May 23, 2007I am making some foreward and back arrow buttons. Could you suggest a good size for me to set them up in Photoshop for them ? ie the image size.

Photoshop :: Whats A Good Guide Line For Saving JPG For Websites?
Apr 20, 2004I am making it for my clan for UT2004. Whats a eneral rule of thumb for quailty vs size of file? Not all of us have 100kbs+ connections, so I have to set a limit I guess for you 56ker. So... please take a look at what the site involves.
I currently have the quailty set to MAX. (Note: that im not done editing the interface... gotta edit the WELCOME and MENU lables so they match the big banner on top.) Also.... I just can't figure this out... take a look really closly at the bottom banner and the image under the iframes text and under the navagation.
It doesnt look right does it? The color isnt 100% gray... it seems to trail off to a darker grey or black... yet when I open it in Photoshop it shows that its all gray. Why does it do that and how can I fix it? Also: I dont have the photoshop file for the the MENU and WELCOME image... So how can I recreate the rounded off rectangle? So it has that shadow like appearace?

Jul 30, 2004photoshop/ImageReady, then Lightwave, Director, Flash, etc... that it's been a while since I've installed a button onto a web page.
I've looked high and low for a tutorial that will show me how to do that, but they're all just showing how to make buttons, (gel, liquid, glass, metal, plastic etc...)
What I need to know is what do I do with the button after it's made. :]
IE:
I have a folder with "Pg_1" and "Pg_2", and I have this button I just made in ImageReady, and the rollover, and the down positions work well when tested. Now how do I get it onto "Pg_1" on the righthand side, and then have it take me to "Pg_2". What parts of the Javascript to I copy and paste into the header? etc...
I already have a webiste up, and all I have on it are "text links" because I can't get all these great buttons I've made onto it. How do I do that?
Photoshop :: Whats Wrong With Ps 7 Guides
Apr 10, 2004i have recently switched to ps 7 and i find myself wanting to go back to my 5.5
what is wrong with the guides in there? when using the snap to guide, and i select something within the guides, the stupid selection sometimes falls short or too big by 1 pixel. this renders the whole purpose of the guides useless.
i also find that its much harder to set the guides to match up. i set them, sometimes even zoomed in at 200-300% and when i zoom in more 1600% i find the guide not quite where its supose to be.
i didnt have any of these problems with my previous version. i looked around in the options and couldnt figure anything to make it better.

Lightroom :: 5 - Different Size Thumbnails On Clicking Import Button
Oct 26, 2013When I open Lightroom 5 and click the import button I notice that the thumbnails that appear are not of the same size.
Why?
1) The phots are all 6x6 square
2) The photos are all TIFF format
3) The photos are of similar size approximately 136 MB each

Photoshop :: Making A Button Cropped Out Of A Whole File NOT Look Like A Button
Aug 3, 2004I have a .psd file that was created by someone else for my friends web page. The psd file is the background, logo, and navigational bar for her home page. Each button is a "slice" I think because there are lines around each button on the left side navigational bar (not a true navigational bar just created by buttons) and around the head and body etc. (The lines are blue if that tells you anything - each section is numbered with a little tiny icon that looks a little like the back of an envelope.)
My question - we wanted to change the word on one of the buttons - I did that saved the psd file - no problem. Then I cropped out the button that we had changed. When I saved it to the web (as a jpg) the button looks like a button (a box around it - not a line a raised area that looks like a button.) The other buttons do NOT look like a button (even though the layers are named buttons.)
How can I change it so it looks flat (not button like) like all of the rest of the items on the navigational bar.
AutoCAD LT :: Enlarging Button Icons On Toolbars No Button Image Editor In CUI
Jan 2, 2013I am growing increasinly frustrated. I just installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on my laptop. I managed to get everything customized the way I want, except the button icons on my (classic) toolbar are much too small. If I go into the menu and select 'use large icons', they are too huge. My screen resolution DOES NOT need to be changed or adjusted. I went to the help menu to see what I can do, and found that I can go into CUI and adjust the size of the button icons that way, via the button image editor, however there is no 'button image editor' dialog box when I select any given toolbar command.

Photoshop :: Why Is CS6 Patch Not As Good As CS3
Jun 2, 2012I recently upgraded from Photoshop CS3 to CS6. The patch tool did not appear to work as well in CS4 or CS5 and CS6 appears just as bad.
I've attached an image showing (from left to right) a patch using:
CS3;
CS6 Normal;
CS6 Content Aware.
CS3 is MUCH better.
Photoshop :: Color Not Good In CS5?
Feb 28, 2013my setup is: Pentax K20/80-200,2.8 Star ED, dual studio flashes with semitransparent white umbrellas, X-rite color proofing card, CS5, Syncmaster 214T with Spyder2 for calibration and Epson R2400 with all the proper ICC profiles..trying to repro an artwork with many nuances, particulary blue, red and yellow, the red one will show properly. The red gets smeary and too red.
The artwork has a little more of blue in it but that does not show up in the print, just on screen. The difference from screen to paper is too big for my taste (calibrated the day before). I've recently repaired the monitor with better quality capacitors to enhance performance.
I use glossy Epson paper. Also the blue seems to bleed when printed. Resolution of picture is 360dpi as recommended by Epson. I use "keep sharp edges"when enlarging it from the original 240dpi. This has the effect of retaining the colors at least on screen. Sharp image = more pure colors.

May 6, 2004so i`ve scanned some pics, and simply used ps to crop them and when i`ve printed them off they`re quite pixilated, especially when they did`t seem that bad on the screen on ps. on the print set up the quality levels are all high photo quality level, so that should`nt be a problem. May 13, 2004I'm designing a real-estate flier for a friend and am trying to add some text to a white background. There is going to be plenty of text and photos on the sheet so I'm trying to use a font size of 8. When I printed this out the text was extremely blurry.
