I downloaded a trial of CS3 a few years ago and i'm trying to uninstall it. When I try to I get an error message that says "Setup is not properly installed. Please re-install". How can I fix this?

When I download the trial it does not attempt to install CS3 extended as a separate application but merely "repairs" the existing CS3 installation and does not give me an opportunity to trial CS3 extended!
How can I get CS3 extended trial to install as an additional but entirely seperate application?
To add a further complication the system is a windows 64bit. The current cs3 is installed but does not take advantage of 64 bit features and installs as a 32 bit application in C:Program Files(86). I understand CS3 extended is meant to take advantage of 64 bit so clearly a seperate install into C:Program Files is needed. The whole purpose of the trial is to see how well CS3 extended takes advantage of the Windows 64 bit OS.
I need to identify the Adobe Photoshop CS4 Trial installation to that of fully purchased/licensed installation, only using files/registry entries.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI had IT install our network version of IV 2012. That seemed to install flawlessly.  I still have IV 2011 on my machine  IV 2011 and will be running it for the time being.
My problem is when I try to get the iProperties I get this error. "Plugin not available or not properly installed. Notify the System Administrator that the installation is incomplete. DTCP"
We tried to repair/reinstall 2011 and then removed it and reinstalled, to no avail. I have not tried 2012 yet, as all our files need to be migrated to 2012.
So I just started at a new firm and they are using datalinks for the attic vent calculations. The table is in Excel and once filled out it should populate in the drawing. My CPU was an old employee's so it isn't new installed software but my datalink button says that Excel is not installed properly and will not let me edit the datalink in Autocad. I can however open the Excel file from the reference manager just fine and it opens. I have tried hard pathing and softpathing with no luck. Other people can insert it for me which they did in one file but I want to be operating at 100% like they are.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIn our drawing office we use Inventor in a mining materials handling environment. Our output is mainly structural drawings where we require a bill of materials as part of creating a drawing. Whenever I insert a BOM in the drawing environment I get this table which is labeled in a foreign language (it looks like an Eastern European language) and the format is not as per the standard Autodesk installation setup.
How do I either revert back to the standard setup or do a BOM setup from scratch?
We use IV 2013 Professional on Windows 7 64 bit.

The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support. I tried redownloading and reinstalling it but it still does the same thing and customer support after waiting on hold for 10 minutes for someone to answer, just sent me here.
Also now that this is there, I can't run my CS2. It tells me my settings have changed and I need to reactivate but it won't let me reactivate apparently I guess it's been activated too many times (the first computer I had it on crashed and so I had to reinstall it on this computer I am using now) So now because of whatever is wrong with this CS3 I can never again use my CS2. I don't want to repurchase it, what do I do?
I installed Photoshop CS3 Trial and whenever I run it and choose to begin my trial period I get the following error message:
"Problem with Trial - problem loading trial period for Adobe Photoshop CS3".
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and even ran the Adobe CS3Clean Script but nothing seems to help.
I should note I never installed any earlier version of Photoshop on my system (I use a fresh copy of Windows XP with only a few programs installed).
My font have started to un install. I have put them in two time.
View 13 Replies View RelatedWhy do you have to install both 32 & 64 bit versions of programs? In InDesign & Illustrator, you can uninstall the 32 bit versions using the Windows uninstaller but it won't let you do this in Photoshop; would be good if you were given the choice when installing to save your download quota and drive space.

Uninstalled CS3 yesterday and since then I cannot call PS4 from Br4/ When I double-click on an image in bridge it brings up the magnifier. The menu option, "File-->Open With" does not show PS CS4 as an option nor does it give me a "Choose File" option. It does list Acrobat, my browsers, and Paint as opening programs. How can I get PS4 to show as an option here? Have searched all the Preferences but see no way to do it. On a related note -- is my memory faulty or didn't a double-click at one time allow one to open a photo in an external editor? Oh yes, I can open PS4 from LR, and I can open Br from PS4 via menu or icon click. Would appreciate some help. JEL P.S.I found I can get to PS4 from Br4 by first opening a photo in Camera Row and then opening it via the Open Image button.

When I got my Wacom tablet, it came with a copy of Photoshop Elements 3. I installed it and all was good. Then my laptop's motherboard broke (the manufacturer refused to fix it because the laptop was no longer under warranty and there had been a "silent recall" on the motherboards, but that is all trivial matter here), so I was left with a "homeless" hard drive I could use as a backup for all of my files. Photoshop Elements 3 is still installed on that hard drive and, because of this, I cannot install it on my new laptop using the serial number provided on the install disk.
If I reformat my old hard drive, will I be able to install Elements on my new laptop using the same old serial? If not, is there a way at all to uninstall or at least de-register/de-activate Elements on the old hard drive so I can install it on the new laptop?
My problem started when I was trying to install one of the CS4 premiums. When I was going through and selecting everything I wanted to install, Photoshop CS4 Extended would not select. I clicked a little drop down arrow that said that the reason is because it is already installed. This is not my problem...
I thought it was weird because I had never, ever before had any version Photoshop installed on this computer. But I opted to simply install and then uninstall a Photoshop CS4 Extended trial to see if that would help. After downloading a hefty installer file, I attempted to install it. At the end of the installation I received the following error:

Crap. But I decided to try to uninstall it anyway. At the end of the uninstallation it says that there were some errors uninstalling some of the components. "For more information see below." And then there's nothing below. What.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times. What the Christ, guys? Am I forever doomed to have an incomplete, non-working Photoshop on my computer? Is there any way I can simply delete all the files and remove it from the registry?
A customer has PS 5.0, 5.5 and 7.0 installed. He needs to free up disk space. Can he safely uninstall the older versions without compromising 7.0 or are there files common to 2 or more installations that will cause 7.0 not to work?
