer, this Chinese font has taken over my "omens – regular" font file. Anytime I use it, it converts to this font and each time I need to change a font weight, I must do it manually. As you can imagine, I use our company font all day so this slows me down quite a bit. Have you heard of this? It seems like some sort of font virus. I've researched removing it, yet can't seem to find the original font file to get rid of, which is even weirder."
We tried moving the font family to the trash, emptying the trash, rebooting the machine, and re-adding the font family and it still is happening.

May 30, 2012I had posted in another thread about wanting to clean up a signature and make it look more font like. I tried that and it seemed to be pretty difficult due to the amount of random in a hand written signature.
So I think I'd like to approach this from the other direction. I have a font I like but I don't want it to look like the font (way too common). Is there a way to alter the font (not the entire font set or even to create a new font but just for a one word Logo)?
I'd ideally like to connect two of the letters and also modify the shapes of the letters just a bit.

For example, the document I'm working with contains CourierStd and CourierStd-Bold which are not installed on my system. I would like to set Illustrator so that any time a document that contains these fonts is opened, Courier New and Courier New Bold are substituted automatically.

Jan 10, 2011I'm wondering if there is a Font Preview plugin available that will do what Illustrator SHOULD HAVE done for many years - which is to actually allow you to toggle through your font list and display the text you entered in the fonts you are clicking through - - kind of like what CorelDraw has had for the last 15 years.
Imagine that... being able to review text in a selected font to facillitate the selection of an appropriate visual reference for logos, etc. Earth-shaking, I know.it seems there would be an Illustrator plugin by now that would do this???
Or do I have to continue to have CorelDraw opened up so that I can review text in various fonts to determine the best choice for a given project font?

Sep 6, 2013I am getting an error in Adobe Photoshop CS6 on first one computer and now another one, I took a screenshot of what's happening... For some reason, in the character palette, it wont allow me to upsize the px size above 22.97px. And this is happening on two different computers. I've restarted, updated, tried everything. Once I select the font and try to upsize or downsize the type, it won't allow me to go above that number.
